“Who's that?". Mina heard her mom speaking. She hurriedly entered her room and laughed at the folly she would have made of her parents if they had entered her room. She made sure to neatly arrange her pillows and teddy bears nicely in the shape of a human sleeping before she left. She smiled at her brilliant idea. Her parents were not a fan of disturbing her sleep, especially on the weekends. They will let her sleep. She rearranged her bed. She stunk from all the running and sweating. Looking at her appearance in the mirror,her hair was stuck into her face and her dress looked disheveled. She looked like a bird's nest. She sneered. Glancing at the watch on her bedside, she realized it was thirty minutes past six. She rushed into the bathroom and took a cold shower. Walking out of the washroom, she stepped into her closet. She needed to look really beautiful on her birthday. “Heck she might find her mate today, so she needed to look presentable at all costs". She thought, making Venus giggle. “It seems you are taking this mate thing more seriously than me". Venus shot back. Mina couldn't help but burst into laughter.





After spotting the right dress for the day, which was a yellow dress which showed her cleavage a little and fitted perfectly around the waist, she matched it with yellow sandals. She sat in front of her mirror and curled her hair letting it fall in waves. She accentuated her look with a smokey eye and pink lip gloss. Happy with her appearance, she walked downstairs. Her parents were already seated waiting to start their meal. “Happy birthday our little princess",her parents said in unison. Mina smiled and embraced them in a hug. “I made all your favorite dishes this morning and we plan on throwing a birthday party this evening for you". Nina spoke to her daughter, glancing at her mate, who replied with a quick nod. “What do you say about that? Nina asked her daughter. “Sounds fun". Mina replied, taking the seat opposite her dad in the dining area.





“Mmm this food is delicious mom". Mina commented on her mother's cooking skills. “Thanks dear, but your dad offered great assistance. I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own". Nina replied, smiling at her mate. “Let's enjoy our meal, then we will show you the presents we got for you Mina". Beta Nick spoke. Mina nodded and enjoyed her meal with her parents. After eating, she offered to help her mom wash the dishes but Nina pushed her outside. “Dad, I want to see the gifts you got me this year". Mina spoke. Beta Nick nodded and glanced towards his mate, walking out of the kitchen. “Lets wait on your mom". Beta Nick replied.





“I will open mom's own first". Mina spoke, unwrapping the present her mother gifted her. “Wow mom, this is so nice". Mina exclaimed, glancing at the silver necklace adorned with diamonds and her name fixed in the middle. “Welcome dear. I'm glad you like it". Nina spoke smiling. “I don't like it mom, I really love it. This is the best". Mina explained, hugging her mom. “Dad, can you give me a clue on why the box is so small". Mina asked. “That's no fun dear. It would be nice if you should open it yourself". Beta Nick suggested. Mina grinned when unwrapping the box. There in the box was a key and a locket. Opening the locket was a picture of her and her parents. She glanced at the key, realizing it was a car key. She hugged her dad. “Thank you so much mom and dad. You really made my day.". Mina spoke. “If you are done, let's go show you the car itself. It was delivered early in the morning but I had to drive it into the garage so it would be a surprise". Beta Nick explained, gaining a nod from Mina, who followed closely behind her parents towards the garage. “At the count of 3 we open the garage". Beta Nick spoke. “1,2,3",they chorused and the door snapped opening displaying the latest white range Rover. Mina smiled and her eyes were filled with joyful tears. “I love you guys so much", she spoke, entering the car to get a good glimpse of the inside design. “I'm happy she likes it". Beta Nick spoke, making Nina nod.





After the special time with her parents,Nina was in her room watching a movie when she heard the bell of their house ring. She quickly rushed downstairs but the door was already opened by her parents. “Happy birthday bestie". Amya spoke, crushing Mina in a hug. “We are going to have some nice girl time this afternoon". Amya spoke, dragging Mina outside. “Be back at six pm for the birthday party.". Nina spoke. “Drive safely girls". Beta Nick spoke, dismissing the girls. They needed to put the birthday party planning in place. They ought to invite Luna Ayla and Alpha Damien, along with a few friends of theirs and Mina's friends as well. Mina's friends;they mean Alpha Alex,Beta Noah and Gamma Mike. She's going to be surprised when she gets back. Amya had worked perfectly with their plan to drag Mina away.





“So where are we going today". Mina asked while driving. “Its a surprise but just follow the directions I'm giving you". Amya spoke. “You will see when we get there". Amya spoke, looking out the window. “That's so unlike you not babbling about what it is about". Mina spoke. Amya glanced at Mina feigning pain. “What's the good of it being a surprise when I give you a clue? Just drive". Amya spoke. Mina groaned. When they reached in front of the popular beauty spa, Amya told them to stop the car. “We are going to have a nice girly time". Amya spoke while they entered. “We've been expecting you guys", the masseur spoke. “You really put in a lot of effort planning this. Thank you". Mina spoke smiling. “You are welcome bezz". Amya spoke stressing on the nickname she used to call Mina. After their girly time with a new makeover,they headed back home.



Reaching the front patio of their house after stepping out of the car,Mina realized the lights were out. “Where have they all gone?". Mina asked, glancing at Amya, who just shrugged and said she had no idea. With her enhanced werewolf ability, she was able to see a little bit in the darkness. “Hello, is anyone there?". Mina spoke a little too loudly. “Surprise". The lights went on and Mina was shocked to see the faces of her loved ones gathered in the name of her birthday. She couldn't hold in her tears of joy. “Thanks guys. I really appreciate it". “I didn't know I meant a lot to you guys,no offense". Mina chuckled.





“How can I afford to miss my goddaughter's birthday". Luna Ayla spoke smiling. “Happy birthday kiddo". Alpha Damien spoke smiling. “Happy birthday buddy". Noah spoke embracing Mina in a hug. “Happy birthday kick ass". Mike spoke, making Mina laugh. “You guys planned all this". Mina asked. They nodded. “Wait but where is Alex? He didn't make it". Mina spoke sounding disappointed. “He will come hunnie but he has to attend to pack issues first". Luna Ayla spoke, making Nina nod in understanding.





“It's time to cut the cake, make a wish". Nina spoke. Mina closed her eyes and wished that the moon goddess would grant her the best mate. She opened her eyes and blew the candle, making the people clap. She opened all the presents given to her but couldn't help glancing at the door to see whether Alex would come out any moment from now.

“Wheww, that's the last document". Alpha Alex spoke, walking out of his office. He had to hurry to Mina's birthday. He took a quick shower and darted outside, heading towards Mina's house. Kairo was pacing in his head, making him antsy. He kept saying their mate was nearby as they approached the front door of Mina's house. Taking a deep breath, Alex entered the house.



Venus had been pacing in Nina's head for a while now, making her feel dizzy. She just didn't know why Venus was still not calm. That's so unlike her. She caught a whift of orange and cinnamon mixed together. She couldn't help but sniff to find the source of the scent that was making her heart beat faster in her chest. She came to a halt when the scent drove her to Alpha Alex, who was looking down. “Mate". Venus whined startling Mina.
