“Amya today is the first day of our final exams. I can't be late. What's clearly taking you so long. You better come out at the next minute. Else I would have to break the door". Mina warned. “Will finish soon”. Amya replied from the room. Mina couldn't help but glance at her watch. Thirty minutes for the exams to commence. She can't afford to be stuck in traffic. Before she could knock on the door again, Amya opened the door grinning. “All set and ready to go”. Amya explained, hurrying down the stairs, avoiding Mina's wrath. Mina's face looked horrified at the moment. Mina sighed and followed suit. Mina was glancing at her watch when she bumped into a hard chest.







“Sorry". She muttered under her breath. She glanced up only to come face to face with Alex. “Morning Mina”. Alex spoke to break the awkwardness. “You are still clumsy as ever". He chuckled. Mina frowned, trying to push him away from her. But the sudden contact with Alex's chest made his heart accelerate. He quickly took a step back and questioned his wolf. “Why did that happen”. Alex asked. “I definitely have no idea". Kairo spoke, dismissing Alex. Mina was watching Alex's expression the whole time. It seems he was talking with his wolf because his ocean blue eyes changed to black. He looked different when he was exuding his aura, which clearly didn't affect her. It would have made everyone present cower but she didn't even bat an eye. Mina snapped her fingers in front of him.







“I will be late for my exams. Care to get out of my way". Mina spoke, which made Alex look at her. She looked cute when she was angry. He kept staring into her eyes. “What am I even thinking about?". Alex regained his consciousness and looked away. “Good luck with your exams and happy birthday in advance". Alex spoke exuding confidence. “You do remember my birthday but it's not until five days later". Mina explained. “Never mind, nothing skips me. I think you have an exam to write". Alex spoke. “Yeah screw you, I nearly forgot”. Alex laughed while Mina scurried away.







“I saw that. You guys look all lovey dovey. I wonder why you aren't mates". Nick spoke, scaring the hell out of Alex. He had cleared witnessed the good show in front of him. He didn't know Alex could be calm. Guess he has found the remedy,Mina. “This Mina girl was clearly full of wonders". He thought with his wolf, Milo, agreeing with him. “I'm not ready for any of your games". Alex spoke, observing Mike's actions. Mike laughed, heading outside towards the garden. He'd grown accustomed to the garden close to the pack house because it held beautiful memories of his childhood and his dead parents.







“What took you forever in there? Did you fall down or something". Amya asked when Mina entered the driver's seat, fixing her seatbelt. Mina laughed and started the engine. “I think you better fix your seat belt if you don't want to hit your head". Mina warned. Amya grunted and fixed the seat belt. Mina stepped on the gas, accelerating the speed. “Hold on, we are not in a racing game". Amya spoke. That earned a chuckle from Mina. “We need to get to school on time, sorry, but I can't help it". Mina spoke, offering Amya a wicked smile.







Once they reached school. Amya walked into the corner throwing up everything she ate during breakfast. “I hate you Mina". Amya screamed. Mina laughed and headed into the exam hall. “It's now or never. She has to do her best". Happy with herself for being the first to enter the exam room. She relaxed her brain. Soon, her other classmates started entering the class one by one. After the exams ended,Mina was the first to submit her paper and hurried outside the hallway.



“Damn girl, you are quick". Amya commented, “It was just easy". Mina explained. “Girl, we all know you are a nerd. I guess you blew the paper". Amya exclaimed, getting a smack on the head by Mina. “Why do you have to play all the time?". Mina explained.





“How were your exams, hunnie?”. Beta Nick asked once Mina entered the house. “It was awesome dad. I can't wait to finish school". Mina explained. “Are you sure you will be fine princess?". Nina approached Mina holding her face in her hands. “Mum, I'm not a kid anymore. Stop playing with my cheeks". Mina explained, earning a chuckle from her mother. “Take a shower and come downstairs for dinner". Nina explained. “I think I will pass mom. I ought to learn for tomorrow". Mina spoke. “You ain't learning on an empty stomach. You are eating and that's final. The earlier you hurry, the best". Nina spoke smiling. Mina rolled her eyes and hurried inside her room, taking a quick shower. “She never wins an argument with her mom", she thought. “I agree with you". Venus spoke. Venus had been speaking to her of late and once when she asked, she explained she just couldn't wait to meet their mate.



Mina hurried downstairs and joined her parents for dinner. Once they said a prayer, she just kept stuffing the food into her mouth. She took a cupful of juice, kissed her parents' cheeks and rushed upstairs. Beta Nick and his mate had laughed at their daughter's enthusiasm.





The next days came in a blink. Soon it was graduation day and clearly she had performed marvellously well in the exams. Mina's parents,Luna Ayla, Alpha Damien, Noah's parents, Alpha Alex, Beta Noah and Gamma Nick had all gathered at the graduation ceremony of Amya and Mina. They were so proud of the girls. The girls were congratulated by everyone while the Luna threw them a party in the evening. It was fun to finally finish school. Mina wasn't planning on going to college. She couldn't help the thought of leaving her parents and loved ones behind. Amya, on the other hand, decided to enroll in college and home school. Mina wanted to establish her own restaurant. Yes, she loved cooking and she took those skills from her mother.



After the party,Mina headed upstairs clearly exhausted. She was so happy about tomorrow since it would be her birthday. She will now find her mate. That's if only he was also present in the pack. She wants a mate who will love and cherish her life just like how her dad cherishes her mother. She always envied the love of her parents and hoped for one. “Who could he be? Would he mate and mark me right there once he finds me. I actually want to be ready before". Mina blushed at her thought. Venus scoffed. “Wait till you feel the mate bond, the sparks and the desires, you won't be able to keep your hands to yourself. I promise you on that”. Venus explained. “Well, we have to sleep to regain our strength, tomorrow is the big day and I can't afford to wake up late on my birthday". Mina explained not giving room for Venus to reply. She blocked her and embraced the deep slumber.





“I can't believe our baby girl is going to be eighteen tomorrow. I will have to talk to her mate to have patience so we can spend more time with our daughter. He can't just take her away from us." Nick explained, growling. His wolf becoming protective at the thought of their daughter being taken away from them. “We have to accept the fact darling, she's not young anymore and she definitely will one day leave, so just be happy for her when she finds her mate tomorrow. That will be for the best. Because you clearly couldn't keep your hands off me when you first saw me. We mated right away". Nina explained, blushing hard. Nick chuckled. “And if her mate is an Alpha, you will have no right to bark orders at him because they are known to be possessive males, especially with their mates". Nick nodded while pulling Nina into his chest. He couldn't help it but Nina was right. He needs to play it cool tomorrow.
