The vision

The rest of the weeks of the Luna training passed in a blur. Mina had been performing her duties as the Luna with the help from Amya and Gina. She helped to ensure the safety of the pups in the pack at all times. She once saved a little girl from being bitten by a snake when she was playing in the woods.



Flashback (day of saving the girl)



“So how has the training been going?",her mother asked her when she paid her a visit to their house. “It's not that bad mom, it's quite fascinating how Luna Ayla managed to do all that and handled matters together with her mate despite her being a mother". Mina explained, exhausted. She had been studying all day with the Luna in the gardens and she even forgot her lunch. She ate once she finished with the luna and rushed to her parents' house to pay her parents a visit. But unfortunately, her dad was absent. Nina explained her father had gone on a business trip in a different pack and would return soon. Mina smiled, knowing her father would return safely even if a rogue attack was supposed to happen spontaneously. He was capable of defending himself. She stayed behind to accompany her mom. “It's normal since it will be a daily routine. I'm glad you have been taking everything seriously. I'm proud of you". Nina expressed glancing at her daughter who was beaming with smiles. “So when are you and the Alpha planning to give me a grandchild?". Nina asked abruptly, which made Nina cough slightly, spitting the juice into her mouth on the floor.



“Mom, I'm too young for that and we are not ready". Mina explained, shocked that her mother asked the question she'd been avoiding out of the blue. “You know you can never run away from fate. It's better you choose the simple way of mating with Alpha Alex rather than making your heat ruin your first time. You do know you will experience your heat once you are close by to your mate and I bet you, you won't be able to resist the surge of lustful desires". Nina explained keenly, observing her daughter's reactions. Mina frowned, knowing her mother was right. How did she even forget about her heat? She had never experienced it before but she heard that the pain was unbearable and it only went away with her mate's touch and fully mating.



She sneered at that thought. ‘Great now her wolf has started showing her dirty images of them mating with Alex. This was all thanks to her mother'.‘Stupid horny wolf'. Mina spoke, which made Venus giggle. ‘Girl, you know I've been remaining celibate for a while. Do me a favor and satiate me'. Venus spoke whining. Mina rolled her eyes. Nina smiled when she noticed the green orbs of her daughter's eyes flicking to yellow. She must be speaking to her wolf. Luna Ayla had told her about the current relationship between her daughter and Alex. She was first surprised when she realized they hadn't mated. Her daughter was strong-willed and very stubborn. Now her words had made their trick work. She smiled and nodded.



After eating at her mom's place, she waved goodbye and walked out, heading in the direction of the pack house. Passing through the shrubs, she heard a faint whimper followed by a child screaming for help. Her protective instincts kicked in and she shifted, rushing into the woods towards the direction of the noise. What she saw freaked her out. A young girl about the age of three was stuck in between some snakes who had circled her snapping their mouths to bite her. The girl sobbed and glanced around for help. The moment her eyes saw the massive wolf in front of her,her little brown doe eyes showing with hope. Without thinking twice, Mina used her claws to tear the heads of the snakes from their bodies. She shifted into her human body and bent in front of the little girl. ‘Thank you Luna's, the girl whispered and hugged Mina, which caught her by surprise. She returned the hug and soothed her back. After a while of being like that,they broke their hug and the little girl smiled for the first time after the attack by the snake. “What's your name?". Mina asked, looking at the girl who was contemplating whether to tell her or not. “My name is Mira". The girl replied, staring back at Mina. “What were you doing deep in the woods?". Mina asked, perplexed by the girl's action. She was lucky she could save her on time. If it had been for a rogue she chanced upon, she would have been dead by now.



Mira glanced down knowing she was in the wrong.“I was playing and I saw a beautiful butterfly but it flew away once I was about to catch it, so I followed the butterfly there". Mira explained, playing with her fingers. “Alright, let's get you home. Your parents must be worried". Mira nodded in response. “I'm going to shift into my wolf,jump on to my back once I shift and hold me tightly so you don't slip and fall". Mina explained and shifted to her wolf. Mira jumped on to the wolf and firmly placed her tiny hands around her neck. Mina ran in the direction of the pack house and shifted back once they reached. “Omg thank you so much Luna. I've been looking all over for her",a young woman explained, rushing towards them. “Who is she ?". Mina asked Mira. “My mother". Mira pouted. She knew her mom was definitely going to scold her. “Hi, I'm Lindsey,Mira is my daughter". Lindsey explained, drawing her daughter in for a hug. “How come I don't know you?". Mina asked with confusion seeping in her eyes. “But I know you, Luna. My husband is Zander, Amya's bodyguard", the young woman explained. Mina mouthed, oh and waved them goodbye. Ever since she accepted her fate of being the Luna, she had dismissed the idea of owning a restaurant. The needs and the safety of the pack members matter most.



“News has been circulating you saved a girl earlier today. What happened?". Alex asked when he entered the room in the evening. “She was lost deep in the woods just because she was following a beautiful butterfly. She ended up being stuck in between two snakes. She was lucky I arrived on time". Mina explained in haste. “Did you get hurt?" Alpha Alex asked, worried. “Don't underestimate my skills. I'm equally as powerful as you. I'm your mate, remember". Mina spoke feigning pain. Alex chuckled and laughed. “Alex, can I ask you something?". Mina asked, halting Alex in his steps. Alex nodded, motioning for her to go on. “Why don't the younger kids go to school?". Mina asked, surprised those young kids weren't doing anything but it was just playing. They could learn something.



“Well, I never thought about that. What do you suggest we do about them?". Alex asked, sitting on the empty side of the bed. “Can I handle them with Gina and Amya? I'm great with kids and they love me". Mina explained, giggling. Kairo pictured their mate being pregnant with their pup and waved his tail. Alex smiled and nodded. “You can gather them in the garden starting tomorrow. I will send their parents a link". Alex explained. Mina hugged him, which surprised him. He returned the hug. “Thank you so much. You don't know how happy I am". Mina explained, continuously kissing his cheeks. Alex laughed at her cute reaction. She withdrew her hands when she realized what she had just done. She blushed and looked away in embarrassment. “Don't be embarrassed, you can touch me all you want. I'm yours to keep". Alex explained and winked. “Pervert". Mina whispered and slapped his hands away.
