Chapter 34

"and where had you been too? Did you even care?" she asked angrily and immediately his expression changed to a sad one.
"oh, beautiful daughter. I cared so much about you and I still care, you are my favorite child" he lied through his teeth,
'favorite child or favorite weapon' Jupiter thought inwardly as she decided to play along,
"really? I thought you hated and never wanted me" she cried,
"I've always wanted you right from when you were born, these wolves fed you with fake stories, if your mother was alive she would have told you the truth" he continued, and Jupiter laughed inwardly, if only he knew that her mother was in this same place.
"you never told me any accurate story" she frowned at him
"I will do that when we are at the vampire mansion" he said with a smile,
"I would only go with you when you release them" she answered, and his smiling face changed,
"fine!" he exclaimed angrily and immediately walked to the window and made a sound like he was whistling, and they looked up at him and gave them signal and they all let go of their victims and vanished into the air. Her friends quickly moved and they both knew they were coming up to rescue her.
"let's go" he said and immediately summoned a dark fog that spin round them, they could hear the footsteps running closer as they vanished from the room.
The door was pushed opened immediately and they all stepped in, there was nobody inside except for the dark fog that still surrounded the room.
"did you find the children?" queen Laura asked as she got into the room with Jordan.
"the children are fine but Jupiter Is gone" queen irine answered as everyone became silent and moody. Some leaned by the wall and others squatted while the rest collapsed to the bed.
"it's all my fault" queen Laura cried as tears poured down her face and anger filled her.
"it's not just your fault, it's all our fault. We caused it" king Desmond answered as he buried his face in his palm "we hurt her with our words and she ran away, he used the opportunity to go after her and he got her"
"we were just too foolish and stupid" queen Irine said "we didn't even protect the boundary"
"she would hate us more" Venus frowned "I wonder how she is coping"
"Jupiter is smart; I feel she has a plan" Adam said not even worried as the others,
"I think she knows what she is doing" Kenny added, and mercury nodded,
"she will never willingly work with him" mercury said "she would always find a way to escape"
"would sister Jupiter come back?" dawn asked sorrowfully,
"yes, she will" Olivia gave him a weak and assuring smile.
"let's trust her" Jordan said finally and they all waited patiently,
Jupiter and the vampire king appeared inside a castle and she looked around confusingly, she couldn't trace the route to this place, she just found herself in this old looking castle, it had cobwebs around it and it was obvious it wasn't cared for.
"you would love the inner view" he smiled at her when he noticed she wasn't liking what she saw. She nodded and sent him a smile, he led her from the large old hall and when he pushed the wooden door she found a different place, it was well decorated, but it had no lights in it, there were people on black all around and she shivered slightly as she noticed their death glare. She stopped walking when she noticed he walked towards the throne, she had to show him respect, the vampires bowed at him as he sat on the throne.
"do you like what you see?" he asked, and she nodded with a smile as she continued looking at the hungry looking vampires.
"why do they stare at me this way?" she asked him, trying to understand what was happening
"they have no idea who you are, it's a surprise though, I never thought you'll agree to come with me today" he answered with a smile and got up immediately and then he raised his hands.
"All hail the mighty king lord Logan" they all hailed loudly and took at bow and he smiled proudly.
"dear vampires, I have with me someone very precious who would stand with us to destroy our enemies and take over all the nations" he smiled and signaled Jupiter to come closer "she is my first daughter and the favorite one at that, she is my child from the witch queen and she is powerful than any other creature I know"
The vampires remained quiet like they didn't get what he had said, she looked at their faces curiously as her eyes fell on two people who stood beside the throne, they had a mask on and they were perfectly covered from top to their foot. But it was obvious one was a female and the other was male and she also realized that they weren't vampires, they didn't smell like one. But she knew that smell and she felt angry. How could they have betrayed their kind and work for the vampire? Why would they choose to kill their own kind? But then she also thought, she hadn't seen the witch that worked for the vampire king, she looked around and even more closely and she couldn't find the witch, she moved her eyes back to the vampire king.
"what about the witch you work with?" Jupiter whispered to him,
"they choose to remain hidden for now till they feel you can be trusted" the vampire king answered, and Jupiter realized that it wasn't just a witch she worked with.
"how many are they?" Jupiter asked
"well I got two powerful witch and wizards" he smiled about his achievement and Jupiter nodded with a fake smile and he turned to one of the vampires, it was a girl of her age and he signaled her to come closer. "I need you to prepare the best room for Jupiter"
"don't forget I would always go back; do I really need a room?" Jupiter asked curiously, and he nodded not looking her way
"her name is Selina" he said to Jupiter and turned back to the teenage vampire "take her with you now"
The girl nodded and looked at Jupiter, but Jupiter looked up to the vampire king and he nodded at her to go on. She walked behind the girl as she led her out of the palace, the girl took her through the dark road, leading her to where she had no idea of.
"why did you choose to come?" the girl asked as she kept walking further and Jupiter blinked at her in confusion, wondering why she asked her that.
"why are you asking?" Jupiter questioned back as she couldn't trust the girl
"why would you willingly come to a place where I wish to leave?" Selina asked curiously "because he's your father?"
"I guess you shouldn't be asking me this and if you must know, I have my reasons" Jupiter answered as the girl pushed a door open and led her inside the dark room.
"how would you enjoy staying in the dark when you're not a vampire? How do you manage to do evil with him? Don't you have other families that are better?" Selina said as she couldn't imagine Jupiter coming to stay with evil so willingly.
"what exactly is your point?" Jupiter asked as she noticed the girl had things to say but was not saying it out
"well I can't say my point because I don't trust you" Selina answered,
"and you think I trust you either?" Jupiter answered, and Selina went quiet, staring at the vampire's daughter, she didn't know why she was saying this to her, but she just had to
"so, can I trust you enough? Can you keep secrets?"
"I would do anything that would help me destroy the vampire king" Jupiter answered as she realized the girl was in no way supporting the vampire king, the girl nodded slowly,
"I want to leave here, I wish I could do that" Selina said to Jupiter and Jupiter raised her brows at her
"do you think I can help you?" Jupiter questioned,
"I heard you tell him that you would leave when you want to" she answered,
"and when he finds out, don't you know he would lose his trust for me and would not want me to leave? Now listen, I can't help you with your plan, I am here for mine and I must help my people" Jupiter answered and turned around, looking round the room carefully,
"you are so focused on your people and you forget there are other people that needs saving too" Selina said, and Jupiter turned to her slowly.
"how can I trust you enough? What if you have a different agenda?" Jupiter raised her brows,
"if you can't help me then you fail to be the great person you are supposed to be. I have no agenda, you should be able to read me, I am not lying to you" Selina raised her voice
"I would need your help in return and if you leave her, you would only stay where I keep you" Jupiter frowned slightly, and the girl nodded and bit her lips
"what do you want and where would I be?"
"you would tell me everything you know about him and you would fight along with the wolves. And then you would stay with the wolves. The royal family specifically" Jupiter answered, and she nodded without hesitation.
"fine! I would do just that" she answered, and Jupiter shook her head negatively
"why are you so eager to leave?" Jupiter asked
"because this place sucks, I've been watching the evil going on and I am tired. Please I beg you" Selina begged
"fine, you can leave now" Jupiter said, and the girl bowed before walking out and Jupiter collapsed to the bed, she was already used to dark environment and she could see clearly in it.
She had to do the right thing and she wouldn't stop.
Jupiter yawned loudly and rolled over the bed, she felt weak and different, she opened her eyes slowly and looked up at the celling and then she realized this place was different and strange. She jumped up from the bed and bumped into Selina who stood by the bed. She frowned at the girl who stared at her strangely.
"why are you here?" Jupiter asked out of curiosity
"I was sent by the king to attend to you" Selina answered politely
"and I'm not even awake yet, I don't want attention, I can handle myself" Jupiter answered in frustration
"this was a command by the king, please you should let me do my job" Selina replied
"what exactly is your job? Don't you have something better to do instead of baby-sitting me?" Jupiter asked rhetorically and Selina bowed slightly, hiding her hurt expression from the rude Jupiter
"I am sorry, my princess. I will take my leave now" Selina bowed again and moved out of the open door, Jupiter heaved in relieve. She didn't want anyone around, she just wanted to leave this dark annoying place. And she also wanted to see the witch or wizard working for her father before she leave, but that wasn't going to be something she could achieve today, she had to win their trust.
She moved to the mirror and stared at her face, she rolled her eyes when she noticed she looked pale, she wasn't used to being in a different place and she easily get affected by her environment. She turned and her eyes met a wardrobe, she quickly moved to it and when she opened it, she groaned angrily. Inside the wardrobe were different shades of black dresses and she wondered if this was a normal life of every vampire, to leave in darkness and evil. Did they have to supply just black dresses for her?
She angrily walked out of the door and moved for the throne to find the king, she needed to leave now, she wasn't so comfortable here anymore. When she got to the throne, he sat there and it made her wonder if that was where he had slept, she stopped right in front of him.
"father!" she called angrily with a commanding voice but she cared less, she was however the spoilt daughter of the vampire king
"my princess" he replied with a smile not considering the tone she had used at him "you don't look happy, why the moody face this morning? Didn't you love your room? It could be changed"
She listened to him as he spoke the words and it upset her the more, how could he ask her all those questions in one and how could he think she would love that room.
