Glenn sat down at the restaurant thirty minutes prior to the time arranged for the meet up. He didn't want to waste any time on finding his friends. He glanced back when someone cleared their throats. “You must be Glenn. I'm Anastasia". Anastasia smiled, sitting down. “You said you had information for me. Just say it faster". Glenn spoke hastily. “Patience"Anastasia flashed an evil smile. “Why don't we talk after eating". Anastasia spoke, leaving no room for argument. “Waiter, can I get two sandwiches and two glasses of coke". The waiter scurried away after jotting down their choice of food. “So back to your question while we wait for the waiter. Well, I did a thorough investigation before finding you and it wasn't easy, but I think you are wise enough to make a good decision once I'm done talking". Anastasia explained, observing his reactions. Glenn had a bad feeling about this whole situation. “Ma'am, this is your order", the waiter spoke, placing the food on the table.



“It's very simple. I've had a crush on Alex for a long time. I wonder why he chose that bitch over me though, but I just want you to help me. In the end, you get to be with the bitch you love while I get to be with Mina". Anastasia explained, biting meticulously into the sandwich. “What will I gain from this?". Glenn asked, considering the dangerous offer. He knew this was risky and Mina would hate him in the end, but all is fair in love and war. “I didn't know you were greedy as hell. Well, that's most expected of humans. Well, you just have to be there when I call". “I agree, but if you hurt a single hair on her head, you are done for". Glenn warned, seething with anger. Anastasia chuckled at his confrontation. “Just eat your food". Anastasia spoke through gritted teeth. “I'm sorry but I lost my appetite, but as a gentleman, I will offer to pay the bill". Glenn spoke sarcastically, standing up with the bill to pay at the counter. “It worked dad". Anastasia sent a text message to her dad beaming with joy. ‘What have I gotten myself into'. Glenn thought while sitting in the car driving back home.

Present day

“What are we doing deep in the woods? What if we come across a wild animal?". Glenn asked, shaking with terror. Anastasia chuckled and continued walking. “Take this syringe. It contains a sleeping tablet,it will knock her to sleep". Anastasia explained handling the syringe to Glenn. Glenn stared at the syringe in confusion. “You haven't told me who we are looking for. And why are we using syringes anyway? I don't want to hurt anyone. I quit". Glenn said, determined. “We've come too far for you to back away. You will know once we get there, just follow my instructions else if I go down, I'm dragging you along".



Mina halted when she reached the stream, shifting back into her human form. She wore her clothes and sat on the bank of the stream dangling her feet in the water. It felt cool yet comforting. ‘We need to head home now something ain't right'. Venus warned again. Mina's train of thoughts was disturbed by the snap of twigs behind her. She snapped her head but there was no one. That was really strange. Before she could walk,there was a sharp pain in her neck. She grabbed her neck and fell into the deepest depths of darkness. ‘No'. Venus whined. “I'm sorry". Glenn muttered, lifting her on his shoulder. “Good job that was so simple." Anastasia clapped, stepping out of his hideout. “What do we do with her? Do I get to flee with her and live our own life alone”. Glenn asked. “Idiot.."Anastasia smacked his head. Just follow my lead. Like the happiest woman I will be if you do that, Alex will find her by all means and when he does you will be dead". Anastasia sneered at his foolishness.



‘Mate, go find mate. I can't feel her connection’. Kairo warned him, feeling restless. “Let me finish with this document, then we can go and look for our mate". Alex teased. ‘No go now, something is not right’. Kairo warned. Alex stood up abruptly and headed downstairs. “Why isn't she responding to the link?. Isn't she supposed to be back from the run by now or is she playing hide and seek with me" Alex asked, with still no response from Mina. He stopped when he saw Mike and Gina making out on the living room sofa. “Have you guys seen Mina around?"Alex asked, burning with rage. “No, I thought she was with you". Mike replied. “Search through the other rooms in the pack house and her parents' house. I have an idea. She might be there. I will go check into Amya's room". Alpha Alex ordered in his Alpha command.



Alex barged into Amya's room without knocking. “Where's Mina?". Alex asked, clearly disturbing Amya's sleep. “I haven't seen her since breakfast". Amya replied. “Mina is nowhere to be found in the pack house". Alex spoke in a serious tone. “You've got to be kidding me. She hasn't run away again,has she". Amya asked in shock. Alex growled at the mention of their mate leaving them. “Help me search". With this command, Alex walked out.



Alex called a meeting with the trusted pack warriors and his family, including the beta and gamma. “Guys, I think Mina has disappeared since morning. No one has seen her return from the woods after the run and I didn't experience any sever of bond, which means she's alright but we need to find her. It's getting late, so we are going to divide ourselves into groups and search for her, following the path she took to where her scent is stronger. Mike and Noah, you will go through the western border. The warriors I expect you to head north. Mum, I want you to stay behind with Mina's mother,Gina and Amya. " “... but I want to go". Amya pouted, blinking her eyes. “....we can't risk you getting hurt, you are staying behind with the rest of the women,no excuse". Alex dismissed Amya's comments. “I will go alone through the woods to where my wolf will lead me to." Alex explained. “Son, I want to go with you, it's my daughter we are talking about here". Beta Nick pleaded. Alex remained silent for a while and nodded. “Dad, can you stay with the girls while we go on a thorough search for her". Alex asked worriedly. “You have my word son". Alpha Damien spoke.



“Her scent is lingering around the stream". Mike spoke, gaining Alex's attention. “It's true but how can it just end here? I'm not sure she drowned because she could swim". Beta Nick suggested. “Alpha, we found no signs of the Luna", the warriors spoke. “It clearly means she was abducted right on our land. How was that possible? Who was on duty patrolling today". Alex shouted, clearly losing his sanity with the absence of his mate. ‘Who even dared to enter his territory without him knowing about it'. Alex thought. “Any news so far". Luna Ayla asked as the guys stepped into the house. “She was abducted right under our nostrils. Noah found this syringe lying on the floor. I think it has something to do with it. Contact the doctor in the pack house to come right away. I want to know what was in the syringe". Alex ordered Mike, who scurried away smiling.



A few minutes later, the doctor came in a hurry. “Alpha, you sent for me", the young doctor spoke, bowing in fear. News had soon spread about the abduction of the new luna. “Where's Dr Morris and why are you here?". Alex asked, glancing at the young doctor who cowered in fear. “Stop scaring the man, son". Luna Ayla interrupted. “Where's Dr Morris?". Luna Ayla asked, gently flashing the young doctor a smile. “He's attending to someone in labour so he sent me". The young doctor replied, looking down. “Well, that's fine. Alex, can you hand over the device to him". Luna Ayla pleaded. Alex handed the syringe into the doctor's shaking hands. “Find out what was inside". Alex barked out orders.



“It's induced with sleeping tablets. It will make her sleep for some hours", the young doctor explained. Everyone gasped in shock.



Mina flared her eyes open, taking in the current location. ‘What happened', she groaned, trying to move, but winced in pain when she realized she was chained to a chair. The events that happened earlier dawned on him and she blamed herself for putting them in this situation. “I'm sorry I let you down Venus". Mina apologized. ‘Don't worry girl, I don't blame you. I believe Kairo will search for us till he finds us', Venus explained with determination. “You are awake",a familiar voice spoke behind her, startling her. “Glenn",Mina exclaimed in shock. “Did you come here to rescue me? How did you find me?" Mina asked the questions in a row. “She's also dumb". Anastasia sneered, coming into view. Mina gasped in shock. “What are you doing here and why am I chained to a chair". Mina asked, confused. “Your friend right here...", Anastasia spoke, pointing towards Glenn. “... helped me with your abduction". Anastasia sneered and burst into laughter. Mina was shocked to the core. ‘How on earth did she offend Glenn and why did Anastasia find her? She was so weak for a luna'. Her eyes filled with unshed tears. There was no way she would cry in front of these losers. She was stronger than they could ever imagine.
