“What's been taking them so long?". Amya asked, looking at the empty seat in front of her. Mina and Alex had not come early for breakfast. That was so unlike them. “Did I hear someone mention my name"? Mina asked, stepping down the stairs and approaching the set table. “Where's Alex?". Amya asked, looking behind her. “He will come later. He said we shouldn't wait for him". Mina explained, grabbing a seat. “What's that smell?". Mina asked, pinching her nose. She felt the sudden urge to throw up. Amya looked at her in confusion, still holding the lid that was covering the scrambled eggs. “It smells nice. I made it myself". Amya looked at Mina, raising her eyebrows. What was wrong with her today? She had sacrificed her sleep to cook for them and the only appreciation she got was Mina pinching her nose. Was it that bad? “Try some. It's really nice". Amya piled a plate with scrambled eggs and toast and pushed it in front of Mina, who quickly stood up covering her mouth. She got worried and followed her. Mina emptied everything from her stomach and rinsed her mouth with clean water, washing away the debris. Amya was by her side the whole time rubbing her back.



“Thank you. I think I must have caught a fever on our stay during the honeymoon, " Mina explained, heading back to the table. The men were now seated and Alex was seen playing with his nephew on his lap. “Where did you guys go and why did you leave your food untouched?". Alex asked, worried. “It was nothing, I just felt the sudden urge to throw up so I went to the guest washroom but I'm fine now". Mina explained, taking a seat beside her mate. She played with Xavier. She grabbed an apple from the table and got up from the dining table to sit on the sofa with Xavier. Alex raised his eyebrows in confusion. ‘Why did she stop eating?' Kairo asked, concerned. “I have no idea dude, but she smells different, there's a hit of cinnamon and apple pie". Alex explained, lost in thought. ‘Is she carrying our pup because that could be the only explanation of her change in scent'. Kairo explained as usual. “I'm not sure. Let's not draw into conclusion first". Alex dismissed Kairo's wild thoughts. He would be happy if that was the case but he felt she was just sick. “Why don't we take a visit to the pack hospital after breakfast". Alex suggested biting into his toast. Mina nodded and smiled, paying attention to Xavier who was bubbling with his toys.

“I can walk, you know". Mina whispered when Alex ushered her into the passenger seat, fixing the seat belt. “I know you can but you are not feeling well and I can't take risks." Mina rolled her eyes at his comment. “Why don't you keep quiet and sit enjoying the breeze from the cool air". Alex explained and started driving in the direction of the hospital. Alex got down when the pack hospital came into view. He opened the passenger door and helped his mate to step out of the car. Mina chuckled and followed him into the house. “Alpha", the nurse in charge, bowed when she saw the alpha and luna quickly attending to them. “How may I help you", the nurse asked with a smile. “I'm not feeling well so I'm here to do a checkup". Mina explained. “Follow me here luna". The nurse ushered her into the consulting room.



“Hi to what do I owe this surprise?". Dr Morris asked, fixing his glasses well. Alex explained everything, not giving the chance for his mate to talk. Dr Morris smiled and checked her vitals. He drew a blood sample and gave a sterile container for the Luna to pee in it. “Alright,we are going to run this sample and give you the results in ten minutes. Can you please wait for me in the reception room". Dr Morris explained, looking at the nervous couple who nodded and left his office. He was careful with the running of the sample because if there was to be a mistake, the alpha might kill him. Mina placed her head on Alex's shoulder, playing with his hands. She was very anxious about her results. She just hoped it wouldn't be that serious, else she wouldn't know how to handle it.



“Alpha,Luna, the results are in. Can you come to my office for a minute". Dr Morris announced ushering them into his office. Once they took their seats,Dr Morris offered them a big smile. The couple looked at him in confusion. Was he crazy? “Congratulations alpha, the luna is six weeks pregnant". Dr Morris blurted out in exasperation. “What did you just say?". Alex asked, not being able to contain his excitement. “I said the Luna is six weeks pregnant. Here's the results". Dr Morris handed over the results to the couple, who were beaming with smiles. Mina subconsciously rubbed her flat belly. She was really pregnant. She looked at her mate and smiled. “We are pregnant babe," Mina explained, placing her mate's hand on her belly. “I will leave the two of you for now". Dr Morris whispered, excusing himself. “This is good news. I can't wait to share with the rest". Mina squealed with joy. Alex smiled and kissed her forehead. “These are food supplements and vitamins. It would help with the nausea", the nurse explained, handing the drugs over to the luna who smiled.



“I came to look for you but I heard you weren't feeling well. Your dad stopped me from coming over to the hospital. He didn't want me to overwhelm you". Nina explained when she saw Mina approaching the pack house with Alex right behind her and a smile on her face. Nina raised her eyebrows in confusion. Who smiles when they visit the hospital? “Let's get inside. I don't want to create a scene here". Mina explained, walking into the room. She was surprised to see everyone gathered in the living room, including Alpha Damien, who had recently returned from his business trip and her father. “Did you mind link them". Mina asked Alex through the mate link. “I did. Hope I didn't overdo it". Alex explained, staring at his mate. “It's better to say it now than never". Mina whispered, walking over to them. She sat on the empty sofa available while Alex sat on the arm of the sofa placing his arms around her neck.



“So I called you all here because we have some good news for you all. But I would like my mate to convey that information" alpha Alex explained. All eyes were on Mina, who was a bit nervous. She took a deep breath and sighed. She got this, she chanted. “We are expecting a baby. I'm pregnant". Mina explained, looking down. The room erupted with cheers and everyone present congratulated them. “When can you find the gender of the baby so I can plan the baby shower with your mom". Luna Ayla spoke, breaking the hug. “The doctor said two weeks later. I'm already six weeks gone". Mina explained, clasping her hands. “Mom,my mate is tired. She needs to rest". Alex explained, dragging Mina upstairs into the room. “Thank you Mina". Alex whispered and embraced his mate in a hug.

“What can you see, doctor?". Alex asked, staring at the monitor. Mina was lying on the bed paying attention to the image on the screen. “I thought it was one but I saw another one hiding on the bottom. They are twins;a boy and a girl". Dr Morris explained with a smile. Alex gasped in shock and looked at Mina, who just smiled. She already knew about it but she didn't understand why her husband was acting so surprised. She giggled at his reaction. “I'm going to be a father to not one child but two". Alex exclaimed in amazement. Dr Morris smiled at the Alpha's cute reaction.



“So what are you planning to do about your mom? I don't want a baby shower. I just want something simple". Mina explained, leaning back in the passenger seat. “I bet my mom is extra most of the time, but I don't think I can stop her this time around. You know I've been trying several times to speak some sense to her but she's been dismissing my submissions. I'm sorry". Alex explained and parked the car in front of the house. “Here goes nothing". Mina murmured under her breath and walked into the living room, spotting Amya,Gina and her mother-in-law, who were busy in a serious conversation. “You are back already". Mike shouted, going down the stairs. Luna Ayla immediately stood up and grabbed her daughter-in-law, placing her on the seat. “What did the doctor say?". Luna Ayla asked in excitement. “We are expecting twins;a boy and a girl. Here's the image from the scan". Mina explained, placing the brown envelope in her mother-in-law's hand, who gasped in shock when she saw the image. “We can finally have the baby shower tonight instead of tomorrow. It will just be us the family. You need to take a nap before I come to wake you up at six pm in the evening". Luna Ayla explained by pushing Mina to stand up. “Mom, she's tired". Alex intervened but Luna Ayla glared at him. “No buts,we are having it tonight and it's final", she spoke, ordering the omegas to start arranging the pack garden for the event. Alex shook his head. His mom was impossible sometimes.



“This is too much ". Mina explained taking in the decorations in the garden. It was so extravagant. It seems the two grandmothers overworked themselves tonight. Her dress sparkled in the lights. Alex dressed in a casual shirt with fitted jeans. The party went well with Mike getting drunk at the after party. Noah had to help Gina send her into their room.
