Chapter 15

"Silver hair" she whispered as she looked closely at the woman who was ready to attack the people in front of her "the witch queen".
Just then the woman looked up at her and then her eyes widen, and she brought down her hands before looking at the other people closely. She recognized one of the boys, she had seen his picture. He was Jordan's son; the other boy was obviously human, and he was the friend Jordan spoke about. Then she looked at the two girls, they were werewolves, they had already transformed as they were eager to fight, and she looked back at the red-haired girl in front of her, she hadn't taken her eyes off her. they both looked at each other speechlessly,
"She's the witch queen's eth said in a whisper to the others,
"Is that Laura?" Olivia asked, and Adam nodded still looking at the woman,
"That's her mother "Mercury replied "her biological mother".
"Laura?"a masculine voice called as Jordan appeared and his eyes widen as he glared and joined the other people to stare at the reunited family.
"Mother?" Jupiter whispered as she forced herself to say something, Laura tried to speak but her voice failed her, and she tried again.
"My daughter", those were the only words she could say.
"Mother"Jupiter repeated as the woman struggled to her feet but staggered a bit and Jupiter hurriedly ran beside her to support her.
Laura stared at the girl, she was so beautiful and perfect and immediately she pulled her into a hug as she was beginning to understand why Jordan said she won't regret having the baby when she saw who she had become. Jupiter felt like staying in those arms longer, it felt like home, it was comforting and warm, she had the feelings that she had been in those arms once and now she missed it.
Laura held her daughter, not wanting to let her go, she feared losing her again. They couldn't point out how long they stayed in that position and the others watched quietly as the little time felt like eternity.
Jordan coughed slightly, bringing everyone back to reality. Laura and Jupiter separated from themselves and the others sat at the other chairs, but Jupiter and Laura kept standing.
"You both need to sit"Jordan said as he held Laura to sit, Jupiter found her way beside Mercury.
"I've been staring for too long, I don't know what to say", Queen Laura spoke almost in a whisper and Jupiter nodded in understanding.
"Me too, I wasn't expecting to see you so soon and not here of all places", Jupiter answered.
"We have to many things to talk about privately, but I must apologize to you first". Queen Laura said and Jupiter raised her brows in confusion.
"Why do you want to apologize?" She questioned.
"You deserve an apology. I am sorry I wasn't there for you Jupiter".
"You know my name?" Jupiter asked in surprise as she couldn't recall telling her about her name in the dream.
"Don't be too surprised Jupiter" Laura smiled "I got it from Jordan, I asked him"
"You told her everything?"Jupiter suddenly faces Jordan with a frown and he shook his head negatively.
"Not at all, I wanted you to do that yourself," he replied, and she nodded affirmatively then looks at the woman who was smiling.
"I'm sorry I left you at that forest", she began her epistle of apology which she had tried to figure out a way to put it, but it wasn't working "I had no place in mind, I couldn't let him get you, he was going to use you as a tool. I opened the wolf boundary with almost all my power and energy. I left you there and I couldn't go back to the kingdom, he killed almost everyone at the coven and a few escaped but I saw him kill my father right before me. I left my people, I couldn't fight him alone. I couldn't fight the vampire king with his soldier which had surrounded us".
"But you'll are powerful and mighty" Mercury said.
"You can't easily make a witch except through reproduction as a human and they witch child has to grow before we can make an army out of him or her, but the vampire can create an army in a day just by biting a grown human. They made us believe they were friends as they slowly killed us and bury some of us secretly. They got to know our secrets and weaknesses and after creating a great army, they ambushed us", Queen Laura explained with a frown as her expression held deep pain. "I failed my people, I left them to die, I agreed to my father to marry that vampire, but I don't regret marrying him anymore or even regret having you "
"What?" They all asked immediately, and Jupiter stared at her in disbelief, why would she not regret marrying the person that killed her kind and ruin her Life?
"I can't regret it because I gave birth to you. It's the greatest gift I've ever had", Queen Laura smiled but Jupiter expression didn't change.
"Your happy cause you birthed me?" Jupiter questioned as she began to flare up, "do you have any idea of how my life had been? How I survived? How I managed to escape the scorns and mockery of the kind of beings I lived with? Do you know how I thought and lived with my own people as an abomination for Nineteen years? Do you know the Ill-treatment I got? The nightmares and attacks from that dark monster, you know nothing about my life, nothing. All you did was push out a child and dump her" she shouted and ranted in tears as she stood up.
"Jupiter?" Mercury called softly as she stood up to join her
"Don't!" She shouted as she knew Mercury would try consoling her which could add more salts.
"Jupiter?" Mercury called again in a sad tone, "be calm, you know nothing about her life either, the pains she took to the bare you, the sacrifices to keep you safe".
"I shouldn't remind you that she used all her energy to open that boundary and put you there away from harm, would you have wanted to grow up with your father as the villain?" Olivia asked,
"Or you would have wanted her to flush you away?" Adam asked, "maybe if she said she tried to abort you then you'll hate her more".
"You should be considerate now" Mercury reminded.
"I'm sure she loves you, fighting for you in your nightmares, trying her best to keep you safe away from your vampire father and coming back to look for you, that's one of the best sacrifices she could ever had performed". Seth got up and walked closer to her " that day I met you,I could see how much you loved your sister and even the whole wolf kingdom, you were ready to fight for them. She gave you an opportunity to know this wonderful family, she deserves appreciation".
Jupiter weep quietly for different reasons which she couldn't point out, but finally she had met her mother and her kind of person, her blood. Adam moved closer and held her, placing her head on his shoulder.
"You'll be fine" he whispered "I trust and believe in you".
"I'm sorry", Jupiter apologized as she noticed she wet his clothes, he nodded with a smile and she turned to the woman who sat quietly with a sad expression and she bit her lips to avoid the tears that threaten to fall.
"I'm sorry mother", she apologized and moved towards her, " I'm sorry that I wasn't considerate. I was focused on my own life and didn't think about the pains you went through".
"I knew you'll be fine because you were destined to live. And I also focused on my life not knowing you'll have to struggle alone to survive. I wish I was there for you, I wish I was the mother you needed", Laura said as she tried to apologize.
"I'm happy I've met you now. My wolf mom wasn't bad, she was awesome. She raised four children and they made me believe Mercury was my twin" Jupiter laughed slightly as she dried up her tears and Mercury came forward with a smile then waved at Laura.
"I'm still her twin" Mercury grinned, and Laura laughed and nodded as Mercury hit Jupiter's arm playfully.
"It's nice knowing you, you both look a bit alike", she smiled brightly.
"And meet Olivia", she pointed at Olivia who joined them, "she was made my personal bodyguard by the wolf parents, but I turned her into my best friend".
"I'm still your protector" Olivia teased and bowed slightly. " pleased to meet the witch queen".
"Never leave her side please" Laura laughed, "stick to her like a glue".
"And these two males are Seth and Adam", Jupiter dragged them towards her and they bowed at the witch queen who gave them a smile. "They are my closest friends and Adam is Jordan's son, I'll tell you how I met Seth, he kind of unveil my hidden powers indirectly".
"I did?" Seth asked, and she laughed.
"You'll never know, your appearance at that boundary changed a lot in my life", Jupiter said and turned back to Laura.
"And I'm Jupiter, the wolf princess, a hybrid, half witch and half vampire. I am nineteen with a well-trained fighting skill, taught by my adoptive father. I have sharp hearing ability, I got a speed, faster than the wolves. I came to the human world because my adoptive parents thought I was a human, so I came to stay with my claimed people and find my parents". She narrated without a break.
"I'm Laura, the witch queen and I have so many magical abilities and powers, I'm physically trained and I'm going to be your first magic teacher, it's going to be a hard process. I don't know where to begin", Laura ran her hand through her hair.
"I could teach her the basics", Adam volunteered.
" And I would continue from there", Jordan said "you will be stress free, you only have to teach her the higher spells and magic. Then train her on how to become the next witch queen".
"Next witch queen?" Jupiter exclaimed, and the three witch and wizards nodded, and she blinked
"What about being a vampire?" Seth asked, "I love vampires".
"I can't let her be who her father is," Laura defended with a frown.
"His blood is in her veins", Olivia popped in, " it can't be flushed away, so she has to be what he is in a good way"
"There's no good way to a vampire, they are dark and bloody, a cold-blooded vampire with no emotions" Laura raised her voice.
"There's only one way to defeat the vampire king" Jordan stepped in "he's out there, lurking around and looking for a way to cease her. You know only his blood child can help him destroy the world and this same blood would bring him down. Which do you choose?" Jordan turned to Jupiter and she stared at him
"I'll choose the way you'll want, the right way, I'll choose to defeat this one blood to save my other family. I choose you all over him, hundred times and more" she said, and Laura nodded in agreement after understanding their points.
"So how would she train?" Mercury asked " we know of no vampire"
"She'll start by reading books" Seth said "I have many books about supernatural and mystical beings. The wolves, vampire, witch, witch hunters, fairies and even mermaids. But I got more on vampires because I love them".
"I'll get them from you at school tomorrow" she said and heaved " do you think I can cope with all these changes? The training and classes and everything".
"We won't leave the burden on you alone", Olivia said, "we would be by you and train with you and cheer you, we would encourage you", Jupiter nodded with a smile and whispered, "thank you".
"You're strong Jupiter, dad has taught you a lot, you don't need to worry much, you'll see yourself doing so well like you've been doing it all your life" Mercury grinned at her.
"You're powerful, don't underrate yourself" Laura said, "you're the first hybrid of your kind".
"I'm powerful" Jupiter repeated as she accepted and digested the fact "I'm not alone, I'm going to do great with you all by my side. I am happy I met you all, I don't know how I would have coped without every one of you".
"You can, you can do without me" Seth rolled his eyes "I got no usefulness, I'm just a human".
"A human who is well trained. Strong enough to beat the bullies in school. And the one who can supply me with all necessary information, ideas and books. Thats a lot of things Seth can do for me" Jupiter gave him a genuine smile and he grinned in happiness.
"Don't smile too much, save it for the future" Laura said, and everyone started laughing.
"So where do we start?" Mercury asked when the laughter died down.
"During break in school, we would all meet at the school park" Adam said, "we start Jupiter's training there"
"Isn't the park too open? What about the library?" Olivia asked.
"No way, the library is way too quiet for our noise"Jupiter pushed away the opinion and then everyone turned to the quiet Seth and he looked back at them.
"What?" He asked in confusion.
"Waiting for you opinion. You're the brain among us" Mercury answered and he raised his brows, tapping his fingers on the table in thoughts.
"Ok...ay..." He dragged the words with a smile "I got an idea, guess..."
"Spill it!" They all shouted, and he jerked in fear and frowned at them as they all laughed at the way he vibrated earlier.
"The garden", he spat out and walked away,
"Yes!"Adam exclaimed "the garden is a perfect idea".
"It's prohibited" Jupiter frowned but that didn't change the expression on Olivia and Adams face, Laura and Jordan watched the children in curiosity.
"Don't be dumb, we have the principal. Mr. Fredrick" Olivia explained, "we just ask for it, I mean you ask for it as his princess and he would obey".
"That doesn't mean it's going to be hidden, students can ignore the rules and walk in" Jupiter argued again in confusion and then Olivia became speechless, but Adam was still grinning.
"Not when I cover us with the invisible cloak, come on. It's one of the things witches and wizards could do", Adam laughed at their astonished face.
"It could wear off after a long while", Laura added as a reminder.
"It could last long enough to practice for an hour", he smiled, and the girls nodded excitedly.
"You should go apologize to Seth" Jordan said, "he deserves a thank you too".
"Sure!" Mercury said immediately which surprised the teenagers and they glared at her in astonishment.
"What?" She asked as they looked at her like she had some dirt on her face, she used her hands to clean her face.
"You're so eager to apologize to Seth, that's unusual" Jupiter raised her brows and Mercury sighed in relief.
"Is that it? I'm trying to fix myself, don't you like it?" Mercury asked with a frown,
"We love it",
"Sure",
"Of course, we do".
They all exclaimed simultaneously and walked outside to meet Seth who leaned by the car.
"We are so sorry about the way we spoke to you inside", Mercury apologized giving him a puppy face.
"Is that from you?" Seth asked in disbelief and amazement as he looked at the people behind her and they smiled and grinned at him.
"Who else? I'm truly sorry, it's from my heart" she smiled and immediately pulled him into a tight hug and he struggled to breath as the others looked at them in surprise.
"We thought you both deserve a lift" Mercury grinned at the boys who glare at them in confusion and surprise. They had woken up this morning and prepared to leave for school, but Mercury had insisted on coming to pick Seth and Adam at their home.
"And I also thought I should stop by and say hi to Mom" she smiled as she brushed past them into the house, she hadn't bought the idea of Laura staying over at Adam's place but there was going to be enough space at her home and Laura had a lot of things to talk about with Jordan. Laura continued that she wouldn't like to stay alone when the girls left for school, so she had to stay at Adam's place and be with Jordan when the boys left for school.
"Are you going to hop in or you'll keep staring?"Olivia asked as she pointed at the car
"This new Mercury is amazing, I'm so in love with her kind gesture", Adam smiled as they walked towards the car, Mercury gave him a sharp glare that shut him up.
"Thanks for thinking about us, Mercury", Seth said with a grin as he moved into the car after Adam, but then they noticed Mercury was sitting behind with them and Olivia was at the front, they kept their observations to themselves to avoid annoying her. Jupiter walked out of the house and Laura joined her, they hugged each other, and Jupiter kissed her cheeks before moving to the car. The woman waved at then from the door as the car rolled away following Jupiter's lead.
"I forgot to tell you Mercury, you look good on your uniform" Seth praises and she smiled happily but before she could say 'thank you ' Olivia popped in.
"Why are you both suddenly praising her so much?" Olivia asked.
"Sure!" Jupiter added, "I'm not liking these new changes, why are we left out?"
"Do I smell jealousy in the air?" Mercury laughed and did her usual victory dance and the other girls rolled her eyes as they tried to hold back their laughter.
