Rescued
“Glenn, you are here to rescue me, right?" Mina asked, looking at him with enthusiasm. Finally, someone has come to set her free. “This is such a nice show to watch. How does it feel being betrayed by someone you trust and consider as a friend", someone spoke behind Glenn. Why did the voice sound so familiar? It seems she had heard it somewhere, but who exactly was it? It sounded like Anastasia but she wasn't sure because it looked like she had vanished into thin air after she returned. “Anastasia!”. Mina gasped as she stepped into view. “Yes, that's right. I thought you had forgotten about me". Anastasia spoke sarcastically, holding her jaw. “But why are you two here? How do you know each other". Mina asked, confused, looking between the two of them. “Well, since your friend has lost his tongue, it's better I explain..." Anastasia said, dragging a chair to face Mina. “... It's simple, he's my partner in crime and he helped me to abduct you." “... surprised right". Anastasia spoke when she registered the shock plastered on her face. She burst into laughter, clutching her stomach. “....Well, your friend here made me promise not to hurt you, so I won't, but don't make me lose my temper else you wouldn't like it. But did you seriously think you could steal Alex from me and live peacefully in your life? You must be joking. I don't give up something I like unless death and once I'm alive no one is going to be with Alex..”, she sneered.
“Alex will find me by hook or crook. I trust him, he loves me and there's no way he will rest until I'm found, but I don't know what he will do to you when he finds out you are behind this. You know he wouldn't spare you if you hurt even a single strand of my hair. I feel pity for you and your mate. You are such a disgrace to womanho..." “Pa!", the sound of the slap resonated in the room. Mina winced at the burning pain on her right cheek. This bitch dared to slap her. She doesn't know who she's messing with. “... watch your tongue before I do the worse. You don't talk to me like that. How dare you". Anastasia spoke seething with anger. Glenn was shocked, standing in the corner resting his arms in front of him. What had he gotten himself into? He didn't mean to get her hurt, it was all due to his selfishness, but he had come too far to back away. Mina burst into a series of laughter. Anastasia was infuriated by the sudden burst of laughter. What is she crazy? because that could only explain why. Who laughs when being slapped hard across the face? This woman was unbelievable. “You think you can keep me here forever. I guess you don't know but I'm marked and whatever I'm going through Alex will feel it. And he is definitely going to set me free. Just wait and see". Mina spoke in a hushed tone. Her throat felt dry, she hadn't drunk water and she was really thirsty. Anastasia groaned and walked out of the room. “...make sure she doesn't escape", she pointed towards Glenn, who nodded in response.
Glenn stepped forward but Mina flinched. What was he up to now?. “I know you hate me and you are disappointed in me, but I love you and I want what's best for you. I didn't mean to hurt you anyway. Find a way to understand and forgive me..." Glenn explained, bending down to the level of Mina's eyes. He stared deep into her eyes, which held a lot of emotions;anger, disappointment and betrayal. “... leave me the fuck alone. I want some space". Mina spoke glaring daggers at him. If looks could kill, she would have killed him by now. Glenn looked back once at her but she turned her head to the side, ignoring his presence. He sighed and walked out. As soon as he stepped out, her stomach growled in hunger. It'd been awhile since she ate and glancing at the sudden intense darkness in the room,it was definitely late. The window to the room she was chained to only had a light source from the broken windows which were way higher in the room. Venus aided in her night vision and she took note of her surroundings. It looked like an abandoned, uncompleted building, the painting on the walls had faded and there were cracks in the ceiling and the wooden tiles on the floor. The only noise she could hear was the squeaking noises of mice and cockroaches, which were her worst nightmare. She just hoped they didn't cross their border towards her. Her eyelids felt heavy but there was no way she was going to sleep in this place that looked scary. What if something bad happens to her? What was Alex and the rest of her family doing now? She missed them already and her eyes glistened with tears. If it wasn't for her stubbornness and ignoring Venus' warnings, she wouldn't have been there. It was all her fault and no one was to blame for this, but she just hopes Alex finds her sooner rather than later. She finally drifted off to sleep despite trying so hard to stay awake.
Mina woke up to the sudden sound of footsteps approaching the room. She looked through the window and realized it was readily morning. The sun shone in its glory through the windows, illuminating the room. The footsteps stopped and she glanced up to meet the cold eyes of Anastasia. Glenn was nowhere to be found. Did he back out already or had he changed his mind, she wondered. “... Looking for your friend", Anastasia asked when she caught her scrutinizing eyes looking over her shoulder. Mina glared at her. “What did you do to him? Why is he not here?". Mina asked, concerned despite his betrayal of their friendship. “I didn't know a captive could really be concerned about her kidnapper. I'm impressed by your actions", Anastasia spoke in sarcasm. “...For your information, your good for nothing friend decided to get you food. He didn't want you to starve to death. That's so thoughtful of him.". At the mention of food, Mina's stomach growled. “..Look who's hungry", Anastasia sneered, stepping out of the door, knowing there was a presence behind her. “I will leave to give you lovebirds some alone time". She flashed them an evil smile and gently walked away.
“...I brought you food". Glenn spoke, taking steady steps in front of Mina, who looked away from his eyes. Glenn glanced at her, unsure of what to do. “I'm not hungry". Mina lied through gritted teeth. “But your stomach said otherwise". Glenn flashed a smile, passing the food to her. “Don't come closer to me. Take the food back, I'm not hungry". Mina added, despite the wafting of the sweet aroma from the food. “Do you want to starve yourself to death?". Glenn asked with concern. “Just stay away from me. I don't want to see you". Mina spoke with anger in her voice. Glenn left the food on the floor and walked out. Mina left the food untouched till evening. She was tempted to eat, but what if it was drugged or poisoned? She was not going to eat. However,no one stepped foot in the room again after the encounter in the morning. It's been days since she got kidnapped and she has gotten used to it. She looked very pale and weak. She had not eaten nor drunk water for days. Her throat felt really dry but she always looked stronger in the presence of Anastasia.

It'd been days since Mina's disappearance and there was no news about her whereabouts. It was as if she had just vanished into thin air. Alpha Alex had been granted permission by several packs. He wrote a letter to them in order to find his mate but she was nowhere to be found. Whoever kidnapped her must have planned it well. Kairo had been restless and was on the verge of losing his sanity, but to no avail. The pack warriors had devoted their time to looking for the missing Luna, but there was no news.
