Happily Ever After?

Elena's POV

As soon as we got to his study, he sat down and brought out a ring from his drawer. He looked surprisingly nervous as he got down on one knee in front of me. I couldn't believe what was happening and why he was going through all these processes when he knew that I would marry him in a heartbeat.

"Elena Hanson, will you do me the honors of being my bride and my Luna?" He asked me and I nearly passed out.

"You know I would Wesley. Why did you even have to ask?" I said to him and he put the purple stoned ring on my ring finger.

"Because while you are not sure I am your mate yet, which I am sure you are, I want to do things the right way. So I know that I am marrying a willing woman." He said and I laughed, pulling him up before enveloping his mouth in a hot, wet kiss.

He seemed shocked by that move and I was too because I never expected that he would go through the process of proposing to me the way that he had just done.

"Thank you so much Wesley and I can't wait to do the rest of my life with you," I said and he chuckled.

"Well, we better start now or my mom will be forced to wed us herself." He said and I went sad again.

"I feel so sad about the Grand Luna, I know it is not what she wants but I can't help the way I feel. I am not ready to lose her yet Wesley." I said and he squeezed my hands.

"She is tougher than you think and might even make a full recovery in a few weeks. Put your mind at rest so we can begin the wedding preparations. When do you want us to have the wedding?" He asked me and I didn't even know what to say.

"I don't know, how soon do you think we can?" I asked him.

"Next week. We will have a ceremony in the palace and have the priest join us together. We can throw a wedding reception later when we feel up to it." He said and I nodded my head in agreement.

"That is fine with me. Is it okay if I send out an invite to my parents back at Omnidom?" I asked him.

"Yes. That would be great, but are you sure you are ready to face them again after all that they have put you through?" He asked me and I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Still, I want them to be present at my wedding. They are my family and I won't deny them their rights. It is left to them to decide if they want to be here for me or not." I said and he nodded his head in agreement.

"That is wise of you. I will have the invites sent out immediately." He said and then brought out a gold card from his pocket.

"I had this made for you. It is unlimited so you don't have to worry about paying for anything again. You can use it to cover all the bills that your dress and all would cost." He said and I sat down, shocked to my bones.

"You are not serious?" I asked him, refusing to believe that he was handing over so much money to me.

"Why?" He asked, looking quite surprised at my response.

"Unlimited card? I've only seen that once and that was when we had some really powerful Alphas back in Omnidom. I saw it when I was put in charge of cleaning their rooms." I said and he opened my palm and placed the card inside.

"Well, you have your card now." He said with a warm smile on his face.

"How did I get so lucky? I thought the moon goddess had placed a curse of bad luck on me when I was born but meeting you has taught me that she was only preparing me to meet you." I said and my eyes reddened with tears.

"Oh come on, don't be too grateful. I'll have to give you more cards if you do." He said and I chuckled.

"Thank you, Wesley," I said, my heart bursting with joy.

"The ring is the family's heirloom and will be recognized anywhere you go. Make sure you keep it safe. I got it from my mother the first week we arrived here and have been waiting for the perfect time to give it to you." He said and I nearly cried.

"This was a good time, the best time even. I'm afraid that I will never stop thanking you if you continue this way." I said and he hugged me.

"One more thing Elena." He said and I looked at him, waiting for him to speak.

"As my mate and the Luna of this pack, I will need to mark you. Now I know that as an ace wolf, it will take a longer time for you to transform but that has nothing to do with the marking as long as it is confirmed that you do have a wolf. I won't pressure you but, I need to mark you before the priest joins us together. The ritual is a harrowing process." He explained and I smiled at him.

"You can mark me anytime you want. I know about the process of becoming the Luna. Thought that you would never ask." I said and he smiled at me.

"Are you ready now? It's going to hurt a lot." He said, making sure that I was okay with it.

"Yes. I know. I am ready." I said and he locked the door behind him.

I stood up expecting him to do it immediately but he led me to the sofa and helped me lie down. He transformed into his wolf and I closed my eyes as I felt his teeth dig into my neck.

The pain was so much that I passed out.
