A Beauty To Behold
Elena's POV
It was the morning of the wedding and I stood in front of the mirror looking at a totally different person. Ashley had outdone herself and she had even shed a tear or two while helping me dress up for the wedding.
"You look glorious," she said in wonder and my mom came in as was the custom for the bride on her wedding day, to first be seen by her birth mother.
"I don't think this color suits her. It makes her already dull skin look flat." My mom said and Ashley glared at her. I had to signal her with my eyes not to say anything because even a blind person could see how brightly I shone.
It was what I was expecting from her as throughout the whole week, I tried my best to avoid her. I texted Aliyah that our parents were around but she did not reply nor did she acknowledge my texts. I figured she was still angry about the Wesley issue even though it was not my fault.
"The color suits me and I like it." I declared and stepped off the fitting podium, twirling one last time to the cheers of Ashley.
"Alpha Wesley will trip over his tongue when he sees you. You look so beautiful my Luna. No one has ever looked more perfect." She added and we both laughed.
"Let's get going. I don't want to keep my handsome groom waiting." I said and once we stepped out, the cameras did not stop flashing until I was downstairs.
The priest was already waiting and I caught a quick look at Wesley's back before he turned and took my breath away. He was wearing a black suit that had the same floral patterns as my crystal white dress. It was the last thing I was expecting but seeing him that way boosted my confidence as my father took my hands stiffly and nearly dragged me down the aisle.
I was embarrassed as everyone could see that he was walking faster than I could keep up and one time, I nearly tripped over the hem of my dress. The only bridesmaid I had was Ashley and she couldn't interrupt the ritual of my father walking me down the aisle to get married.
Wesley's face immediately changed and he started walking towards me, meeting us halfway and immediately lifting me off the ground in bridal style. The crowd gasped and my father did not look too pleased with what he had done. I didn't care at that moment as I wrapped my hands around Wesley's neck as he matched down the aisle, leaving my father feeling ashamed of himself.
I fought back the tears that were threatening to fall but every time I looked at the face of the man I was getting married to, I knew that I had made the right choice. Suddenly a voice filtered into my mind and I looked around to see who was speaking to me.
"It's me. I've marked you so I can speak to you now." The voice said and I looked at Wesley to see that he was the one talking to me.
"How.." I began but realized that I had spoken out loud.
"What did you say?" The priest asked me and I quickly shook my head.
"Nothing. Please continue." I said and looked at Wesley as his lips spread in a warm smile.
"Just think about what you want to say to me." He said again and I closed my eyes, concentrating on channeling my thoughts so he could hear me.
"You should smile more. It's our wedding day after all." He said and I opened my eyes.
Tightening my grip around his wrist, I felt his hands circling around mine and he pulled me close.
"Don't worry pretty, I will teach you how to mind link with me after the ceremony, but, it doesn't come for free. You will have to pay me in kind." He said to me and my cheeks blushed a bright red that I was sure everyone could see.
"Focus on the ceremony" I whispered fiercely, barely managing to keep a straight face.
"You look gorgeous. No other woman could look as beautiful as you do, my mate. Not in this lifetime nor the next." He said and I wondered if his plan was to make me blush to death in front of all these people present here.
"Luna?" The priest called my attention and I was snatched back to reality.
"Sorry. What did you say?" I said and the priest shook his head gently, smiling warmly at Wesley and me.
"Do you take Alpha Wesley Leone Rossi to be your husband?" He asked again.
"Yes, I do," I answered and the crowd cheered. After everywhere had quieted down, the priest turned his attention to Wesley and asked him the same question, to which he answered in affirmative.
"Yes, I do." He replied and there was even a louder cheer from the audience.
"By the power vested on me by the moon goddess and the royal household of the Leone Rossi, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife." He said and Wesley took me in his arms, kissing me deeply.
"I could eat you up right now. Remind me to double Ashley's pay, she has done an excellent job at making you the most beautiful bride the world has ever seen." Wesley said to me even though his lips never left mine.
Once we were done with that, Wesley stepped back and nudged me forward as I realized that the next phase was to crown me the Luna of the kingdom.
A crown was brought and I knelt on the pillow set in front of me for that sole purpose. The ceremony went by fast after that with the priest asking me to repeat a bunch of vows.
Wesley brought forth his hands and the priest pierced his hand with a needle and proceeded to do the same to me, while he pressed the two bloodied points together, raising it up and declaring.
"I present to you Alpha and Luna of the Red Moon pack"
