Few years later

Falling down from the bed and landing on the floor with a loud thud,Mina woke up from her sleep. “Great, that's just a great way to wake up". She scolded her bad sleeping habits. Venus rolled her eyes. She had become quiet since they left the pack house. She'd been yearning for her mate but she knew better than to complain. Although their mate cheated on them, she just didn't understand why Mina had taken matters into her own hands without listening to their mates side of the story. “You now want to talk to me". Mina asked her wolf. “As if I have a choice when I'm stuck with you for eternity". Venus whined. “You broke my heart". Mina spoke teasingly. “I think that human will be coming anytime soon. It's better you take a bath first before she graces with her presence". Venus explained. “She likes talking just like Amya. Oh God I miss her already but I can't call her now else Alex will track me down". Mina explained laying the bed properly. Venus yirped at the sound of her mate's name.



“You better get a grip on yourself. I don't want anyone to know I'm a werewolf, so you have to control yourself. Don't let our secret out with your lack of control". Mina warned. “You had better find a proper explanation to give that human. I'm sure she won't let yesterday's conversation slide". Venus spoke smirking. After their chitchat,Mina rushed into the washroom for a cold shower. She wrapped a towel around her and stepped into the bedroom. Once she opened the wardrobe, she scolded herself for bringing little clothes along, she would need to go on a shopping spree. She chuckled at that thought and removed her skinny jeans and her favorite crop top. After wearing her clothes, she stood in front of the mirror to check whether she was well dressed. Satisfied with her looks, she held her long wavy brown hair in a high ponytail and applied a little make-up on her face, topping it with nude lip gloss.



Finished with her appearance, she wore her sandals and opened the door. She was amused to find Gina holding her hands about to knock on her door. Gina scratched the back of h

er head. “I thought you were not a morning person so I was about to wake you up. I didn't know you were awake already". Gina explained while walking towards the kitchen. “I made some toast with omelette and milk,let me get them from the kitchen so we have our breakfast. Why don't you sit down and wait for me". Gina explained. After some few minutes,Gina arrived with two plates of servings and two glasses of milk. “Here's yours". Gina spoke, pushing the plate and glass of milk to Mina. Mina mumbled thanks and started digging in her food. “Mmmm this is so delicious. You sure know how to cook". Mina moaned, praising Gina, who blushed in embarrassment. “That's just a simple dish that anyone can make. I just tried my luck". Gina explained, giggling. “Well, I would say this is a great way of starting the day". Mina spoke.



“So what brought you here to Urichsville?". Gina asked, glancing at Mina, who just shrugged. “I told you she wouldn't let this conversation slide". Venus mocked Mina, who only giggled, confusing Gina about her actions. Mina glanced up and saw the confused look plastered on Gina's face. “Sorry about that, it just felt funny". Mina explained, making Gina smile. “Did I make you uncomfortable with my question? You can stop and tell me whenever you are ready. I was just curious". Gina explained, mentally scolding herself for making her feel uncomfortable. “Well, it's fine, I will tell you. Actually, I'm the only daughter and child of my parents.". Mina explained, making Gina mot

She mentally prepared herself making sure she doesn't talk about mates and bond because Gina would never understand and she just couldn't freak her up with her identity. “So I'm married but I caught my husband cheating on me so I left before he could find me". Mina explained, realizing that their mating bond is considered forever like a wedding ceremony held by humans. “That's so sad. I'm sorry about that. Well, if you want to move on from your husband, I can certainly help you". Gina explained stuffing a toast into her mouth.



They ate in silence after their conversation. Mina offered to help Gina in the kitchen with the washing of dishes. After everything,they both cleaned the apartment and headed to Gina's work place in Mina's car. Parking the car in the shop recognized as the café shop, Mina and Gina got down. “Is this where you work?". Mina asked. “Yes come on in, I think Lovely is already in". Gina explained, “Who's Lovely, by the way". Mina asked, following closely behind Gina into the shop. “That's my boss. She owned this shop with her husband but she has been managing it single-handedly since the demise of her husband". Gina explained, putting her bag on a shelf and wearing her apron. “Doesn't she have kids?". Mina asked. “Unfortunately, she has no kids of her own". Gina explained dragging Mina towards the office with the inscription Manager's office.



“Knock knock". Gina knocked on the office door of Lovely, who responded with a come in. She entered with Mina. “Hi Gina, you are early to work today. What did I tell you about resting well". Mrs Lovely scolded while still focusing on the file infront of her. “I rested well enough". Gina replied by gripping the edges of her dress,a habit she does when she's nervous. Mrs Lovely placed the file aside and looked up for the first time since they entered the office. “And who is that beautiful lady behind you?". Mrs Lovely asked. “Oh that's Mina, my new friend. She's new in town and she wants a job". Gina explained, glancing at Mina, who only nodded in approval. “Can you make coffee, my dear, and muffins". Mrs Lovely asked Mina in a friendly manner. “I don't know but I can try". Mina explained confidently. “I like your enthusiasm, you can start working today. Gina will show you around. Have a nice day girls". Mrs Lovely said, dismissing the girls from the office.





“She's so friendly". Mina spoke. “I told you so, let's start work. The customers will soon be arriving". Gina replied, motioning for Mina to put on her apron. She helped Mina prepare the various types of coffee and cupcakes and filled the juice dispenser. As soon as they finished settling everything, the customers started arriving. “We have a new face today and she's so adorable". One woman spoke while ordering her food. Mina nodded and mumbled thanks. A lot of people complimented her on her looks and her customer service. Once the majority of the customers were served, the girls sat down on the bench. “You did great today". Gina complimented Mina. “I'm a fast learner and it's not that tiring, but are you the only employee here". Mina asked, and Gina nodded in response. “It must have been hard on you". Mina asked. “Well, it was fun since Mrs Lovely helps most of the time and, since you are here, I won't be lonely anymore". Mina explained.





“Can I get my usual?",an unfamiliar guy said. “Glenn is that you? Thought you missed your morning favorite order". Gina spoke serving the guy. “And who is that beautiful girl sitting over there behind you? Is she your new colleague? ". Glenn asked, mesmerized by her beauty. “Yeah, she is a friend and she will be working with me from now onwards. Her name is Mina". Gina explained, “Hi nice to meet you. I'm Glenn and Gina's friend". Mina glanced at Gina, who nodded and returned his handshake. “Nice to meet you". Mina replied quickly, withdrawing her hand. Venus didn't like them being touched by another male. She offered Glenn a tight-lipped smile and attended to another customer. They closed the shop at midday and Mrs Lovely offered them good pay. “All this for a day". Gina exclaimed, looking at the money Mrs Lovely gave them once they stepped out of the shop. “Oh yes and she gives a bonus too". Gina giggled. After eating lunch,Gina escorted Mina to the mall for shopping. Once they came home,they were so worn out. They watched a movie and once it was late, said their good night and went to bed.
