A Tricky Situation

Aliyah's POV

I held the piece of paper in my hands and squeezed it. It was the official wedding invitation of Wesley and Elena. She had not even gotten back to me on what I had asked her to ask Wesley and now the next thing I know is their invitation.

"What?" Cecelia gasped, scrunching the already squeezed invite.

"She is such a terrible person. I know she is only doing this to spite me since that had happened back in our pack. Her mate had left her sorry ass for me." I sneered angrily and got up.

"She is so vile. What does she think she will gain from doing this? She is obviously the one throwing herself at him. I doubt if Wesley would want to get married so fast. Everyone knew that he had always loved Anita and would never choose someone like Elena over her. I wonder what she did to convince him, must have been really good to get Wesley." Cecelia added and I scoffed.

"I hate how my sister has become desperate to be with a man just because he is a powerful Alpha. He does not even like her so much, I wonder why she is hellbent on forcing the poor man to do what he does not want." I added.

"You should go to her and see if you can talk some sense into her. I am sure your parents back in Omnidom are not even aware that this is happening. I wonder how they would feel if they heard about this." Cecelia said and I immediately had an idea.

"Cecelia, I would need some time alone to take this news and decide on what next to do," I said and Cecelia quietly stood up to leave. I know that she equally wanted Wesley and that was the reason she was so angry about it.

"I will be coming back later to know what you have decided." She said and I nodded absent-mindedly as she closed my door.

As soon as she left, I immediately called my mom and she picked on the first ring.

"Elena is getting married. Did she inform you all about it?" I asked her as soon as I heard the call connect.

"I was just about to call you. The royal guard from the palace just left here. He brought an invite and I had just gotten to my phone to call you when your call came in. What is happening?" She asked me, her voice sounding worried and concerned.

"She is a freaking betrayer. She didn't even give me the honor of bringing it herself even though we live close to each other here. I wonder what she is beginning to feel like. She is the one forcing the whole marriage thing on Wesley. Everyone here knows. You should call her and tell her that you disapprove Mom. Even the last discussion we had, she did not do anything about it, rather the next thing I get is an invitation to her wedding which is happening in barely a week." I complained bitterly to her, knowing that my mom was definitely going to do something to make me feel better.

"Your father and I will be coming there tomorrow, we are going to disagree with the whole wedding and accuse the Alpha of kidnapping our daughter. Even if that doesn't do anything serious, it would hold the wedding from holding so fast. She must have a lot of nerves sending her dirty little invite to us. I even saw clothes and the rest in the bag. Does she think that we are too broke to buy befitting attire to attend her wedding? I guess she really thinks getting married to Wesley is what puts her above us, but, I am going to show her who has the real power." My mom said, and I could hear the anger in her voice.

"Thank you, mother. Please do all you can, I can't be made to serve under Elena. If you let her marry Wesley, then she would become untouchable and there are no young Alphas left that I can marry to be equal to her." I said and heard my mom spitting in anger.

"That would never happen. Over my dead body that should happen, not on my watch. You don't worry yourself. Find out why she is rushing the wedding and get back to me on that. We should be there by noon tomorrow." She said.

"Alright, mom. Thank you. I know that I can always count on you, extend my greetings to Father." I said and dropped the call, my mind calming down a bit.

Immediately after the call, I picked up my car keys and drove to the palace, confused about whether to act happy or not about the news when I got there. I decided to act happy since she had no idea that I was still on good terms with the rest of our family members.

"Aliyah! I have been waiting to see you." Elena said excitedly as she threw her hands around me happily. I wondered why she was pretending to be happy with me since I knew that we had only sorted out what was wrong with us.

"Elena! I am so happy for you. You should have called me and I will be here to pick up the invite. Why the sudden rush? I thought you both were going to take your time to get to know each other." I asked her, pretending to be concerned for her.

"Yes but some things happened and now we have to hasten it. I love Wesley's sister. I love him so much and I am his mate so I don't see why we should hold on any longer." She said and I forced a smile.

"It's okay. I am happy for you." I said and she smiled at me.

"Do you mind though? I invited our parents. I didn't think it was wise not to have them here" she said and I hugged her again to mask my emotions.
