Running away from the pack

Alex ran through the woods towards the pack house when he felt a break in the mind link. Running as fast as his legs could carry him, he dashed into the pack house. He halted when he realized Mina's parents, his parents and friends were looking at him as if he had committed a crime. The tears on Nina's face made him realize who had severed ties with the pack. But he couldn't accept that fact so he walked in front of Beta Nick. Looking up before he could open his mouth,there was a burning sting on his left cheek. Seeing the anger on Beta Nick's face, he realized he was the one who had dared to slap him. “What did you do that made my daughter run away from her own pack? Didn't I warn you to take good care of my daughter and not hurt her? Why did you break your promise"? Beta Nick spoke fuming with anger. He never knew Alpha Alex could hurt his daughter to the point that she had to run away. Alex kept silent, glancing at the accusing faces facing him. So they all blamed him without listening to his side of the story.





“Thought I raised you better. You are such a disgrace". Alpha Damien spoke, dragging his wife along with him. Amya looked at her brother feeling sorry for him. Noah and Mike looked at him with apologetic faces. “What happened son?". Luna Ayla spoke, holding Alex's cheeks in her hands. She felt her son was hurting, but she just couldn't defend him when something like this had happened. Alex freed himself from his mom's embrace and settled on the nearby sofa. “Let me explain what happened, you can't just blame me without listening to my side of the story". Alex spoke, looking at the others for approval. Once they nodded their heads, he continued.





“I was in the office busy with work but I don't know what happened because I felt asleep because one of the omegas I hadn't recognized before brought me orange juice. The next thing I realized, I felt someone sucking my cock. I know this sounds gross but I thought it was a dream because I saw Mina. I woke up when the glass plate Mina was holding broke into pieces. The noise woke me up but she had the impression I was cheating on her. When I looked at who the girl was, I realized it was Anastasia. I don't know how she managed to sneak into my office without the warriors alerting me. I think someone in this pack is the traitor. But I don't think that's a good reason for Mina to leave without letting me explain". Alex spoke, glancing at the people gathered who nodded their heads and they believed him. Beta Nick bowed his head in shame for judging him before letting him explain.



“I think I have a clue as to why she left". Amya spoke, breaking the silence. “The day we watched the movie, I entered the living room later but I realized Mina was holding a letter and shedding tears. I didn't understand why she was crying. I thought you hurt her somehow. When she realized I'd entered she quickly wiped her tears, faking a smile and clutching something hard in her hands. I acted as if I hadn't seen anything, but when the movie ended, I did something creepy. I followed Mina silently and realized she had tossed the letter in the trash can before entering the room. I hurriedly picked up the letter and read it in my room.





The letter was from Anastasia and she said she was pregnant and was carrying your child. And I know Mina is naive and so innocent she believed it. It's just Anastasia's plan. I'm sure she wants to be your Luna, but I don't understand why she claims she's carrying your child. Have you slept with her before". Amya explained, looking at Alex for an answer. Alex sighed and nodded. “We did fuck but it was just a one-time thing and it happened at my coronation. I used protection. I'm not dumb to impregnate that bitch". Alex explained, looking at the shock plastered on everyone's faces .As soon as he finished, they all gasped.



“That son of a bitch". Alpha Damien spoke, alerting their attention. “What's wrong dear". Luna Ayla spoke, trying to calm her mate, who was very angry. “I think I know who is behind this. It's definitely Alpha Declan. That bastard is a conniving and cunning man. After all these years, he doesn't want to give up the fact that we will never form an alliance after what he did. Who the fuck kills his own mate just because she couldn't bear him a son. He's always been after our pack for us being a successful pack. For now, it will be better if we act like we have fallen into their traps. We also need to find the traitor in this pack who has been feeding them with information. Because I think this is all planned". Alpha Damien explained, glancing at the others, especially his angry son who had lost his mate due to a misunderstanding.





“I understand you are hurting son, but take time. We can't afford to let them win." Luna Ayla spoke, trying to speak some sense to her son, who looked like he would kill anyone who dared to cross his path. “I will kill that fucking bastard and particularly Anastasia for ruining my life". Alpha Alex spoke in anger. Beta Noah took steady steps, approaching Alex and tapped his shoulder. “I know how you feel, man, but the best thing we have to do is track down Mina. She could be in danger if she was an obstacle to their plan". Noah explained. “Yes she can't be far". Alex spoke, leaving the pack house sniffing for Mina's scent. The rest followed suit. “Guys, I think the scent is masked by something". Beta Nick spoke, halting Alex in his steps. “But I can still smell her scent". Alex explained. “I think it's because you are her mate, there's something unique about your mate's scent". Nina, Mina's mother, explained abruptly. The scent led them to the garage.
