chapter 44

The bright light created by the large portal blinded the eyes of the armies that were arranged in different rows and columns. They stood still not minding it's effect, their faces held no emotions we they were ready for battle ahead of them. King Desmond and Mars stood in front of the armies of wolves, they matched into the portal, leading them to battle. Kenny, Bernard and Seth took position in the front row of the well transparent coated vampires which Queen Laura, Adam and Jordan had created to prevent the sun from burning through when it comes up.
Queen Laura, Jordan and Adam stood beside the portal, expanding and making it larger for the armies to pass through. Then the ladies followed suit. Queen Irine, Venus, Mercury, Olivia and Dinah walked into the portal with Dawn beside.
Finally, the witch and wizards closed the portal and turned to face the others who were staring at the new environment.
"It's possible they have no idea that we are here." Dawn said with a scary voice.
"This is what happens now." Kenny turned to the vampires. "You move inside and attack them, then take the battle outside, keep it going till the sun is out and kill them."
"Mercury would mind link Jupiter and trace her." Queen Irine said and Mercury nodded.
"I would stay on standby while Jordan and Adam handle the witch and wizard that guard him." Queen Laura explained. "I don't want him to know I'm alive."
"And the two wolves?" Olivia questioned. "The wolves that work for him."
"We would leave them to you and your brother, including Mars and Venus." Queen Laura smiled.
"While the Alpha and I, his Luna would face and vampire Lord before you take over." Queen Irine said.
"And me?" Dinah questioned with a frown as they seem to have forgotten her.
"You could join Mercury to find jupiter and Selina." Mars beamed at her and she nodded without hesitation.
"Let's head to war." King Desmond announced and they immediately match into the mansion, invading the place. The vampires worked effectively and they crept in through the shadows and slit the guards neck. On the other side was the wolf, they had transformed as Dawn wolf howled loudly, echoing through the mansion and alerting all their enemies. Olivia cursed inwardly at Dawn's mistake, their enemies were scrabbling around and now the real battle had began.
Mercury tried to connect with jupiter but it seemed so hard, Dinah watched her as she shut her eyes, trying to concentrate.
"Jupiter." She whispered simultaneously, her brows squeezed together in frustration, then she crossed her arms on her chest, not giving up but still trying to connect to her sister.
Jupiter jerk up from the ground as she could hear her name ringing in her head but tag wasn't her voice. It was Mercury.
"Mercury?" She mindlinked and she could hear Mercury sigh in relieve. Jupiter realized she woke up late, that's probably because she slept late.
"We are here already,can you remember the way to the room you are?" Mercury asked eagerly.
"Sure!" Jupiter said hurriedly and quickly hardly on the sleeping Selina. "Wake up, let's direct Mercury here."
Selina yawn sluggishly and sat erect, glancing back at jupiter who had already shut her eyes like she was mindlinking.
"You'll have to use the palace which the vampire Lord stays but I think there should be another way to this room." Jupiter said and turned back to Selina. "Give me another route to this place."
Mars led his companion into the palace, the throne was empty but two people stood beside the empty throne.
"They smell like wolves." Venus said to the others.
"They smell like you." Dawn pointed to Olivia and she smiled quickly at his frowning face.
"That's because I'm wolf too." She answered.
"I know exactly what I'm saying." Dawn argued but ignored it since Olivia wasn't ready to buy it.
"They are coming forward." Mars alarmed. "Dawn step backward, so you don't get hurt."
The little boy obeyed with a nod and moved backward in fear, he wasn't scared of the two werewolves that were getting closer, he was scared that people would get hurt.
Jordan and Adam searched around for any sign of the witch and wizard they were assigned to, they found only vampires which Seth, Kenny and the other vampires were slowly slitting their throat and taking the life out of them. They could see their wolf companions facing their opponent at the throne. They walked past them and headed down the lane that led them through a corridor.
"I smell their presence, they must be inside here." Jordan said to his son and almost immediately two people jumped down from above them and balancee on the floor. They both rose slolwy and Jordan noticed it was a man and woman, dressed in black good from top to their feet, they wore a mask and Jordan wondered why they felt so familiar.
"It's them." Adam said immediately and began to summon a spell, his father joined him as the both parties moved in circles, their oppenent brought out a sword from behind them and then summoned flames of fire around it. Jordan and Adam didn't hesitate to create an ice sword and charged towards them.
Seth and Bernard began fighting the vampires that came after them, Kenny looked around and quickly tap them.
"Hey guys, we have been surrounded." Kenny said to the others and they looked around them. They hadn't noticed earlier, Seth pushed down the vampire that was struggling in his arms after bitting off his neck.
"They are so many, how many could they be?" Bernard questioned without fear.
"Not more than fifty but beyond forty." Kenny replied and his eyes scanned around like he was counting.
"Not so much, they can't match our speed." Seth smiled sheepishly and Bernard scoff at him.
"Forgotten I'm not a day walker as you? And I can't match your speed either but they can match mine. I'm mostly at risk here." Bernard explained and Seth gasped in realization and gave him an apologetic look.
"Don't give me that face. I am a leader, I've trained for so long." Bernard laughed at Seth.
"Aren't you guys supposed to think like I'm doing right now?" Kenny questioned with a frown. "Stop babbling and let's get to work."
Immediately he said those words, he ran speedily into the midst of their opponent vampire then Seth and Bernard joined him.
"King Desmond and his Luna trailed the vampire king, following his scent and it led them to a room, the door was open but the room was dark with eerie silence, they glared at each other before stepping in, using their wolf sight, they could see clearly and their eyes met him, sitting on a sofa that was some meters away.
He laughed slightly and rose to his feet, walking closer to them but then he vanished and they felt his presence behind them. When they turned, they found him behind them as he continued laughing. Queen Irine howled angrily at his game. He was going to use his speed to confuse them.
"We shouldn't wait any longer." The Luna mindlinked her husband.
"We must be smart and watch his steps." King Desmond answered and immediately he jumped with his fangs and fingers towards the vampire but he landed on nothing as the vampire had speed off from that spot, the Alpha groan in anger.
"Let's put him in our center." Queen Irine sent another word through her mind and the wolf king obeyed as he began to move slowly in circles, the vampire joined him with a smirk on his face, having no idea of what the Alpha was up to but finally he had gotten to the right spot the wolf king and queen needed him to be. He looked behind him and the Luna's angry wolf was howling and in front of him was the Alpha's wolf. His expression changed, the smirk on his face had slowly disappeared as he realized the position he was standing.
"Assholes!" He cursed as he search around for a way to escape.
The wolves jumped on him simultaneously and he knocked the male off but the female slam her teeths on his shoulder and her nails ran through his face, he groan in pain as the male wolf got to his feet and went for the legs. The vampire king swung the Luna but she still had her grip tightly on him. He tried to release his feet from the Alpha but it wasn't working either.
He began to spin, with the wolves on him, he continued faster and faster in a speed they couldn't stand and it worked. The wolves were flown away, their head colliding with the wall and they whimper in pains, trying to rise up. The vampire head for the door and shut it behind them as they transformed back to his human, he ran off with only one person in mind, jupiter.
"We've gotten to the third floor." Mercury announced to jupiter through her mind.
"Good, Selina says you should move left." Jupiter answered as Mercury signalled Dinah and they headed for their left.
"Oops, we've got companies." Dinah said as they saw some wolves ahead of them.
"I'll get back to you jupiter, we've got companies here." Mercury said immediately as she readied herself for any attack.
The wolves shifted and ran forward, Dinah watched Mercury shift into a bigger wolf whole she had nothing except her physical strength, she looked around searching for at least a drop of water but found none. The wolves were getting closer and Mercury ran towards them, her body collided with the brown wolf whole the black fur wolf headed for Dinah. As it leaped at her she took up her long feet and slammed to it's face, it groan and whpered then struggled up and attacked again. She duck it's fingers that was heading for her face, she raised her knee forcefully and it came in contact with it's stomach, moving her fist simultaneously and it came in contact with the wolves teeth. The wolf fell to the floor and Dinah shook her hands, trying to ease the pain she felt. She watched Mercury slam her teeth in the neck of the other wolf and pulled out the flesh and it became limp. Dinah turned right in time to see the other wolf standing up, it roared angrily and jumped towards her, she raised her leg forcefully to kick but Mercury pushed it down, her sharp fingers pierced it's skin as blood splattered around the it went silent. Dinah and Mercury glanced at each other with a smile.
"I'll be needing a rubber of water." Dinah mentioned.
"I thought so too." Mercury smiled. "We would see to that."
They walked down the road and Mercury mindlinked jupiter again.
Mars and his company watch the two wolves jump and Sprint, showing different styles and position like they had gone through kunfu classes
Olivia blinked simultaneously and smirked, this was one of the things every royal guard would learn, she could only wonder where they had their classes. She stepped forward and repeated the same thing they had shown earlier, trying to pass s message that She wasn't as weak or dumb as they thought but they weren't moved. The two opponent wolf ran towards them while Olivia attack the girl, Venus and Mars handled the male wolf.
They all changed to their wolf form and their body collided with eachother, groaning and roaring simultaneously Venus and Mars quickly pin the male wolf to the ground but he struggled upwards without delay and with ease. He looked smart and sharp but the two siblings didn't back down
Venus didn't hesitate to jump at him again, heading for his neck, it was the only way to pin him down, he duck and moved backwards. His back collided with his partner who Olivia was tearing with her sharp nails, the wolf was already bleeding ajdbthe male wolf roared loudly in anger as the female wolf fell to the ground and shifted back to her human body.
They all noticed her clothes was still intact after the shifting and the male wolf turned round her protectively and they noticed she was sobbing. Mars, Venus and Olivia moved backwards and the sounds of bones was heard as they shifted to human. Olivia had fought her with no mercy and her wolf was obviously bigger than her opponent, they stared confusingly at the crying girl and the angry wolf.
Dawn stepped out of the pillar he was hiding, he walked forward like he was going to the crying girl and Olivia held him back immediately.
"What are you trying to do?" Olivia whispered in confusion and disbelief.
"She won't hurt me, I promise." He pleaded and they frowned, wondering what have him that idea, they were battling with the thoughts that he could easily trust his opponent. Dawn pulled out of his sister's hand before she could register what was going on, it was late and she couldn't stop him. The male wolf howl at Dawn as he came closer, he stopped on his track in fear but then he walked forward boldly and courageously. The big wolf didn't stop him again, he squatted beside the girl who's face was buried to the ground. His palm came in contact with her body and she looked up slowly, her eyes were red and teary.
Dawn changed into his wolf as the male wolf stared at him carefully, then from the golden haired wolf, he transformed to a white wolf, his furs shone brightly and radiated round the girl, she stared at him in disbelief as he shifted back to his human body.
"Can I see your face?" He whispered as she struggled up and pepped at her brother and he nodded. She slowly pulled her hoody, her hair was packed to the back, she pulled out the band and carefully pulled out the mask. Olivia gasped loudly as Mars and Venus widen their eye in surprise. Dawn glanced at the wolfs and back at Olivia.
"Claire?" Olivia called, her voice held disbelief, she knew her sister and brother had become rogues wolves but she never for once thought they would work for the vampire Lord, she looked behind Claire to the male wolf who had shifted back to his human form. "It is you, Matt."
As she said those words, he pulled off the mask there by revealing his true identity but Olivia wasn't surprised anymore. But immediately he pulled Dawn and held his neck tightly.
"What are you doing?" Olivia questioned with a teary voice.
"I don't have a choice." Matt answered without delay and hatred in his eyes.
"They killed our parent and mom was pregnant. Yet you worked for them." Claire said angrily.
"Look at that child you're holding, his name is Dawn and he's five years old. Could you please remind me how many years ago our parent died?" Olivia asked.
"Five years ago and what does that has to do with him." Matt questioned, his expression didn't change.
"That's the baby our mother carried. Look at his hair, the same as our father and Dawn has our parents face." Olivia explained as tears fell off her eyes.
"What do you mean?" Claire asked trying not to accept the realistic fact.
"I mean he's your brother, our brother." Olivia answered and watch them battle with their expression and emotions.
