Chapter 11

"I smell something different about them, Olivia's smell is familiar, I just need to remember but Jupiter..." He frowned slightly and repeated, "Jupiter, you have a mixed smell, I am sure of a particular smell but not the other. "Who are you?" he asked, and the two girls frowned.
"I'm Jupiter" she answered and went silent, she realized that was what all she was in the human world, no origin, no family name and she could never tell someone she grew up with wolves.
" I know you are Jupiter, what else?" The man asked but Adam looked at him.
" Dad?" He called" Just let her be for now"
"No, it's fine" Jupiter gave a weak smile at Adam before looking at the father "I don't know anything about myself".
"Do you want to what I smell?" Jordan asked, and she nodded, then he pointed at Olivia who had been quiet beside her.
"You're a werewolf" he replied, and Olivia gasped as Jupiter blinked her eyes in surprise, Adam and Seth were amazed
"How did you know that?" Olivia frowned
"Because I'm an old man with lots of knowledge. I met your kind but that was really really a long time" He smiled and turned to Jupiter " Yours has a lot of Complications"
"Since you know a lot, why not tell me" Jupiter raised her brows and the man laughed slightly.
"You have got a witch scent but it's mixed with something else that's why Wolves couldn't smell anything, I can't figure out the other scent which is stronger" He explained and immediately she looked at Adam, with an expression that held confusion.
"Is this some sort of joke?" Adam stood up and walked closer to them "I smelled the same when I met you and I wasn't sure"
" How can you smell me, only wolves do that" Jupiter was shaking inwardly by the new revelation which she couldn't accept yet, her whole mind was a mess, she could think straight.
"I'm a wizard, we have existed for a long while but mixed up with the humans during war amongst ourselves" he explained, and Jupiter staggered back, then her eyes moved to Seth who stood there in shock, his face was pale. He was a human who was in the midst of supernatural creature, his body was shaking violently.
"Adam?" He called almost in a whisper
"I'm sorry man, it's the only way we could cope here", he apologized, "And since the girls could trust you and then me, I thought I should tell you'll my own secrets too"
The whole place became quiet, everyone staring at each other and saying nothing.
"We should leave now", Olivia whispered to Jupiter.
"Why?"she asked looking at Olivia, "this is the only way I can know who I am"
"We can't trust them", Olivia frowned folding her arms
"I remember you trusted Seth, I trust him too and even Adam, I'll trust Mr. Jordan soon"she answered.
"You can't do this" Olivia shouted
"And yes, I can", Jupiter shouted back, "don't forget I do the orders around here" she said and immediately regretted what she said, and she bit her lower lips.
"You've given me no choice but to call the king" Olivia replied.
"This is my life for goodness sake, they have their lives, they got a perfect family and I'm here with no one at all, searching for my origin, to know who I am, to know my parents. Don't you have sympathy or emotions?" Jupiter shouted in tears, "I want to get over this pains and nightmares".
"You think I don't have emotions? I hide them and deal with the nightmares too. I have a family which I can never associate with, do you know how that feels? I grew up with them, I loved them, but we can never be together because I'm meant to protect the royal family. I want you to be happy, I want you to find your family, but the wolves don't associate with other kinds for a reason, you can't trust anyone. I do trust Seth and I already like him and I trust Adam too, that's why I showed him my wolf. I'm just scared, scared that as you search for them everything would get worse" Olivia narrated.
"What if they don't want me either, maybe that's why I was dumped, I'm a complicated person" she frowned as she dried up the tears and turned to Mr Jordan. "What else do you know?"
"For now, I know your mom is a witch and your dad is something else" he answered.
"How do you know that?" Olivia asked.
"The witch scent is lesser but the other is high and dominating", he answered, "you're a hybrid, the lesser scent is for the female and the dominating is the male".
"So, she has two bloods running in her veins?"he asked, "making the search more complicated".
"The reason you broke that boundary is because you're a witch"Olivia confirmed "I think they are right. Only witches can break boundaries".
"Do you have any image of your mother or any item from her?" Mr Jordan asked and she shook her head negatively.
"What about the nightmares? What exactly do you see?" Adam asked.
"I see a woman at the boundary with a baby, she was covered in blood and she opened the boundary", Jupiter answered.
"That should be your mother, what does she look like?" Mr. Jordan asked immediately,
"Her face was pale, her eyes are green and her hair was silver, she had a black dotted mark on her cheeks, she was in tears and ..."Jupiter shut her eyes trying to remember all she had seen, "she held something in her hands, I don't really know what it is, but it was silver and she dived it into her heart after she dropped me on the floor".
She opened her eyes quietly and everywhere was silent, she looked at Mr. Jordan and he was so quiet, his expression had turned into sadness and his eyes were filled with tears.
"Father?"Adam called and they all watched patiently,
"Her name is Laura, the last witch queen", he said and buried his head in his hands and Jupiter hurried beside him.
"You know my mother?"she asked "you've met her?"
The man nodded and looked at Jupiter's face and tears slipped out of his face.
"Why didn't I notice you earlier? Why didn't I see the striking resemblance? I thought I lost her forever, she's alive",
"She is?" Olivia asked,
"Tell me where she is" Jupiter begged,
"We can't find her now. She's in the air around us, she vanished from existence using that silver blade you saw and only her next of kin can bring her back" he explained.
"How would I do that?",
"Go back to your dream", he answered,
"How did you know her?" Olivia asked,
"How wouldn't I know my Queen? She was my best friend, my first love. Not until she was forced to marry that man", he said and immediately his eyes popped out, "I know what you are now, I know" he shouted,
"Who am I?" She's shouted in frustration as everyone around her was eager to hear,
"You're a hybrid, a mixture of a witch and vampire blood. Your father is a vampire" he answered and they all gasp at another unexplainable revelation.
"How?" Jupiter staggered backward trying to understand everything she was hearing today, suddenly she wasn't just human but a witch but now a witch and vampire.
"She was my childhood friend and we were supposed to get married when she became the queen but your father came by, promising your grandfather to bring peace, better the lives of witches and the vampires and he bribed your grandfather who agreed immediately and he pushed Laura to marry him, Laura would do anything for the safety of her kind because she loved them. Your father just wanted a child, you were going to be his first hybrid child and you know what was so unique? A child from the vampire king and the witch queen. You are so powerful than you ever know and when you were born he came to take you away, it resulted to a fight. She fled to that boundary, kept you at the other side for the werewolves and vanished from existence. I thought he killed her and got you, I have always lived in regret"he narrated to the quiet and speechless teenagers.
"I need to go home", Jupiter cried and walked out of the house and Olivia joined her.
"Jupiter?"she heard her name, as it echoed into her nightmares. She fought to wake up and escape the nightmare. She was pushed violently as she fought the force that held her, she was breathing heavily, and tears streaked down her face.
"Jupiter wake up!" Olivia shouted, and she shook her, her face was pale, and fear gripped Olivia, she was confused about what was happening.
Jupiter could hear Olivia calling out her name, but she couldn't respond, the force held her tightly and the only way she could wake was to defeat the force that held her back, then she focused on her dream world.
She stared at the dark image of a man, he has red eyes and his canines were long, it was moving through the darkness in form of a shadow with an immeasurable speed, it laughed loudly, and the laughter was deafening.
"Why do you come to my dreams?" She asked not knowing if it heard what she said, because it was moving round her with great speed and still laughing, Jupiter got upset and shouted. "Stop!"
And suddenly it stopped at the sound of Jupiter's authoritative and dominating voice, it stood in front of her and she could see him clearly, it held the wicked smile on it's face.
"I'm asking why you hunt me every night, why you come to my dreams, why you hurt me and give me a restless night" she said still keeping her authoritative and commanding voice but it was silent and she frowned giving it more time, but just then it walked closer to her, she stood still trying to be strong and push away the fear.
"Because you have my blood in you and I want you", its voice was slow and calm, but she found it very noisy, she could still hear what it was saying.
"We share no blood" she argued.
"You have my blood, little one", it whispered.
"And who are you?"she asked but it moved around again laughing,
"I'm your nightmare, I'm your worst nightmare"it laughed and continued spinning round her faster than the first time and it expected her to scream as usual in fear but instead she joined him to laugh and it stopped in confusion.
"You can't claim me, you dark creature, I'm not afraid of you", she shouted courageously,
"You belong to meet, and I must have you to myself, you weakling" it mocked,
"Then you have to fight this weakling, if you win then you can have me to yourself" she smiled, and it laughed harder,
"Don't dare me child, you don't know what I can do to you",
"You don't know me either, I am stronger than you ever know. I have a strong blood flowing in my veins" she laughed,
"I own that blood" he shouted and suddenly it attacked her, sending a thick dark fog around her, the fog got tighter as the creature control it, she was struggling with her physical strength but to no avail, she shut her eyes ,then she realized she knew nothing about her powers, she didn't know where to begin from.
"Help!" She shouted as the fog tighten more around her body, she was suffocating and losing consciousness and only one thing came into her mind, the image of her mother, the words Mr. Jordan said echoed through her head.
"She's in the air, around us, "those words echoed repeatedly.
"Mother"she whispered as she heard the dark creature laugh, "where are you?"
