CHAPTER 14

This was simply absurd, especially given that Suzy's engagement to the President's son had occurred only two weeks before. Here she was, attempting to throw some air in her own domain. Was this kid insane or what?

“Anne, get some bodyguards and accompany your little aunt to her car before I do something to her!” Violet ordered Anne in a furious tone.

“Now you're using this girl to get rid of me!” Suzy snapped angrily at Violet.

“If you disrespect my baby again, I swear right now, you won't live to see that wedding you're putting on for the cameras.”

“You think you have the right to do this because you have more money than the rest of us?” Suzy asked with a sneer on her face, disgusted and very jealous about Violet.

“I have been too lenient on you, Suzy; you continue to disrespect me daily, and I will teach you a lesson,” she said as she stood up and lifted her hand.

Anne stopped her before she could do anything, “please, Mother, don't do this.”

“I've tolerated that jerk for far too long; get out of my way,” she yelled at Anne.

“Please, Mother. Please, I beg you,” Anne pleaded.

She understood whatever she was about to do would be extremely harmful, particularly to Suzy. While they were doing this, another visitor arrived.

“Violet!” a familiar voice called her name.

“Wait, what a surprise? What are you doing here?”

“I arrived to see you. Have you already forgotten?” the young man asked.

Oh. Suzy, who was now staring at Dylan with those smoky eyes, had reminded her that she was supposed to meet him today. Was this young lady so lustful that she had silly thoughts about another man when she was about to marry?

“Mother!” Anne called her again as a reminder, and she found herself dropping her down, which seemed to relieve Dylan.

“Are you Dylan Dark?” Suzy inquired of Dylan.

“I am, indeed. You must be Susan Grant.”

“Do you recognize me?” Suzy asked curiously with a smug in her tone.

“Who doesn't? After all, you are Damon's fiancée. Everyone is aware of this,”
Dylan responded in a cynical tone.

She couldn't help but smile; it appeared as if Dylan was attempting to block out her younger sister.

“Oh! How did you come to know this witch?”

That little bastard just went aboard, she was about to lift her hand when Dylan rushed over towards her and did the unexpected. Something she never expected to happen to her or allow someone to do to her in this lifetime. She just stood there frozen as Dylan kissed her; she couldn't fight the kid.

With each passing second, she felt helpless and defeated as Dylan continued to rummage her lips with his. He kissed her again, but this time he put his hand behind her back. He smiled as he turned to face her younger sister.

“She is my witch, my lover, and my woman.”

“What? Her! It's not possible,” Suzy nearly went crazy witnessing such a shocking scene. How can it possibly be true?

“Why?”

“Take a look at her. She has a child who is old enough to be your age,” she pointed at Anne angrily, fuming with so much hatred.

“So? What does any of this have to do with you? I don't care what you say, she's mine, and you have no say in the matter.”

“What is your motivation for fighting for her? What are your reasons for liking her?” she still couldn’t take it that such a freak will find someone who wants her.

“She is lovely, wealthy, and feminine. Look at her; don't you think she's unlike any other woman? I'd kill for her, and I'd die for her. Why? Because she is deserving.
I love that strange white hair; to me, it just shows how different and special my woman is from the rest, like you, who don't have anything special to show other than spending your siblings' money and stepping on people who made you who you are right now,” Dylan said, patting her back slowly and smoothly to calm her down.

No one had ever stood up for her like that before; though the words were sweet and touching, she knew he was only saying them to put Suzy in her place. She looked at Suzy, who appeared to be too dumbfounded to say anything.

“Anne, please contact Suzy's security detail to escort her back home,” Dylan said, taking command of the situation as if he owned it and was the Master of the house.

Anne just nodded when she looked at Violet and Dylan.

Suzy was escorted nicely out of the club tongue-tied without saying anything as if the cat had gotten her tongue. She had finally met her match and one day she was going to repay them for the humiliation she had gone through.

“That was.....” she didn't let him finish because she was about to hit him, very angry about everything that had just happened earlier.

“Really, Violet?”

“You don't just go around torturing people.”

“You aren't just any ordinary person. You were my woman for a moment,” he shamelessly retorted.

“And now what?”

“Are you still my woman?” he smirked. This little jerk was just too much, and she couldn’t do anything to him at all.

“I wish I could just put you in a deep freeze right now,” she gritted her teeth as she said it

“Never do that again! That nearly killed me; I thought I'd never be able to move again,” Dylan was so scared when he heard that.

“You earned it.”

“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice concerned.

“All right with what?” she asked as if she had no idea of what he was talking about.

“I'm fine with your little sister saying all those negative things about you.”

“I'm kind of used to it. I wanted to teach her a lesson, but you both stopped me. I should severely punish you for that.”

“I didn't want you to do something you'd be sorry for the rest of your life.”

“The only thing I regret is trusting a bad and dirty person, but I am who I am today because of that person. So, I don't have anything to complain about.”

“Can you tell me what happened to you?”

“What gives you the right to care?”

“Because I'm entrusting my mother and myself to your care.”

“Oh! There is still that, and thanks to you, I now know how you should compensate me.”

“How?”

“Anne, please bring me my ball.”

“Just a minute,” Anne said as she exited the room.

“What's the point of bringing a ball instead of the contract?”

“My contract, my way,” Violet said as she walked over to the couch to rest.

“Give me something to drink and make something simple to eat. There's only an hour until the club opens,” Violet said to the server.

“Yes, ma'am,” he replied, and he got to work.

“I like how your employees’ pay attention to you.”

“Do you think they'd do it if I wasn't paying them?”

“Don't tell me you don't have any devoted workers!”

“Yes, I have. I'm simply stating the facts. It's not like it's a secret how people perceive me; even my family can't stand me.”

“I like you.”

“Is that why you kissed me?”

“Ah, yes, about that. “I.........”

“Don't bother, the ball is here.”

When Anne arrived with the crystal ball, she asked Dylan to take a seat because he was still standing.

“Anne, go check on the food; I'm hungry, especially after all that commotion.”

"It'd be a surprise if you weren't," Anne said, smiling.

“Put your hand on the ball, you,” she instructed.

“Why?”

“We need to sign the contract, Dee; you said you'd do anything, right?”

“I did, indeed.”

“Then go ahead and do it.”

She watched as he placed his hand on the ball, which ignited it. She closed her eyes and said a short mantra before opening them, “remove your hand right now.”

“Yes, ma'am.”

A light beamed up at that moment, and the contract appeared.

“I have both of our signatures, and now I'm going to write the contract's details. Keep in mind that the consequences of breaching the contract are severe.”

"Yes, ma'am."
