Chapter 35

"firstly, I do not like that room and secondly why would you send Selina to me so early?" Jupiter raised her voice angrily.
"she didn't do her work perfectly? You need a new maid? Don't get too mad, I'm doing to punish her for not pleasing you" lord logan said with a grin and she frowned slightly and then he turned to one of the guards "get Selina to me now"
"I don't want anyone pleasing me, I am upset because of the darkness in that room and for the fact that you sent a baby sitter to me early this morning and finally I am upset because of the dark set of dresses in the wardrobe, I can't cope with that, I have a live of my own" she shouted trying to explain since he was getting everything wrong.
He ignored her but still sent her a smile and then Selina appeared before them with the guard, the vampire king turned to her immediately and Selina's face was already pale, she knew she had offended the king.
"you lazy brat!" he shouted and immediately appeared in front of her before everyone could blink and landed a slap on her face, Selina staggered backward in pains and jupiter's eyes widen, she wasn't expecting things to go this far.
"father?" Jupiter called calmly and he turned to her with a forced smile
"be patient, I'll be done with her soon, she can't just annoy the princess" he answered and turned back to Selina. "did you go to your princess room as I ordered?"
"yes, my lord" Selina answered with a bow and he suddenly held her chin painfully and raised her face towards him.
"and why didn't you do your duty perfectly?" he asked
"she didn't want me in the room, she mentioned she didn't want a baby sitter"
"do you follow my orders or hers?" the vampire king shouted and landed another slap and her face and Jupiter immediately moved in-between them, pushing the king away from the girl who hadn't shade a tear.
"what is wrong with you?" Jupiter shouted at the man and he frowned slightly "do you have emotions? Do you care about other peoples choices? I don't want a baby sitter and I'm fine myself"
"I can't leave you to stress yourself, my precious little daughter" he said sorrowfully
"she follows my orders now and not yours, she is my personal maid" she said with a commanding voice and she knew he won't want to go against her wish, since he wanted her to work with him, he glared at her emotionlessly and she stared back at him.
"fine!" he rolled his eyes and walk back to the royal sit. Jupiter turned to Selina who hadn't moved from her position, she was bowing her head down
"let's go" Jupiter said to the girl and dragged her along with her by the hand and led her to her room.
"she's like her mother" the wizard appeared beside him and they both smiled
"her mother's stubborn spirit" the witch added at the other side
"I would bring her down when I am done with her" the vampire king laughed loudly like a lunatic
"she is a wise child, don't forget she is the replica of her mother" the witch said with a frown
"if I could bring down her mother then she is not different" the king answered and the witch and wizard became quiet.
Jupiter pushed the door open, leading the girl inside and then she shut the door behind them, the girl turned to look at her.
"I knew what he would do when I don't follow his orders" Selina said almost in a whisper and swallowed
"why didn't you tell me earlier?" Jupiter questioned her and Selina bowed slightly "you don't need to bow at me, I am the same as you, speak to me with no fear"
"you are the princess, I should show respect to my princess" Selina answered and looked up at Jupiter
"I am sorry about what I did to you earlier" Jupiter apologized tothe girl and she nodded slowly "and I am sorry about my father, he took it too far than I expected"
"I get the same thing every day I don't get to do the right thing. that was just a slap, he does more than that"
"and I am sorry that it's my fault this time" Jupiter said "I need to know; do you have any idea of the witch or wizard working for the vampire king"
"I don't know who they are. Just like the brother and sisters who are wolves, they hide their faces and they are barely even around" Selina answered and Jupiter nodded slightly
"and the wolves? They are really siblings?" Jupiter asked
"yes my princess" she answered
"you can call me by my name, that would be fine by me" Jupiter corrected as Selina bit her lips and nodded.
Jupiter sat on the bed and sighed inwardly, she thought of her friends and family, wondering how they were faring, maybe it was time to leave.
"would you like to leave here now?" Jupiter asked and the girl looked up at her with a surprise eyes "are you ready?"
"to leave forever? Like leave this vampire mansion?" Selina enquired and Jupiter nodded with a smile and Selina nodded immediately with a happy grin.
"then we should leave now" Jupiter smiled as she saw the happy face of the girl. She had not seen how beautiful Selina could be until now.
"what would the king do if he finds out?" Selina asked with a frown
"I would give him my perfect excuse, but for now he won't find out and if he does ,he won't be able to get to you" Jupiter answered rolling her eyes.
"then we should talk about how we would leave without him finding out. There are guards everywhere and we can't escape them" Selina said in confusion.
"I am the witch princess, nothing is so impossible for me" Jupiter grinned and the girl stared at her and raised her brows. And almost immediately Jupiter shut her eyes and began to pin her hands in a circular form and soon there was light appearing from the same form she had created with her hands and soon the circle enlarged and then the portal appeared, revealing her room at the wolf kingdom.
"where is this?" Selina asked curiously and Jupiter smiled
"that's my room at the wolf kingdom" Jupiter answered
"it's almost the same as this, dark and creepy" Selina replied and Jupiter sent her a sharp glare but then she understood why she said that
"well, I would be redecorating it when I get there, I haven't used that room for a long while" Jupiter defended herself and Selina nodded in understanding. Jupiter directed her to the portal and when she stepped in said to her "do not leave the room till I'm there, I don't want them to think you are an enemy of the kingdom and going outside that room are bright light that can kill you"
Selina nodded and then Jupiter slowly closed the portal and turned to head for the royal palace again. When she arrived there this time she didn't find him there but the wolf siblings who stood side by side quietly.
"hello?" Jupiter waved at them as she knew they had noticed her presence but ignored her. They remained quiet even when she greeted. "you both shouldn't really act so bossy, it sucks"
"my princess?" the vampire king appeared from where ever he was and she turned to watch him walk towards her.
"do you have dumb people as guards?" Jupiter teased and then she got a death glare from the two people and she giggled slightly, she had finally gotten their attention.
"they choose to be silent and they have a personal reason" the vampire king answered with a smile
"okay, I need to leave now. They must be so worried about me and I must go check out their plans so we can know how we plan ours" Jupiter said with a puppy face.
"you should care less about them, the only thing carrying you there is to observe their plan" he said to her and she nodded with a wide smile
"I don't care about them anymore, they couldn't even try to search for me. I can't believe they never loved me because if they did, they would have searched everywhere for me" Jupiter answered with fake sorrow and he gave her a sad smile
"don't let them sense your sorrow, my daughter" he assured her and she nodded
"I'll take my leave now" Jupiter said and quickly winked at the wolf siblings and walked towards her room.
Selina waited patiently in the room but couldn't see Jupiter coming anytime soon, she sat on the bed. But just then she heard a knock on the door.
"I smell a vampire in here" she overheard a female voice say at the other side of the door "it can't be Jupiter"
"which other vampire can have access to her room?" a masculine voice said this time and just then the door was pushed opened up and Selina flinched in fear as someone held her neck tightly and she couldn't breathe
"vampire" that was the only thought on her mind, she looked at the man's face but had no idea who he was.
"who are you?" he shouted authoritatively
"let's take her to my parents" mercury said and Kenny dragged her forcefully and then she could see the light at the corridor and she struggled backward in fear. But he was stronger as he pulled her forward, she screamed fearfully and tears poured down her eyes. Fighting not to move into the light and wishing Jupiter could appear now.
She walked into the room and quickly created a portal that showed her room and immediately she gasped and quickly stepped into the portal.
"Kenny stop!" she shouted and Kenny stopped and looked up at her, his eyes widen.
"Jupiter?" both Kenny and mercury shouted simultaneously and Kenny let go of Selina and she dropped to the floor as they both rushed towards Jupiter.
"where have you been?" mercury asked almost in tears
"how did you escape?" Kenny questioned but Jupiter quickly turned away from them and rushed towards the girl who found it hard to breath and was lying on the floor. "we found her in your room"
"do you know her?" mercury frowned
"she is my maid at the vampire mansion" Jupiter answered and helped the girl up "you know she's a vampire and you were taking her to the light"
"I totally forgot, I was taking her to your parents. I had no idea she was trying to escape the light" Kenny answered
"that's right. How could we have forgotten?" mercury slam her hands on her forehead.
"I am fine" they heard the girl whisper as she kept wondering if this was another day walker, he had walked in through the light and she was sure about that.
"why did you bring her?" Kenny asked curiously "she could be a spy"
"she isn't a spy and I believe that. Her name is Selina, she would be here with us and she's not going back there" Jupiter answered and place her on the bed
"we should talk about you now? What happened?" mercury asked curiously
"oh mercury, you worry too much, I am fine now" Jupiter smiled at her sister and she turned to Selina "this is mercury, my twin sister, well not actually blood twin but I wish she was. It doesn't change anything; she is my favorite person. And the guy is Kenny, a day walker as you would have guess, he is mercury's boyfriend"
she frowned at the introduction as she was totally confused. Firstly, she wondered why a wolf and a witch and vampire hybrid could be twin and at the same time how another day walker exist.
"how is he a day walker?" Selina frowned in confusion
"well, it is a really long story and you would get to know about it sooner. We should go meet my family but since you can't move in the light, we would have to bring them here" Jupiter answered with a smile and Selina nodded and stared at the two people she had just been introduced to
"hello" she waved at them and they smiled back at her
"welcome to the wolf kingdom, a friend of Jupiter is a friend of me" mercury grinned at her and she giggled
"I hope you get comfortable around here. I got very comfortable on the first day" Kenny teased and they all laughed.
"you should go call the others" Jupiter said to her sister and mercury nodded and hurried out of the room to go get the others
"how long have you been working for the vampire king?" Kenny asked her
"I was born under him and I have been working all my life" Selina answered and bit her lips slightly "my parents worked as his servant and I had to take after them when they were dead"
"I am sorry about your parents" Jupiter answered and she smiled weakly
"how many amount of blood do you consume in a day?" Kenny questioned her curiously
"the maids and servant takes the leftover of the king, that is what we feed on and I have gotten used to it, I don't consume so much. I haven't had a fresh blood in my life" she replied and Kenny shook his head in disbelief.
"we would provide enough blood for you but you must never take a person's blood unwillingly" Jupiter said to her and she nodded
"I won't do that" Selina said with a smile
"it's nice that you can control your thirst for blood, I don't need to worry that much" Kenny said
"why do I perceive a different scent in that room, I recognize Kenny's scent" queen irine said
"what could he be doing in Jupiter's room" queen Lauraquestioned in confusion
"just be patient mom" mercury smiled "it's a surprise"
"but he's with someone else and who could that be?" Seth said and Olivia frowned at him
"do humans perceive the presence of people?" Olivia asked in confusion and he realized she had gone too far
