Chapter 9

"That was a mistake that won't repeat itself" Mr Fredrick gave an apologetic face, it's the first day and I'll do better next time.
"What's my punishment?" Jupiter whispered enough for them to hear.
"I can't give my princess a punishment" he argued.
"It's the only way to escape more suspicion" Jupiter commanded.
"I can just give you a warning at the assembly" he squeezed his face.
"That's not a punishment" Olivia glared at him "and the boys would be punished too, I can't risk anything"
"What about sweeping the assembly hall for a week" he whispered "a simple punishment, but you can do it for just two days and leave it"
"Nothing harder than that?" Jupiter questioned
"That should be okay" Olivia answered and looked at Jupiter "you can't over stress yourself"
"Yes. Olivia is right, my princess" Mr. Fredrick accepted with a smile.
"Jupiter is my name" she fired the correction and he bowed slightly.
"We would leave for our classes, make the announcement tomorrow morning at the hall" Olivia said before pushing the door open and they walked out, the principal sighed in relief as be relaxed into the chair.
"Seth deserve an apology" Olivia mentioned as they walked to the class.
"I know that, I was totally wrong" she answered not looking at Olivia
"So, when is he getting it?"
"After the assembly, while we stay back to sweep" Jupiter answered
"See you at closing time" Olivia moved into her classroom and Jupiter went on. She found Adam on the desk, she sat beside him, but he was quiet and stared at him, not knowing how to explain to him
"I'm sorry" she whispered and immediately he turned to her Chloe walked forward.
"Look who we've got here" Chloe stood in front of them laughing. The other girls stood behind her, backing her up. "The two chit chatters aren't laughing nor talking no more, so moody. Tell me? What punishment did you earn?".
Jupiter and Adam ignored her like she wasn't there, and she still didn't leave.
"Oh!"Chloe made a puppy face "I guess the punishment really got to them and now they are quiet as they should have ever been. And Adam left me to support this weird new girl, I hope you regret your decisions now" she laughed loud and the girls joined her.
"I don't want to exchange words with dumbass or create a scene because of a fool" Jupiter glared at her with a smirk on her face.
"Go back to your desk Chloe" Adam warned but she ignored the warning.
"Is my boyfriend pushing me away?" She smiled seductively and touched his face, but he brushed it away and she laughed slightly and moved her finger round his lips.
"Chloe, I won't take this easy on you, stop it now!"Adam shouted angrily and she flinch in fear and moved back.
"You've changed drastically" she frowned as her face suddenly turned sad "you were never like this, you don't love me anymore?"
"I thought I loved you, not until I saw this new hidden character and guess what? I don't like you anymore and I don't love you either" he pointed out.
"Why?" She was breathing hard and trying to control her emotions.
"Because you're not the kind of person I want, I don't want a girlfriend that doesn't take me as anything. You mock me publicly, make fun of me in the class and you call that love? Come on, don't be a hypocrite" he laughed.
"Is it because of her?" She pointed at Jupiter.
"She just resumed today, it can't be because of her, it's all because of you".
"You suddenly changed, why are you treating me this way today? Why in front to this girl and the class?" She asked wiping her tears that fell endlessly.
"I'm telling you today because I was taught to be bold and courageous, Jupiter resumed today but she showed me what courageous is and I'm practicing my first lesson already" he laughed and smiled at Jupiter who looked up at him in disbelief, she returned the smile "and why I'm saying it in front of Jupiter and the class? It's because you mock me and make fun of me in front of this Same people, this classmates of ours knew how and when we started our relationship, so they should probably watch it end".
"What did you do to him you this red-haired witch" Chloe pointed at Jupiter in anger.
"OH, you might think I possessed him and sure I did" Jupiter smiled "I chanted a magic spell on him and made him stare at my wonderful eyes and my hair blew backwards slowly as the breeze moved it to it's way" Jupiter demonstrated on Adam who joined her to act the scene and then they begin laughing and ignoring Chloe who was boiling in anger and pain.
"And I was captivated by that wonderful and enchanting eyes and I lost myself, I couldn't see anything else around me except her" Adam continued the play "I wanted to be with her and forget the world exist and yes! I've forgotten about the world, all I see is you and you alone"
"I hate you"Chloe cried slamming her hand on the desk "I hate you two".
"Ouch, it's a pleasure" Jupiter laughed and mocked her as she moved away from their desk, some of the students present held their phone out to capture the moment and Adam got up, holding Jupiter with him. He walked to the front of the class, "Everyone listen "he called out with a smile "officially, I have nothing to do with Chloe, I have this enchanting girl beside me, Jupiter. She's taking Chloe's place as my girlfriend".
Jupiter gasp as her eyes widen in surprise, she obviously wasn't expecting that and then she forced a smile on her face and hug Adam. Adam became surprised, he didn't expect her to react that way. They turned to meet Chloe teary face and the class chanting their name happily.
"Come sit down, babe" he whispered to her ear and she giggled as they headed back to their desk.
"Seth?"Olivia called him again, he had been sitting down staring at nothing and it made her more worried.
"Do you think she would ever trust me?" He spoke finally, and Olivia smiled,
"Of course, she will. She's just too dramatic, I guess by tomorrow everything would go back to normal" Olivia comforted and he nodded with a weak smile.
"I regret having that man as my father" he frowned again.
"It wasn't your fault Seth"Olivia patted him
"So, what about Adam, he'll certainly not going to let this slide"
"We would do well to make him let it go" she answered
"What would you do, Olivia?"
"Ignore his questions, avoid him and feed him with lies"
"That's not going to work. Jupiter can't avoid him"Seth explained and Olivia nodded
"I'm confused" she said and just then Andrea and his friends walked into the class, all bandage on different part of their body, with patches on their nose. They stopped in front of Olivia and Seth.
"I got eyes on you" Andrea pointed at Olivia.
"Go away before I send you back to that clinic. I'll break all your bones this time" Olivia grinned, and Seth laughed
"Shu, go away chickens" Seth laughed demonstrating with his hands as he got an angry glare from Andrea.
"Were you trained?" one of the boys asked and he winked
"You want me to train you?" She asked back and when he didn't reply she smiled and opened her palms. "If you want to train with me, get ready to lose your teeth"
"Wow!"Seth laughed loudly and shook hands with Olivia "you're my crazy girl"
"And you're my ass wiping nigga, you'll wipe their ass and break their bones" Olivia replied laughing and Andrea moved away from the desk angrily.
"You've taught me how to use my hands" Seth smiled.
"You're a good student, before the year ends I'm sure you'll be great" Olivia grinned.
"I love your vibes, my great teacher" he teased, and she grinned.
"You're a perfect student" she said, and they laughed.
The hall was crowdy and noisy, all the students gathered for the morning assembly. The principal stepped forward and got the microphone, the noise died down suddenly.
"Great star students!" he called,
"Greatest of our time". They chorused and Mr Fredrick nodded with a smile and continued." They have been a misunderstanding and argument between the teacher and some students yesterday, it was brought to my office and these students must be penalized and punished".
He paused as he used his eyes to search for Jupiter and Olivia in the crowd, but he couldn't find them.
" Olivia Jude, Jupiter Desmond, Adam the school prefect and Seth the sanitary prefect" He called out "You all should step forward".
And soon they all found their way out of the crowd to the front of the hall, they stood facing the students with no fear, And the principal walked closer to them.
" You are meant to sweep the school hall for a week, all of you" Mr. Fredrick pronounced and the whole crowd roared, Miss Sylvia had a smile on her face." And your punishment starts today. If we get more complain about you all, first Adam and Seth would be released from their prefect ship and Jupiter with Olivia will undergo suspension. Do we understand?
"Yes sir" they answered in unison and Mr Fredrick walked away while the students dispersed leaving the four penalized students.
"We got no time to waste, pick up a broom" Jupiter said as she moved to search for the sweeping tools. The others quietly joined her after glancing at each other, they began sweeping round the hall.
"Yesterday you called me your girlfriend in front of the class" Jupiter whispered with a frown at Adam and he smiled slightly.
" I did that to get Chloe jealous and angry, I didn't know when it slipped off my tongue and I was more surprised when u hugged me in approval"he explained "I'm really sorry Jupiter, I could inform the class it was a joke".
" No way "she shouted " I want to annoy Chloe more and I'm sure you don't want her close, so I'll help. We would make the class believe we have something, but we don't "she smiled
"Really?" Olivia interrupted smiling.
"Forgot you got sharp ears" Jupiter rolled her eyes and Adam laughed.
"So, do you mind telling me what happened in the principal office yesterday, Seth has bluntly refused to tell me" he said, " you know I won't just let it slide".
Jupiter and olivia stared at each other and nodded.
" We are wolves, " They said simultaneously, and Adam kept a straight face, "wolves?" He asked.
"We're wolves" Jupiter bit her lower lips, praying he doesn't go insane as she tried to read his mind. And then swallowed hard, blinking his eyes simultaneously.
" You want me to believe that you are both werewolves?" He asked.
" No, mostly Olivia" Jupiter answered.
"And what are you?"
" I don't know, it's a long explanations" she said as Seth walked closer "what are you'll doing instead of sweeping" He questioned.
"Talking about what you refuse to tell me" he rolled his eyes at Seth "And now they say they are wolves and werewolves. How does that make any Sense"?
"They aren't lying to you. They are werewolves, she's the werewolf's princess". Seth pointed at Jupiter "remember when Mr Fredrick called her princess?"
"Of course, I do, I thought she was some sort of princess of a wonderful kingdom that's exactly what she is Olivia answered.
