Chapter 32

"that's a result of wrong leadership. Lord Logan divided everyone, thereby separating us" Kenny added,
"some vampires decided to stay alone and others with friends and family, creating another clan of vampires. But some also choose to work with lord Logan" Bernard continued,
"we would make tents for you'll in the forest" mercury said "the tall trees would keep the sun away from penetrating, it would be dark in here even at dawn"
"did you send some of your men to the house I directed?" Kenny asked Bernard,
"yes, I guess fifty men is enough" he answered, and Kenny nodded positively and turned to the ladies,
"can you open the boundary and let them in?" Kenny asked mercury and she turned to Jupiter. Jupiter turned towards the boundary, shutting her eyes and began to chant a spell, when she was done she turned to them
"we can move in" she said to them and they all stared at each other in confusion, they hadn't noticed any changes except the wolves. Of course, it was an invisible cloak and no other creature could see it and they couldn't penetrate to the other side if the cloak wasn't open.
"the boundary is invisible to other creatures apart from the wolves and maybe Jupiter and her mother" Olivia explained as the confused vampires began to walk in. mercury hurried towards one of the wolf guard, ordering him to get the equipment to make a tent for the vampires. The werewolf obeyed and raced towards the kingdom.
When they were all in, they watched Jupiter close the invisible boundary and she moved towards them.
"is he one of us?" Bernard asked Kenny, pointing at Seth. Seth made a low, musing sound in his throat as Adam glanced upwards, acting like they never heard the question.
"he certainly can't be one of us, guess what he is?" Kenny grinned, trying to push away the awkward feeling
"what could he be? He doesn't smell like a wolf" Bernard answered still sniffing at him,
"he's a human" Kenny replied with a smile, but Bernard frowned immediately,
"that's not possible, we've come across so many humans and he doesn't smell like one" he said in disbelief, the girls looked at them curiously in confusion.
"he looks different" Olivia whispered to Jupiter and mercury and they glanced at her
"I don't see anything unusual" mercury whispered back to Olivia,
"me too. But why are we whispering?" Jupiter questioned still whispering and they laughed slightly at each other
"I don't know, maybe we shouldn't whisper" Olivia answered
"no, we shouldn't" Jupiter ran her hands through her hair.
"he's been in the midst of vampires and wolves, maybe he's gotten mixed up with the scent" Kenny explained trying to justify the situation.
"we all need to rest" Adam added "I guess we are all tired, it might be because of stress"
"exactly!" Seth pointed, and the girls laughed slightly as he quickly held Olivia to himself
"Jupiter!" Adam called, and she turned to notice they were all staring at her
"what?" she raised her voice in clear confusion and she noticed they held their laughter, she wondered what exactly was funny.
"your mind isn't here, what are you thinking of? We all want to go home" mercury laughed slightly, and she gasped at her ignorance and quickly began to create a portal. They stepped into the portal, appearing right into the hall.
"hey, did anyone notice Dawn has been missing?" Seth said, and their eyes widen as Olivia gasped in fear
"when did we see him last?" mercury inquired and they all searched through their minds
"he was with us when we came to meet you guys" Olivia said with panic in her voice
"and I'm certain that I saw him" Adam said, and Kenny frowned
"I can't even smell his presence" mercury said as they looked at each other with no idea of what to do
"what do we do?" Kenny questioned
"find him!" Olivia raised her voice as she was almost in tears and she moved for the corridor and they joined her in the search of the boy, opening every door they came across and asking the guards and maids they came across.
They had got to Venus room and she had no idea of where he was and didn't hesitate to join them in the search. They headed for mars room and when they got closer they realized they could smell the presence of the boy and they sighed in relieve as they knocked on the door, they heard someone mumbling and they frowned, wondering what mars and the boy was up to. Kenny pushed the door open and they were surprised at what they met.
Mars and Dawn were tied to different chairs and right behind them was a man on black, hiding in the dark. They couldn't see his face but they all knew who he was, their face held anger and confusion. They were still wondering how someone was able to penetrate the boundary.
"how did you get in here?" Jupiter asked in a commanding voice as she stepped forward, but Adam pulled her back, holding her tight.
"let them go now or I'll reap you apart" Olivia said in anger as she half transformed, her teeth and became sharper and her fingers got longer.
"be calm girl" the man in the shadow said in between laughter, he still hadn't moved "I'm not even here"
"what do you mean?" Seth questioned curiously
"are you not the human I heard about? You smell different" the man laughed again
"you haven't answered the question" Adam interrupted taking everyone back to the main subject.
"this is just a magical image of me and not the real me. I'm not here physically" he answered,
"how is that possible?" Jupiter asked in confusion,
"he is working with a witch or wizard, a powerful one" Adam answered in realization and they could notice the man smiling widely,
"he's absolutely right, soon I'll penetrate that weak boundaries and destroy every one of you. But if Jupiter could only join me, I'll have a bit of mercy" he said with no hint of emotions,
"you will never have me to yourself" Jupiter shouted angrily at him and suddenly he began to laugh,
"you will come to me soon; I have my blood running in your veins. Sooner or later, you will become the real you, the dominating vampire princess" he smirked at her,
"she has your blood, but you don't know her. She will never be you" mercury raised her voice.
"I would hear you all cry for mercy. For my mercy, children." He laughed and slowly began to fade away and the spell casted on mars and dawn who were glued to the chair quickly vanished and they struggled upward, dawn was already wiping slowly. They hurried towards the two weak people.
"I will kill him if I have the chance" Jupiter said angrily as Olivia hugged dawn tightly and Venus sat beside mars.
"we need to meet your mother, she could know the witch or wizard behind this or maybe stop them from penetrating, she could add more spell to the boundary" Kenny said,
"yes! We could create an invisible cloak over the boundary" Adam added,
They headed for the queen's chamber, they knocked on the door and without hesitation, mercury pushed the door open and the queen looked up at hem in confusion.
"what happened?" queen Laura asked and got up, staring at each of them. They quickly explained what had happened earlier as the queen frown "they are still using the forbidden spell; they could easily encounter their victim from any point they are. They can easily hurt any of you"
"we need to do something mom" Jupiter said to her mother "we need to create another invisible cloak over the boundary"
"one that they can't penetrate" queen irine said in a sad tone,
"we need to call Jordan. I have an idea" queen Laura said.
At dawn, the sun was not out. They all headed to the boundary to perform the magic queen Laura had talked about. Jupiter had opened a portal and it led them there.
When they walked out of the portal, they could see the vampires were surrounded by the werewolves. The fangs of the vampires were out and their eyes red as the wolves pushed out their fingers, they were ready to kill each other without mercy. The king and queen walked closer and the others followed behind them and they stopped in between the angry creatures.
"the vampires are friends to the royal family" the king said to the werewolves and they gasp in confusion.
"and we knew nothing about this?" a wolf asked raising his voice
"not when they stepped in last night. Certainly, the information would have gotten to you by dawn" the king answered raising his brows at them.
"what are they here for?" another wolf asked, and the other wolves nodded in agreement to the question.
"they are friends and they would be fighting along with the royal family against our one enemy" queen irine stepped in this time.
"we had given you a decision to make. I don't know who is ready to fight along with us" mars said
"why do you believe them. A vampire can't fight their king" the first wolf said again, frowning.
"but this king is a villain and this vampire are rogue, they are ready to fight for a new leadership, ready to fight and revenge the death of their love ones. They need to come together and live as one" Kenny answered and they all became quiet.
"we had decided to join you fight" a wolf announced, and the others nodded,
"then we should begin our training" Jupiter said "and please the vampires mean no harm"
"we have a purpose for coming here" queen irine reminded and they all turned away from the wolves and vampires, leaving them to settle themselves.
They waked closer to the boundary walls and stopped right in front of it. They waited for Laura to tell them about her plan and how she would stop the vampire king from penetrating.
"we would spill our blood for this spell" Laura said almost in a whisper and their eyes widen.
"mom?" Jupiter called in surprise,
"not much, we only have to slit our wrist" she explained to the frighten looking people "and it's just me and Jupiter"
"you're using his blood against him?" Jordan asked, and she nodded "it's risky"
"I know. His blood can stop him or stand with him. So, we would use it against him" Laura said, and they nodded slightly.
"hope there wouldn't be a negative reaction?" king Desmond asked curiously,
"I pray there isn't" she answered,
"I'm not going to risk the life of my daughter" he flared up,
"and she's my child and not yours" queen Laura fired back, and they could see the anger in the eyes of the alpha,
"I trained her and made her who she is, you can't just come and claim her" he roared and queen irine held his hand, trying to calm him.
"I gave birth to her" queen Laura said "that is enough reason to claim her"
"because your made indecent choices that brought her to the world, that doesn't make you her mother. You were never part of her life and it would be hard for you to ever fit in" the alpha said angrily with no emotions
"father!" Jupiter shouted angry, she was surprised at the words he had spoken. Immediately queen Laura backed them and disappeared. They all became silent, looking at each other.
"did you have to do that?" queen irine asked him but he didn't reply. "whether you like it, Laura owns Jupiter, we don't have our blood in that child. Do the right thing now"
Queen Irine quickly transformed to her wolf and ran back to the castle, Venus and mars joined her immediately. Jupiter hadn't taken her eyes off the alpha, Adam walked closer and held her hands, she looked up at him and he could notice the tears threatening to fall.
"I'm sorry" he whispered as he took the handkerchief to dry up the tears that finally fell off.
