"Then you must have a crush" she grinned happily, and he looked at her, she was not letting the topic go and she was putting words into his lips, she was very happy he has a crush on another girl, no hint of sadness or jealousy. He couldn't avoid her questions and Mercury with Seth weren't helping.
"I do" he whispered, and she screamed excitedly and even hugged him
"Isn't that a great news guys?" She asked others and they all have her fake smiles and she looked at them suspiciously. "Why the fake smiles? Aren't you happy?"
"You're happy he has a crush and soon they'll be dating, you'll be the only one with no one at all" Mercury answered her.
"I don't get you? You don't have a man either, he barely even gives a damn about you" Jupiter mocked
"Ya, I don't have a man" she frowned slightly "I only thought I could talk to my sister and help her. I'm sorry I went too far" she turned and walked out of the house.
"I don't know what to say about this current situation" Olivia spoke as everyone were silent, she walked over to Seth "let's go outside"
Adam and Jupiter stood facing each other silently, Adam walked closer to her and held her hands.
"I have a crush on someone like I said earlier, but the person is you" he said, and she looked up at him in surprise. "I know we are doing this fake relationship game in school, but I also want to make it real and I can't force you to make a decision you won't like, I just want you to know that Mercury wants the best for you and she's been asking me why I haven't approached you and the truth is, I don't know if you love me too. Seeing the way, you're excited about me having a crush on someone else, then you don't even have those feelings for me. I will respect your wishes, and you think about all I said, he breath in heavily when he was done but Jupiter didn't say anything, she bit her lips and he nodded with a weak smile and walked out.
They all stayed in the car waiting for Jupiter to join them, soon she walked out, opened the door of the car and got in. Olivia started the car and moved it into the road. The trip to Adams house was a quiet one, everyone had their own thoughts in their head. Only Olivia and Seth who sat in front managed to speak to each other and exchange smiles. Jupiter watched them in amazement, Olivia who was a hard person had suddenly become soft for Seth, she smiled more often, and she glowed brightly, it was obvious she was happy with their relationship. She could still recall when Olivia rejected Seth in the car on their way to school, she could remember Seth's expression, but it was different with Adam, Adam had even smiled at her, was he so good at making his feelings, or maybe it was easy since he is a wizard.
Mercury smiled weakly when the two couple in front cracked jokes for each other, she tried to imagine herself in Olivia's position and her Mr. attractive as Seth, but she couldn't create an imagery, she shut her eyes tightly, wondering what would have drawn her to Kenny, she wished she never saw him. She had always thought Infatuation and love wasn't so real when it comes to the opposite gender, she had only felt love from her family. She had planned on getting married to one of the Alpha wolves and rule the pack as a Luna even if she didn't find her mate. And then something rang in her head. Olivia hadn't said anything about her wolf being restless and wanting to be in control. When she had seen Mr. attractive, she had battled with her wolf and till now she had been emotionally down as her wolf wanted to meet Kenny again. But then her mind took her to the story Seth had told her, Olivia had become possessive and went after him, kissed him and dragged him away from the bunch of girls. Maybe he was indeed her mate. Mercury could hear her wolf growl inwardly, but she fought it down.
They parked in front of the house and they all got down, walking into the house. Laura and Jordan were watching a movie at the sitting room.
"Good afternoon, Mr Jordan" they all greeted and turned to Laura "Good afternoon ma'am"
They both welcomed the children and Laura made sure she hugged everyone of them with smiles on her face. Jupiter sat beside her and others waited patiently for the mother and daughter talk, they explained to Laura and Jordan about their first practice with Jupiter and how it went, Adam explained carefully to them as they both marvel at the power Jupiter exhibited. They asked for some time to go to the tree house and trained more. Laura and Jordan agreed and even insisted they join them and watch what Jupiter would do. Jupiter watch Adam praise her with happiness to her mother and his father, others watched him in surprise as he continued not knowing the others were watching him. Then he turned to the others.
"Let's go to the tree house", he smiled
"Aren't you going to rest? You must be stressed "Jupiter asked, and he shook his head negatively and dragged her along with him and the others tailed behind. "Why did you praise me so much?"
"It's actually what Happened, I told them the truth and you deserve the praise" he answered with a grinned and she shook her head in confusion.
"Why are you acting this way?" She questioned with a frown
"How?"he asked back and she stopped immediately making the others behind to stop as well.
"You act like everything is okay, like you're happy but you're faking the smiles" she said
"Why do you think so? I'm not faking it Jupiter. I am okay"he answered giving her another smile and she pulled her hands out of his gentle grip.
"Stop lying to me, it's obvious that you're faking everything" she shouted, and he looked away and sighed then looked back at her.
"Let's not talk about this, Jupiter" he pleaded
"And go back acting like nothing happened?" She questioned with a frown "when do you want to talk about it"
"What do you want me to do or say?" He shouted in frustration, "you want me to hate you for not loving me too? or hit you or even ignore you? Stop talking to you and acting like I don't know you? Is that what you want? That's the most childish thing I could ever do because you don't love me back"
She stared at him speechlessly and tears rolled her eyes as she was confused on what to do. He looked at her and then he suddenly felt guilty and as he moved a step closer to her; she jumped on him and hugged him tightly, he was confused but he held her to himself, comforting her as she poured the tears on his shirt.
"I'm sorry " he whispered and she looked up at him and sealed her lips with his, shutting him from apologizing and she felt this was the best thing to do, maybe this would be her genuine happiness as she could feel the butterflies in her belly like she felt the first day she saw him, that day at the car park, now she felt so happy to be in his arms.
The others watch with smiles on their faces, all happy for the newly discovered love life, Mercury looked at her sister, she was having mixed feelings, happiness and pains battled in her, she was happy for her sister and now she was sad that she couldn't experience or know what the feeling of being loved back equally looked like, she had watch Olivia and Seth begin their love story and now Adam and Jupiter, she felt isolated and didn't realize when she began sobbing and they all turned to her and she bit her lips, struggling to hold back the tears but it fought it way out.
Jupiter hurried forward with a worried face towards Mercury, but she moved backwards immediately, and Jupiter frowned.
"Mercury?" She called with a calm voice and Mercury sniffed,
"I'm so happy for you" she said as her voice were shaky, and her tears were flowing "it's what I wanted for you. You and Mr. sexy, Adam. And yes, it's working for you already. And you were right, I don't have any man, no one to love me back, the one I fell for is totally out of my league. So, I'll take in all the pains and I will survive, i know I will" she cried and turned around walking away. Jupiter tried to go after her, but Laura and Jordan stopped her.
"She needs sometime alone" Laura whispered, "let her pour out the pains through her tears, she'll be a bit relieved when she's done".
Jupiter bit her lips and nodded, then turned to Olivia and Seth, they had a weak smile on their faces and it was obvious they were both happy and sad, she looked at Adam and he moved closer to her, hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"I don't want you to cry" he said " she will be fine, I believe that. Let's go and train"
They all walked further, and they stopped at the large field and the tree house stood beautifully at the center.
"We would begin here"Jordan pointed and they walked towards were he stood, they sat round but Laura excused them and walked back to the house. Jupiter and Adam stood at opposite directions and help the lighter, trying to repeat the same process they did at school, he lit the lighter and the fire popped out, immediately Jupiter straight her hands at it, commanding the fire inwardly, and immediately the fire moved circling her again, and as usual none could touch her skin and in a second she had drained all the gas from the lighter. Jordan stared in amazement and the others were dumbfounded, she had been faster than earlier.
"See that?" Adam smiled at them, "we would do something different"
And then he threw the lighter, raised his hands and summoned the fire and it took him a minute to finally summon a big fire ball. Then he turned to her for her to try hers and he controlled the ball.
She raised her hand upward and immediately summoned the exact fire ball Adam had created in a second and she didn't stop there, she created three bigger balls and let them flow in the air, Adam was surprised as how she could control more than one fire ball. Immediately he threw the fire ball at her, Jupiter eyes widen, and she could hear the other people scream but it was already late.
She found herself on the floor and she thought she wasn't breathing anymore, she opened her eyes slowly as she heard voices around her.
"She created an ice shield", Jordan gasped as she struggled up and she could see some broken ice on the floor around her, Olivia helped her to her feet and immediately she turned to Adam angrily.
"How could you?" She screamed, "you almost killed me"
"You're alive, I knew you'll defend yourself. You are smart, and your powers could work on their own for defense and even when you're unconscious" he answered with a smile "you're indeed something else, you're unique"
"Why are you so sure?" She glared at him.
"Jupiter you're the next witch queen and from a powerful lineage, you've got a vampire blood too" Jordan answered "your powers work for you, everything obeys you".
"She might even have a wolf blood" Seth teased, and Olivia hit his shoulder.
"That's not possible", Olivia laughed at the joke and even Adam and Jordan joined in the laughter, but Jupiter didn't, she was staring at nothing then she looked up at them with a wide eye.
"I was injected with a wolf blood when I was sixteen, the royal family contributed their blood to me so they could experiment on me, they thought I would have a wolf after that but it didn't work ,my body system accepted all their bloods and it matched perfectly but unluckily the experiment didn't work on me" she explained with a sad face.
"What?" Seth exclaimed, "you're a mystery"
"You're having excess power in you and I hope your body could control it" Jordan said to her
"She can control it, they have been in her for so long. The powers are used to her and she's used to her powers too" Olivia answered.
"What's next?" Jupiter asked curiously.
"It's easy to create fire and it's same for water and ice, you summon, and they obey you, now creating a portal is what you should know" Jordan said and turned to Adam " I'll take over from here"
"So, I don't need the basics?"she asked with a frown.
"The basics are all in you already. Just say the word, imagine them and they work without hesitation, it's easy because you're their princess", Adam smiled at her and she nodded in understanding.
"So, let's create a portal" Jordan said and turned towards the open space, the others stood behind him watching closely. "Imagine where you want to go to"
He shut his eyes, imagining a place and spinning his fingers round, from a smaller size to a bigger circle and slowly a light appeared in a circular form and right in front of them was a dark forest and it was so creepy with sounds of weird birds and insects.
"Where is this?" Jupiter whispered in fear, but he didn't reply as he slowly close the portal with gloomy face and turned to them.
"Your turn" he said to Jupiter, but she ignored him
"Where was that place, dad?" Adam asked as he sense something was wrong about the place.
"It's my home, the coven. That's where we stayed and grew till the calamities befell us" Jordan answered "it was a perfect place with bright and shinny magical trees, everyone was so easy and joyful at home"
"Why is it dark now?" Olivia asked
"Nobody stays there again, it was occupied by some vampires" he replied "they prefer the dark as most of them can't walk under the sun"
"They have day walkers?" Seth asked curiously
"Yes, only the royals are day walkers and that's why Jupiter can walk under the sun. If a royal blood bite a human, that human becomes a day walker, so they avoid biting and send their servants to fetch and supply them blood" Jordan answered
"So, they don't bite, that means there are no other day walkers apart from the royals?"Seth questioned again
"Yes, if they bite a human, they kill that human immediately, only the servants bite and multiply their kind"
"This is incredible even more interesting" Seth said and raised his hands up to ask another question "do you know how many more royals exist?"
"Just the vampire Lord and Jupiter" he answered "enough about vampires, Jupiter it's your turn"
Jupiter gave a weak smile and turned to the empty space with deep thoughts about the coven, she couldn't let the vampires take over the coven, she had to do something, she must learn faster.
"Think and imagine where you want to be" Adam whispered to her when she was taking more time and she shut her eyes tightly, pushing away the thoughts of the coven, she thought of where else she would love to see, the kingdom popped into her mind, the wolf kingdom but then she needed to meet Mercury now than ever, she opened her eyes and concentrated on an image of Mercury and just then the portal began to form, spinning from a smaller circle to a huge circle, she smiled at herself and looked back at the others and they all nodded at her to step into it, she looked back to the portal and she could see Mercury and Laura in the sitting room and they were looking back at her in surprise, she walked right through the portal courageously. The others joined as Seth, Adam and Olivia held each other in fear before walking through the portal.
Jupiter stood in front of Mercury and Laura who were dumbfounded and surprised, she smiled at them and walked closer.
"I'm sorry Mercury" she apologized, "I'm sorry about the way you felt and the way my actions hurt you"
"I understand" she smiled, "queen Laura did some talking to me and send some sense to me and I'm sorry I overreacted"
"Thanks" Jupiter smiled back, "you saw that portal I made?"
"Sure, that was incredible. How did you do that?" Mercury asked excitedly
"She did so many extraordinary things" Seth grinned " she created an ice shield, a fire ball and not just one fire ball, numerous fire ball at the same time"
"That's not possible" Laura said in disbelief, looking at Seth to Adam, then Jordan and Olivia and back to Jupiter who was still smiling at her.
"Don't doubt the power in her Laura" Jordan said "she did exactly what Seth has told you".
