“Who do you think can kidnap her because right now I just don't know who to think of. "Beta Noah replied, flipping through the gathered investigations on the table. His mate was nearing her due date, but now the most important thing was to find the missing Luna. Everyone was stressed, but who could dare to face the wrath of the Alpha? His eyes were fixed on the table and he looked at the Alpha from the corner of his eye. “Why don't we drop this? We have racked our brains but there's nothing we are getting from this. I think it would be better to single out the suspects, which will narrow down the investigation to the culprit". Gamma Mike suggested looking at the alpha for an answer. “Who do you think is the suspect?". Alpha Alex spoke, taking their points into consideration. He had been feeling the slight pains of his mate through the bond but they couldn't talk through the link due to the distance.







“I think I have an idea who it might be",Amya spoke, stepping into the office unannounced. Noah stared at his mate in shock, who had just interrupted their investigations. Amya smiled when she noticed her mate staring at her and nodded, sending a link that she had got this in control and she knew exactly what she was doing. She walked towards the empty seat in the office rubbing her big belly. “I suggest we look track down Anastasia. She's the only suspect. You know her dad, Alpha Declan, was made rogue after violating the rules once dad exposed him, so I'm sure she's back to take revenge. No one had seen her since her dad was demoted from the position. "Amya explained, looking down at playing with her fingers, something she does when she's nervous. “You have a point there,why haven't I thought about it". Alpha Alex interrupted, smiling at her sister. “Well, since you left me out of your investigation. I knew this could be of help". Amya muttered under her breath. “Mike order some men to look into the exact location of Anastasia and send the information to me as soon as possible". Alpha Alex ordered, dismissing them. “Noah, can you wait behind? I want to talk to you in private". Alpha Alex spoke. Noah kissed his mate on the forehead. “What is wrong, Alex? Why did you tell me to wait behind". Noah asked, perplexed by Alpha's request. “I don't think it's only the work of Anastasia. I'm sure someone has a hand in this. Could you find out who exactly helped her without us knowing?" “At your service". Noah respectfully nodded and scurried away. Alex chuckled at his actions.







“I had this information yesterday that Anastasia had been spotted in a remote area about three towns away from this place. But what piques my interest is these pictures..."Mike spoke, pointing towards the pictures displayed on the computer. The Alpha observed the picture and noticed something behind her which had escaped the eyes of the beta and gamma. “Can you zoom in". Alex pointed towards the exact location. “Fuck, this asshole is inclusive". Alex spoke through gritted teeth when he realized it was Glenn. “How do you know him?". Noah asked, confused. “Some dude we met in a bar while on a business trip. I must have known he had a thing for my mate. He is so dead when I get hold of him". Alex spoke burning with fury. “I know this location, it's an abandoned factory, I could take you guys there",Zander spoke, interrupting the conversation of the ranked males in the living room. “Sorry for coming in unannounced but I heard from my daughter Mira about the disappearance of the Luna. She is her role model and I can't sit there if I know something that could be of help". Zander explained in a hurry, looking down, not daring to look at the Alpha whose gaze was boring holes through him. “Are you sure about this?". Alex asked warningly. “I'm sure alpha". Zander spoke, staring at the Alpha. “Right Mike, prepare the vehicles,we have a Luna to rescue". Alex ordered and walked out of the pack house followed by his beta and gamma, who boarded the prepared vehicles parked in front of the pack house.







“How long is the place from here?". Noah asked confused. They've been driving for hours nonstop but there were no buildings around. “Stop here, that's the building,we need to stop and park the car here. The building is right on this route". Zander said, pointing his hands towards a building. The ranked males got down with Zander leading the way. “You better not make a fool out of us else you will regret this". Alpha Alex warned.







‘Mate is coming for us. I can sense him'. Venus spoke all of a sudden. “Are you sure about this? I don't want to get my hopes up". Mina broke her train of thoughts when she was drenched with cold water. That had been the routine for the last few days. Glenn had tried to talk to her several times but he acted like a coward when Anastasia was around. Mina winced from the coldness. “What were you thinking? No one is going to rescue you. This is very far and Alex is not going to find out ever". Anastasia spoke laughing at Mina's reaction. She got the effect she wanted.







‘Mate hurry,mate is near'. Kairo paced in Alex's head. The faint smell of Mina wafted into his nostrils and he rushed upstairs following the scent and halted in front of a closed door. The other males rushed after him. Without warning, he barged into the door growling with fury. Anastasia gasped in shock. How the hell did he find them here? If she went down, she would drag Mina along. She removed the gun from her pocket, aiming it at Mina's head. “If you take any step closer, I will kill her". Anastasia warned him to take steps back, dragging Mina, who was still chained to the chair. Alex growled in fury, noticing his mate's pale skin color. She had lost weight. They must have starved her while she was kept captive. He grabbed hold of Glenn by the neck, who was pleading for his life. He tore his head from his body within seconds and tossed it away, marching forward towards Anastasia, who feared for her life. “I'm warning you,if you come closer, I am going to shoot and you will be left with no mate by your side". Anastasia warned. With a ping sound, the gun fell from her hands on to the floor. Alex looked behind and found Noah smiling. All this while, he had been aiming at the gun and picked a stone from the floor gauging for the right angle and it hit the right spot. Alex scurried hurriedly and grabbed hold of her neck, squeezing it until she blacked out. He tossed her body somewhere. He hurried over to his mate and removed the chains bound to her ankle and wrists. Thank the goddess,it was made of copper instead of silver but there were red marks along her skin.



“Alex, you came for me". Mina whispered before she blacked out, falling into his arms. “Stay with me Mina. Don't you dare leave me behind". Alex spoke, clutching his mate to his chest.

“Order for the pack doctor's presence immediately, Noah, and have him meet me in the room". Alex roared, hurrying into his room with his mate.
