Last school days

It'd been some few weeks since Alex had been sworn in as the new Alpha. He's been ruling the pack with diligence and everything seems to go on well. There's not been a recorded case of a rouge attack but the pack still lacked something, which was Luna to rule alongside their Alpha. Alex wasn't going to let anyone force him to choose a mate. He would only accept his mate. Within the last few weeks, there's been constant pestering from the elders about him choosing a mate. He knew what they were after,a position in the pack, since it's now the best pack in the country. The majority of the elders brought their granddaughters and daughters up whenever there was a meeting just to win favor of him, but he kept on refusing all of them. He knew that women like this are in for power and he couldn't imagine himself settling with a woman against his choice. Kairo won't even allow it. That lady will not survive a day with him. He will wait even if it takes forever to get to know his mate, but now he must devise a plan. The elders have given him an ultimatum of one more month. If he doesn't produce his mate,they will select one for him.







Knock knock. Someone knocked at the office of the Alpha, snapping Alex out of his thoughts. “Come in”. Alex spoke loudly to make the person at the other end hear. The door opened with Noah and Mike with smirks on their faces. “What's been keeping you indoors today? ” Noah said. “Clearly, you have to go out for fresh air. Enough of the pack duties. We can handle it". Mike added. “I'm not in for jokes today. As you can see, I'm very busy dealing with pertaining matters. If you don't have anything important to say, you can leave. The door is right ahead of you". Alex spoke, returning to the papers on his desk, ignoring the presence of his beta and gamma. “There's no need to be so serious,we can be of help”. Mike interrupted.







Alex looked up and glared at him. Absolutely there's no way the guys will let this slide. He needs to get it over with as soon as possible. “So what's the problem now?”. Noah spoke while taking a seat on the chair opposite Alex. “I need to devise a plan before these elder psychopaths have their way with me. I can't afford to take a chosen mate over my fated mate, neither can I let them strip me of my Alpha position. ” Alpha Alex explained. “I know you wouldn't like this idea, but I think you need to inform your dad about what's going on once he left. He might be of help since it took him a while to find his mate, which is your mom”. Mike explained. “My dad explained how your dad waited for long before he saw your mom and she was a human”. Mike added.





“I hate to say this, but you are right Mike. Never thought about that. Actually, I didn't want him to feel I couldn't handle the responsibilities". Alpha Alex explained. “Your dad will be willing to help or maybe come up with a better explanation than us”. Noah added. “Guess I have a call to make. Thanks guys". Alex reckoned, “We got your back buddy”. The guys smirked while walking out of the office. Alpha Alex phoned his dad right after the guys left.



Alpha Damien picked at the first ring. “To what do I owe this pleasant surprise, son? You have never called me since I left for vacation with your mom". Alpha Damien spoke, his voice was evidently laced with sarcasm. “Dad sorry to bother you on your vacation but I need your help”. Alex spoke in a hurry. Alex explained all the encounters that had happened while Alpha Damien had left the country. “Those son of bitches”. Alpha Damien cursed under his breath. “Well, I will contact the head of the werewolf council. This will be resolved no sooner". Alpha Damien explained. “Thanks dad”, Alex sighed.







“Gotta go, your mom will have my head if I'm late for the date. Bye son". Alpha Damien spoke, ending the call. Alex released the breath he didn't know he was holding all this time around.
