Quickly opening the garage,Alex realized that one of Mina's cars was nowhere to be found. “She took the car". Mike spoke when he glanced around. “I think so". Amya spoke sheepishly. Before they could even talk further,Alex shifted and ran towards the end of the territory. “We need to find mate". Kairo spoke while they were running. “I know buddy and it's my fault for making her run away". “We will find her. Don't worry". Kairo spoke. Reaching the end of the territory, Alex stopped running when he realized Mina was far gone. He growled and headed back towards the pack house. “Is he going to be OK?". Amya asked her parents when Alex shifted running towards the end of the territory. “I hope so, but I know your brother is a strong one. We will get through this together and I know we will find Mina". Luna Ayla explained hugging her daughter. “I missed Mina already, she didn't even care about our friendship before running away. She could have at least bid me farewell but she just ran." Amya spoke crying. “Would you have allowed her to run away if she had told you about her plan". Luna Ayla asked. “That would be a big no". Amya explained, making the people gathered chuckle at her response. “I will definitely scold her when she returns". Amya spoke with determination, freeing herself from her mother's embrace.



“Did you find her son?".Nina spoke when she saw Alex walking towards them. “I'm sorry but she's gone, but I will try everything in my power to bring her back, even if it takes years". Alex spoke with determination. Nina's heart broke upon hearing Alex's response. Her poor daughter didn't tell her anything that was happening. She took it all upon herself. Beta Nick comforted Nina, who was crying bitterly. “Alpha Alex, I want to apologize for throwing a tantrum earlier without listening to your explanation". Beta Nick spoke. “It's alright, I think you guys have to rest. It would be better if you went home". Alpha Alex spoke. Beta Nick nodded and left with his mate.



After driving for hours without breaking down,Mina stopped the car when she saw a gas station. She got down and refilled the car. Happy she remembered to pack snacks in her bag, she ate the snacks in the car before continuing to drive. She must have passed three towns far away from the pack. The smell wafting through her nose made her realize this city was definitely a human town. This is going to be the best place to hide from Alex. She packed her car when she spotted a restaurant. Carefully unlocking her car, she entered the restaurant. She ordered steak with salad. Eating to her heart's content, she paid and left the restaurant.



She stopped in her tracks when she bumped into someone. Glancing up she saw a petite girl looking to be around her age who looked annoyed about being bumped into. “Sorry my bad, I didn't see you". Mina quickly apologized. She was new in the town and she didn't want to be on anyone's bad side. Gina stood dusting her clothes when she noticed the person who bumped into her looked unfamiliar. How could someone be so beautiful as if they were meticulously carved. “You seem to be new in town". Gina spoke, making Mina smile.



“Hi, I'm Regina but I prefer Gina for short. What about you?". Gina asked, looking at Mina, who seemed to be looking at her. “I'm Mina. Do you know any hotel around where I could get to sleep for the night". Mina asked when she realized the girl who was now identified as Gina was talking friendly to her. “I know just the right place. Come with me". Gina spoke smiling. She asked for help. “Is it far from here". Mina asked. “About 30 minutes walk". Gina explained. “Why don't we board my car and you show me the way". Mina spoke.



“You drive?". Gina asked and mentally slapped herself for acting dumb. “I do and that's my car over there". Mina pointed towards her Range Rover.“Is that car truly yours? Are you a spoilt brat or are you married to a rich man". Gina exclaimed. Mina giggled at her actions. “Well, let's say my dad gifted it to me on my birthday". Mina spoke smiling. “I knew you were a spoilt brat, but what are you doing in this small town?. Did you run from home?". Gina asked because that could be the only explanation she came up with. Because who in their right minds will settle in this small town with this luxurious car? “Can we talk about this later once we settle". Mina asked, clearly exhausted. She has driven for hours and a hot bath will do. “Okay let's go". Gina spoke.



Mina opened the car for them to board. “Wow, the insides look way better". Gina exclaimed. “So where are we going?". Mina asked. “To my house". Gina explained. “So what brought you here to Urichsville?". Gina asked, looking at Mina attentively. “Well, that's a story to tell for another day". Mina explained focusing on driving. Gina stopped pressing her with questions because she realized she was making her feel uncomfortable. The rest of the drive to her house was silent. Once they reached the apartment,Mina scrutinized the building. It looked to be a two-bedroom apartment which looked very small. “You own this?". Mina asked. “Yes I do, that's the only inheritance I have after my parents died in a car accident. Let's get inside, the weather is very cold tonight". Gina explained. Mina nodded and though she was unaffected by the cold due to her werewolf abilities, she still followed her inside.



“This is the kitchen and that is the living room. This is my room and that over there is where you will be sleeping". Gina said, pointing to the room on the right side. “How much do you charge for your room?". Mina asked. “Are you going to stay here for long? I have this feeling we will be best of friends". Gina spoke. Mina giggled and nodded. “Well, I know you are from a rich home just looking at how beautiful you are, but I think you will need to work too". Gina explained. “Which work do you suggest?". Mina asked, taking a better look at the apartment. It looked bigger and cozy on the inside with modern decorations. “I work in the café shop along the way and my boss is not like the stingy employers you would find. Lovely pays really well and you seem to be lucky because she's looking for workers". Gina spoke. Mina thought about it for a while and nodded. “Well, that's a great idea. I will see you tomorrow. Good night". Mina spoke, opening the room for the first time. Placing her stuff in the small wardrobe in the room, she took a hot bath to relax her muscles and slept right after she laid on the bed.
