News they say travels faster than wind. It's been several weeks since the elders visited. But it seems the majority of the neighboring packs were already aware of Mina being Alpha Alex's mate. Well, it didn't skip a particular person who was head over heels in love with Alpha Alex, Anastasia.





Anastasia's POV

I was busy painting my nails when I heard a knock at my door. Clearly annoyed about being disturbed, I opened my door only to see the face of my dad. I quickly put on a smile. “Dad what are you doing here this early in the morning?". I quickly asked disturbed. The expression on his face told me it was not going to be anything good. “Can I come in?". My dad asked. I nodded and gestured for him to enter. My dad sat on the sofa across my room and patted the sofa for me to come to sit beside him. “Before you want to ask me why I'm here, allow me to speak first". My dad explained with seriousness. “I think you failed the simple assignment I gave you to do".



I frowned, not knowing what this conversation was leading to. “I thought you succeeded in convincing Alpha Alex to accept you as his Luna, but why am I hearing from the elders that he has already found his mate? .You can't complete just a simple task. You are just useless like your dead mother". My dad spoke. I didn't like the fact of being forced to do something and the fact that I'm being compared to my innocent dead mother. I hate my dad for this, but I'm not going to show up, I will just play along. It's true I loved Alpha Alex, but if he's found his true mate, why do I have to interfere with the moon goddess' matters? But I knew my dad would not let this slide.



“So what do you expect me to do now?". I asked, wanting to get the conversation over with as soon as possible. “You are smart and I think you know exactly what to do. You either eliminate that mate of his or you find ways and means to be his Luna so that I can gain this alliance". My father laughed after his useless and boring lecture. Thinking about it, I still love Alex. I think my dad is right. I laughed at the evil thought. Alpha Alex I'm coming for you and you are mine.

When Mina woke up early in the morning, the bed was empty. Where could Alex be by this time? She thought. Mina quickly woke and dashed into the bathroom searching for Alex but he wasn't there. She felt a bit disappointed. Having an already planned and scheduled day, she hurried into the bathroom to take a quick hot shower. Wrapped in a towel, she walked into the closet looking for the perfect outfit of the day. “Voila!” she exclaimed, finding just the right outfit for the day. She settled for a pink fitted blouse with a pair of jeans and some sandals. Tying her hair into a ponytail and letting loose strands fall from the sides of her face, she glanced at the mirror. She was happy with her appearance and walked downstairs. Her stomach growled when she thought about breakfast. She blushed in embarrassment and entered the dining room to see everyone already seated, including Alex. “Why didn't he wake me up?". Mina frowned, shooting daggers with her eyes. Alex grinned.



“Since you are here,we can now eat". Amya spoke. Mina looked at her confused. “Ouch". Amya exclaimed when Alex stomped on her feet. “Must you be running your mouth all the time?". Luna Ayla scolded her. “Where are you guys waiting for me to come downstairs before you start eating?". Mina asked, hoping they shook their heads no but everyone nodded. “Why didn't you wake me up Alex?" Mina glared at him. “How can I afford to wake you up when you were sleeping so soundly". Alex explained, smiling. Mina chuckled and her stomach growled again, making her blush in embarrassment. “I guess someone is hungry. Let's eat". Alex spoke. Mina stuffed her plate full with food. “Are you going to eat all that?". Mike asked, astonished.



“Yeah, why not when the food smells delicious?". Mina explained, digging into her food. “You will get choked". Noah added, “Stop making her feel uncomfortable, enjoy your meal dear". Luna Ayla scolded the boys. Everyone remained silent and continued eating. Alpha Alex was amused by Ayla's appetite. She eats a lot for her small body. He chuckled. “You guys probably don't know but this is the smallest quantity of food I've ever seen her eating". Amya spoke, breaking the silence. Everyone stopped to look at Amya. “You are such a snitch". Mina spoke laughing.



After eating, the omegas cleaned the table and got rid of the plates. Mina offered to help them but they declined her service. “Why did you want to disappoint me at the table?". Mina asked Amya while they walked in the pack's garden. “It was fun, wasn't it". Amya chuckled. Mina tossed her sandals at Amya, which hit her head. “Did you just throw something at me". Amya asked, laughing. “I did and I think you like it". Mina smiled. Settling on the grass in the garden, the girls enjoyed the view of the beautiful flowers in the garden.



“Did you shift yet?"Mina asked, looking up at Amya, who chuckled in response. “Thought you would never ask. I did and she's called Trudy. Unfortunately, she doesn't like talking like me. She's so boring". Amya explained. Mina laughed at Amya's gesture. “What do you think about us shifting and running into the woods for a lone time together". Mina said. “Please mindlink my brother first. We don't want him destroying the pack house in search of you". Amya explained, giggling. Mina nodded.



“I'm going for a run with Amya in the woods. We will be back soon". Mina spoke through the link to Alex. “Alright but don't go very deep into the woods, you never know what's lurking around. Stay in the territory and come quickly, else I might have to track you down", Alex spoke, which earned a chuckle from Mina. She blocked the link before he could change his mind. “All set shall we". Mina motioned for Amya to stand up. Reaching the end of the woods,they stripped and shifted into their wolves. Amya was a brown and white wolf. “You look gorgeous". Mina spoke while nuzzling her wolf with her snout. Unannounced, Amya dashed into the woods, running at full speed, which Mina followed, growling with annoyance. She soon caught up with Amya and pushed her on to the ground playfully. Shifting back into their human forms,they changed into their clothes and looked at the beautiful waterfall. “Have you been here before?". Amya asked in awe. “Yeah, this is my favorite hideout". Mina explained. “It looks beautiful, don't you think so?". Amya asked. “I know so". Mina chuckled.



“I know this is gross but I want to ask" Amya stated, glancing at Mina for approval. “So when are you planning on mating and marking with my brother". Amya asked grinning. Mina coughed and stood up from the grass. “I think it is time to head back to the pack house". Mina spoke, giving no room for explanation. “But you haven't answered my question?". Amya whined. “I choose not to because it's my personal life and that's gross". Mina explained, “You are no fun". Amya pouted, which made Mina chuckle. The cracking of bones made Amya realize that Mina had already shifted. “Catch me if you want me to tell you". Mina spoke through the link and dashed off into the woods, heading back to the pack house. “Hey, that's not fair, wait for me". Amya shouted, running after her.



Reaching the pack house,Mina waited for Amya. Amya quickly came out from the woods running after Mina, who had already taken off. Mina tripped and fell with a loud thump. “Payback is a bitch". Amya scolded. Mina giggled and reached out for Amya, who helped her to her feet. “Alright fine, I will tell you". Mina spoke, which Amya returned with a smile. “We haven't mated yet and, as you can see, there's no mark on my neck, so yes also, we also haven't marked each other". Mina explained, watching Amya's actions. Amya stood there in silence making Mina worried. “But what are you waiting for, because I heard once you find your mate you can't keep your hands off each other, so why the delay?". Amya asked, confused. “I'm just not ready yet". Mina explained, not wanting to delve further. Amya changed the subject when he realized Mina's change of mood. “So guess what's happening tonight". Amya asked. “I don't know unless you tell me". Mina replied, looking at Amya grimly. “Movie night!". Amya exclaimed. “I'm in, but no horror movies since you can't handle them well and I don't want any mental breakdown". Mina spoke and Amya chuckled in reply. She knew horror movies scared her the most, but it was fun watching them with Mina.
