Chapter 14

"I'm here for my daughter", that was the first word she said as she got into the house
"She isn't here" he replied before sitting on the chair,
"I still smell her presence here", she answered looking around and she paused "how did you know I have a child?"
"I am a wizard Laura, I can know a lot" he answered,
"You raised my daughter?" she asked,
"No, she came home with my son, two days ago and I could smell that she wasn't human, and she wasn't a pure witch either, she is a hybrid.
"As expected", Laura shut her eyes tightly like she was in pain "how did your son find her?"
"She's his classmate, they school at the same school and he brought her home some days back" he replied.
"What's her name?" she questioned as she looked around the house again, staring at the pictures.
"Jupiter, Jupiter Desmond" he answered.
"Do you know who raised her?"
"I barely know anything, you need to talk to her yourself", he replied as he noticed she stopped and stared at a picture then she looked at him
"You have a beautiful family, I never thought you'll get married to a human" she bit her lips
"I had no choice, wanted to get my mind off you, old lover", he mocked as the emotional pain stabbed him straight into his heart.
"I had no choice either, I had to be a good queen, and everyone wanted that I marry that vampire. And you got another woman when I left" she argued.
"You wanted me to wait? Till when Laura, you moved in with him after completing the marriage rites and procedures, your father asked me to stay away from you, threatening to kill me and my family. I moved away from the kingdom to this place and got myself drunk, made love to a stranger and she got pregnant. Laura I couldn't wait, so when I heard you got pregnant too, I realized there was nothing I could do. I got married to the human" he shouted, then he noticed tears falling down her face and she lowered her head.
"If only I knew he wanted a child from me, that he wanted a destructive tool from me, I would have run away, run away with you" she cried.
"I am happy you didn't" he said, and she looked up at him, surprised by his answer,
"What did you say?" she asked angrily "it gave you the chance to be with another woman right?"
"no" he replied "I'm happy you had that child, I am happy you had Jupiter, she's a wonderful child and when you get to know her better, you'll never regret bringing her into this world. I won't be surprised if she's the most powerful person on this planet. She has the blood of two powerful royals, she's and hybrid that is formed by powerful and supernatural creatures", Jordan explained, and Laura stared at him speechlessly. "Jupiter is beautiful, smart, understanding, powerful both physically and supernaturally, she got a beautiful smile like yours, we would never have been able to create or make such a child together, and I guess she was raised by the wolf king because she has a wolf bodyguard and knows so much about the wolves.
"She was raised by the wolf king?" Laura gasped
"I guess so" Jordan answered
"She's gone through a lot alone, my baby" she cried, "what if she doesn't want me anymore, she has adoptive parents".
"When she came here, she was so eager to trace you and her father" he replied.
"You told her about her father?".
"Yes, she also saw him in her dreams. I had to tell her something" he said, and she nodded
"Can I stay here for a while? I am scared; I don't know what to say to her. I barely even know her face" she whispered, and Jordan got up and brought her closer to himself and kissed her forehead.
"I trust in you, but if you want to stay then it's fine. But my son and his human friend would be back home from school anytime soon" he explained, and she nodded.
"I need to sleep" she said slowly, and he led her to the coach. "What about your wife?"
"She's nothing to worry about; she left after she gave birth to my son. She ran away" he answered.
"What? How could she?" Laura asked angrily.
"We never loved each other, it was just a one-day thing that resulted to the pregnancy and we were tied to each other. She got free from me when she delivered Adam. Come on, you should rest" he said, and she lay on the coach with different thoughts.
"mercury let the boys be" Jupiter yelled in between laughter as she came out of the shower to meet mercury standing in front of the boys and staring at them without blinking and Olivia ignored them as she was fiddling her phone.
"She won't give them any bit of freedom", Olivia added not looking away from her phone "they have been so quiet than usual and all thanks to mercury".
"Does she do this to all the male wolves?" Seth whispered,
"I don't think so" Jupiter laughed as she walked into the room to dress,
"Can you treat us as male?" Adam questioned.
"Okay, like boys" she grinned at them and they looked at her suspiciously "why don't you both fight me?".
"Hey, I don't beat girls" Seth said immediately "ask Jupiter".
"And I am a gentle man", Adam added as he rolled his eyes and mercury laughed before walking away and they both breathe in relieve.
"How long is she staying here?" Seth asked Olivia and she groaned, as she was upset about them distracting her and asking her too many questions.
"Why did you release them?" Olivia asked mercury and the boys widen their eyes,
"You support mercury?" Adam asked, and Olivia laughed, "that's bully, and you don't like people who bully".
I am not leaving anytime soon", mercury answered their questions "I'm joining you guys to school"
"What?" they both asked simultaneously, and mercury laughed again at their pale expression, she knew they were scared.
"Don't worry, I don't bite", she teased "I'll be in Jupiter's class, which of you stays with Jupiter?"
"Adam" Seth answered immediately in relieve and in between laughter.
"Oh, the sexy wizard", she smirked "I will be able to watch you better", then Jupiter walked out fully dressed, they all turned to her curiously.
"Going somewhere?" mercury enquired, and she nodded, Olivia raised her brows
"where?" Olivia asked.
"Adam's house", she replied with a smile as she picked up the car keys.
"My house?" Adam asked in surprise as they never spoke about going to his house
"I want to speak to your father and I have a feeling that I should be there sooner", she smiled "who is coming with me?"
"I!" everyone exclaimed and raised their hands together and they immediately got up, arranged what they were doing and joined Jupiter outside.
The car speed down the street as they headed down the quiet road and arguing inside the car on who was supposed to sit in front with Jupiter. Mercury sat in front beside Jupiter and laughed at the three people behind who were claiming and giving reasons why they should have sat in front with Jupiter.
"I've been with Jupiter all these days and I always sit at the front or I drive" Olivia complained "I don't know why that has changed".
"I'm the oldest male here" Adam continued as he threw a sharp glance at mercury who sticks out her tongue at him "the oldest male should be qualified to sit in front".
"What makes you think so?" Seth inquired as he looked at Adam, "I knew Jupiter before you and I am entitled to that honorary position".
"BLA, BLA, BLA AND BLA. Come off those unnecessary talks", mercury laughed "let's state the obvious. Jupiter is my sister and we've been together all our lives. Secondly, I just saw my sister after how many days, I need to be closer to her please, don't be to toxic".
"Mercury" Jupiter called "don't let them stand against you, you'll lose"
"Not when I have you beside me as a partner" she grinned excitedly,
"What If I decide not to be in the scene? I just sit and watch",
"You have to be in the scene" mercury frowned as she looked back at the people behind who were still frowning at her victory.
"So, I might choose to stand with them against you", Jupiter smiled, and mercury's eyes popped out,
"You want to choose them over me?" mercury asked folding her arms,
"I now have choices to make mercury and they are my friends, living beings like you, choosing them isn't a bad decision, "Jupiter explained and when mercury looked backward again, the three people were holding their laughter and gave her mockery faces.
"I don't know you again" mercury frowned as she looked outside the window,
"Get used to this part of me" Jupiter smiled "and sometimes try to be considerate, you'll make lot of friends".
"Fine!" she exclaimed, "you win".
"I pray those words last in her head", Olivia rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to make new friends, but not this bunch of troubles and problems", she replied pointing directly at the three people behind her.
"Oh!" Adam exclaimed as he groaned, "you're the trouble here. We were doing perfectly well before you popped into the picture".
"Who is the bossy one?" Seth asked and the other two pointed at mercury,
"Who's the commanding and intimidating one?' Adam continued and they all pointed at mercury again,
"Who takes people's position", Olivia asked and they all pointed at her.
"You're the trouble here", Jupiter laughed at the little scene, "fix yourself and you'll know this people behind you are great".
Mercury groaned and looked away from them, staring outside the windows quietly. The others continued talking to themselves and laughing at each other. Seth and Olivia told them about Andrea and his gang and how they sent them to the school clinic, in return Jupiter and Adam explained to them what happened between Chloe and them.
Mercury ignored them as they talked about things she had no idea about, though she was marveled at how they fought their rivals at school, she wanted to drop a comment, but she changed her mind, she didn't want to say anything annoying, so she avoided saying something. Then Seth turned to her and noticed how quiet she was and tapped the others and pointed at her, they looked at each other,
"Mercury?" Seth called, and she turned towards them,
"You're quiet" Adam said with a frown,
"I don't have what to say", she smiled slightly, "you're talking about school and I'm kind of left out here",
"Are you okay" Jupiter asked curiously as she peeped at her,
"I'm okay Jupiter, I'm trying to fix myself like you said", she replied before turning back to the window. Jupiter swallowed down the words she had in mind as the other three looked at each other uncomfortable before leaning backward quietly.
The car moved into the compound and stopped, they all got down and Adam made his way into the house and others joined him.
"Dad!" he called as he walked forward, just then his eyes met someone on the coach, he turned to look at Seth who opened his palms without an idea of who was lying on the coach.
"Who is that?" Olivia asked in curiosity,
"you don't know her?" mercury asked and they nodded in response and she walked immediately to the coach as she moved the blanket from the face to reveal the person but the person grabbed her hands tightly and hit her with the other hand on the chest and mercury landed on the floor and everyone arranged their self for defense and fight, but Jupiter walked closer.
