Chapter 43

"Is someone going to answer or you boys are going to remain mute?" Queen Laura questioned in anger.
"It was on the day before the rogue vampires came." Kenny answered
"I sensed it earlier. Bernard mentioned it too." Olivia popped in as she slammed her hands on her head, cursing.
"I was wrong, but we didn't want to bother y'all soon." Seth answered, staring at Olivia.
"Why do you think it wasn't important?" Mercury fired as nothing was making sense to her.
"We are sorry." Adam pleaded."we knew you all were going to find out sooner or later but there were other things at hand."
"That was inappropriate and childish." King Desmond said. "We are now a family and we should know about anything that's happening."
The boys nodded with a bow and looked up again. Olivia began to walk away from the others and Seth excused himself and went after her. He grabbed her hands and pulled her closer but she pulled away, glaring at him angrily.
"I am deeply sorry,Olivia." Seth apologised.
"You could keep something that important away from me. Why couldn't you just ask me first?' she said in annoyance.
"Because I thought you'll object it. But I apologise again and again, can you forgive me?"
"I loved you the way you were. And now you're a total different person" she shouted in tears.
"I'm not a different person, I was sick of being the only human, I was weak and vulnerable. I wanted to be like you all, I wanted to be able to protect you and not the other way round." He raised is voice, he pulled her and held her shoulders tightly. "You know that has always been my dream and now I found a way and I accepted without hesitation. What exactly do you want me to do? Go back to my weak and vulnerable human form and become unhappy just to please you?"
Olivia swallowed, her body became weak from his grip, she moved back in fright. She had never seen him this way. He never raised his voice at her but he was doing that now, was that one of the characteristics of being a vampire? She has suddenly become scared of him. She turned around and ran into the castle, leaving him staring at her in confusion and regret.
He walked back to the others and Mercury was still raising her voice at the boys, she was pissed as well.
"She would be okay soon." Venus patted Seth and he shook his head.
"She's scared of me now, she's scared because I'm a different person." He said with a frown.
"I'll talk to her and find a way to clear up your mess" Mercury rolled her eyes and walked away into the castle.
"We need to create a plan." Mars said taking their minds off what had happened as he held Dinah protectively.
"We must attack before they do" Jordan added "we can't allow them bring us down."
"Let's go inside and sort thing out." King desmond said as he led his Luna inside and they followed suit.
"Firstly, we must find Jupiter." King Desmond said as they sat round two long table, eager to get things done. Venus had volunteered to go get the girls and soon the three returned, walking to the seat left. Everyone was ready to go to the point, with seriousness written boldly on their faces.
"I have the knowledge that he has held her captive and hinder her from leaving, he's a confused being and finds it hard to be the protagonist, he's always ready to be the villiam and it suit him perfectly." Queen Laura said.
"Does he any weakness?" Dinah questioned. " No one is all powerful and with the blood flowing through his veins, then he should certainly have vulnerability."
They focused their eyes on the witches the had captured, which stood behind them now but they shook their head negatively, which stated they had no idea. Their eyes moved back to Kenny and Laura who had been with the vampire king longer, they should have an idea.
"I totally have no idea of what could be his weakness but I know of one thing that can kill him." Kenny answered. "Well, it kills every immortal or day walker."
"What could that be ?" Seth asked curiously.
"An oak stake." Kenny and queen Laura replied simultaneously and Kenny continued. "From an oak tree but he burnt every oak tree down."
"That Lunatic." Jordan cursed with a frown. "Then the oak tree theory is invalid."
"Not totally." Kenny added with a slight smile. "He is in possession of an oak stake, well sharpen and ready to Peirce through any immortal."
"And why would he keep something that could kill him?" Olivia asked with a sour voice.
"To kill any other day walker that ever existed or will exist. He feels one could pop out of the blue and he is right. I and Seth are day walkers" Kenny explained.
"Not only that, the oak stake can absorb power from any powerful being, mostly king's and Queens, it save the power of any person posses it." Queen Laura added.
"Then we should find it." Queen Irine stated and added."it's not going to be so easy."
"Is there any other weakness?" Mercury questioned as she wasn't ready to accept the first idea.
"Jupiter. Jupiter's blood" Queen Laura answered and proceed to explain. "Jupiter has a rare blood from two powerful royals and the combination of those two bloods can be deadly, he avoids her blood because it could weaken him."
"Then we would work with the two. If the oak stake doesn't go as planned, then we would find a way to let him taste Jupiter's blood." King Desmond concluded.
"That's true. We have to inform the vampires but it would only leave us to attack at night" Mars said.
"I know what to do about them." Queen Laura smiled widely. "An invisible cloak can work."
"Isn't that going to take time?" Dinah asked.
"I've get Adam and Jordan with me." She smiled at the girl. "Dinah, you need to know this. Avoid water on your skin, you can fight with water, control it but don't let it touch your feets."
"I know about that. I have to be extra careful." Dinah answered as she returned the smile.
"Are we done? I need some rest." Dawn said with his little voice and they all laughed loudly.
"You can go have some rest whole I go to the forest with Adam and Jordan."Queen Laura said.
"And I would speak to my armies of werewolves." King Desmond added.
"I'm coming with you." His Luna cut in, grinning brightly and he nodded, placing a kiss on her lips. Then they began to walk to different direction as king Desmond mindlink his wolves arrive for the meeting while Queen Laura, Adam and Jordan with Seth and Kenny moved to the forest. The others moved into their various to rest and prepare for the battle the next day.
Jupiter walked around the small room a countless time and Selina squatted quietly as she stared at her princess. Then Jupiter position herself, trying to create a portal but nothing was working, she tried the transporting means and till found herself here, she chanted different spell but nothing was changing. She groaned and hit the wall hardly in anger.
"This room has been magically covered by the witches and wizards working with him." Selina repeated again but jupiter wasn't still listening. "You can't cast any other spell, it won't work."
"But we can't remain here, there have to be a way." Jupiter shouted out of frustration and Selina sighed slowly.
"And you can't struggle to no avail." Selina said. "You need to relax and think, maybe you'll get a better idea when you're stable."
"Fine!" Jupiter grunted as she collapsed to the floor, her body pressed to the wall and her hands on her chin like she was in deep thoughts.
"You aren't relaxed. You're just acting Jupiter. Can you inhale and exhale slowly and continuously." Selina said and jupiter sent her a death glare, she blinked simultaneously and buried her face but then she heard Jupiter sigh before breathing in and out.
Jupiter had to listen to Selina, everything she had tried doing to leave this room wasn't working. She had arrived at the palace to meet her father but then she hadn't noticed the mischief and the evil he had planned. He had questioned her about where she left to and she had told him she was at the wolf kingdom, he didn't argue which was a relieve. He had asked why she took Selina and she told him she needed a maid to assist her and he nodded with a smile before leading her into the room. But just then a witch walked to him as he stood at the entrance of the door.
"She wasn't at the kingdom. The Royals has been away from the kingdom and are yet to return." The witch informed him and Jupiter bit her lips, cooking up a suitable lie Incase he asked her again but he didn't. Instead he turned to the witch with an evil smile.
"Take the batch A army to the wolf kingdom and attack them. Take down as many wolf as you can." The vampire king ordered authoritatively and the witch bowed down in obedience and ran off. Jupiter stared at him in confusion, having no idea of what he would do next.
"You shouldn't attack them now. We could do that together." Jupiter tried to find a way to stop him, she couldn't reach out to her family.
"And why shouldn't I attack now?" King Logan smirked.
"Because... We are a team" she shuttered and hurried the last sentence as she glanced at Selina who stood behind her quietly.
"I don't trust you so much. And I don't want you betraying me because you have a human heart." He said with a huge smile on his face.
"Let's go and create a plan, i got a lot of necessary information from them,in the next two weeks at night, they plan to ambush you." She hurriedly spoke to please him and he nodded happily.
"That's why you're my daughter. But stay here till my Batch A returns and I would begin to set my armies in preparation for their ambush in the next two weeks." He grinned.
"You're not planning to keep me here, are you?" Jupiter asked in disbelief but he smirk and moved out, she chanted a spell and tried to speed towards him but he shut the door before she could get there. She was confused, glaring around the room in disbelief.
"This room is magically protected, no ability works inside her and you can't go out." Selina whispered.
"That can't be true." Jupiter said and began chanting other spell and till this time she hadn't been able to leave the room. Now she found herself listening to Selina and trying to follow up the little trick selina had told her, inhaling and exhaling continuously.
Then she had an idea, she turn to Selina with a grin and Selina stated back at her in curiousity.
"I control my mind and I have wolf blood in me. It's not impossible for me to mindlink." She smiled brightly.
"You have wolf blood?" Selina questioned and she nodded.
"Different bags of blood were injected into me when I was younger." She said happily.
"Have you tried it before?"
"Tried what?" Jupiter raised her brows as Selina didn't look excited.
"Mindlinking" Selina answered and Jupiter bit her lips before shaking her head negatively.
"But I could try." Jupiter said, believing in herself.
"What if it doesn't work out?"
"Can you stop doubting everything? I have to give a try first." Jupiter raised her voice "I would start with who is closest to me and that's Mercury."
"Alright. I pray it works." Selina smiled weakly as Jupiter ignored her and shut her eyes, trying so hard to concentrate as she pictured Mercury but then she felt nothing. Her brows folded up, creating a frown, what had she been expecting? She wasn't a wolf and she would never have that ability.
"Why looking defeated?" Selina questioned her as it was obvious to Selina that she was already getting frustrater and ready to give up. "It's your mind, control it."
A little supportive words from Selina made her to focus more, she had to control her mind even if she couldn't control her powers.
"Mercury." She whispered slowly and immediately felt chills running down her spine and she gasped.
"Jupiter?" She heard from the other side and she giggled happily and peeped at Selina who had a bright face. "Jupiter said is that you?"
"Of course. I am so excited, I am able to mind link you." Jupiter grinned and gave Selina a thumbs up.
"How is that possible?" Mercury said as her voice held disbelief.
"Shouldn't we talk about where I am now?" Jupiter frowned at her sister who was more serious about their means of communication instead of her safety.
"We've been expecting you." Mercury said hurriedly. "We were attack by your father's army."
"I'm locked up somewhere in a magical protected room, I can't use my powers." Jupiter complained.
"Don't worry, we would come to your rescue by Dawn" Mercury assured her.
"You're attacking tommorow?" Jupiter question in surprise and she could tell that Mercury was grinning.
"We have no choice, we have made a plan and get ready, we must go back home victoriously." Mercury answered her sister.
"Ride along. Just tell the others that I'm good, give them my reasons for not being able to inform you all about the attack." Jupiter added.
"That's fine sister, be safe for me." Mercury nodded and Jupiter felt chills in her spine again and she understood Mercury had cut of the connection.
She turned to Selina whose eye was wide and ears eager to hear the goodness from Jupiter.
"They are coming for us tommorow, at Dawn" Jupiter said happily and Selina giggled.
"I'm still surprised that the mind linking worked." Selina smiled at her proudly.
"I tried the trick Mercury once told me when we were younger. I just need to mention the persons name with faith." Jupiter explained.
"I'm so excited, if only we could celebrate now." Selina said.
"We can't order for foods." Jupiter laughed. "We would starve till they come to our resources."
"This floor is going to be cold for you" Selina frowned.
"Why worried about me, think of yourself." Jupiter answered.
"I'm used to this already, it's called the hard way." Selina smiled
"You'll be shocked that my adoptive father showed and taught me the hard way." Jupiter smirked
"Why would he do that? Did he maltreat you?" Selina questioned in surprise.
"No, he trained all his children that way. He needed strong sons and daughters. I'm sure he's proud of himself and us." Jupiter explained and Selina smiled before yawning.
"I gotta sleep" she yawned loudly again. "Good night my princess."
Jupiter smiled as she watch Selina sleep off.
