CHAPTER 19

It was his fault that he arrived now. She had finally finished her meal.

“Dylan, go spend some time with your mother. We'll leave tonight as soon as I finish my work here. Anne, please accompany me,” she said.

When she entered her office, the congressman rose to greet her. She had known this man for a decade before he became a congressman; he was a lowly politician with no funds or support but look at him now. Time truly flies.

“What a surprise, Congressman? I'm trying to sift through my mind to figure out why you're here, but I've hit a brick wall.”

“Don't make fun of me, Violet. Can't I just drop by occasionally?”

“Don't you think I'd be a fool to believe that?”

“You got me. I have a major problem, and you are the only person who comes to mind.”

“Go ahead and tell me, I have another appointment later.”

“All right, it's my mother. She is ill.”

“Isn't it normal for everyone to be sick?” she wondered.

“It is, but when the doctors, no matter who is diagnosing her, can't find the problem, I'm on the verge of losing her.”

“What do you expect from me?”

“Please heal my mother. I promise to give you whatever you want.”

“You understand you can't back out of something like this.”

“I understand.”

“Take your mother back home and I will visit your place tomorrow when I’m back on the mainland. There should be no doctors or nurses present, and I will sincerely consider what you will owe me.”

“Thank you so much.”

“Don't, you are free to leave and spend time with your family now that we have finished here.”

“I'll wait for your arrival,” he said as he exited the room.

She was now alone with Anne, who seemed to be lost in thought.

“What's the matter, my child?” Violet asked seeing that lost look on Anne’s face.

“Nothing, I was just thinking about how desperate he was to come. He clearly understands the rules; he loves his mother so much.”

“Don't you think so?”

“You know I looooove you.”

“I know, I'm just playing a joke on you.”

“I'll go tell the pilot to get ready. When would you like to leave?” she asked.

“Around five o'clock, after they've eaten something.”

“All right, then, I'll ho. So, how about you?”

“Don't worry about me; I'm going for a walk.”

Dylan was going insane after not seeing her for more than ten hours and decided to go look for her at the mansion. He met Anne, who informed him that she was taking a bath, but instead of retreating, he was simply curious and went there, only to be caught.

Violet chastised him, and in the end, he had to suffer because he had never changed a woman after her bath before. Looking at her nakedness, that body that was more beautiful than any woman he had ever seen.

Aside from changing her, he had to assist her in applying lotion and drying her hair. He couldn't believe she hadn't even flinched after all that. He had a great time with her, and the only time he was naked was when he was sleeping with her.

The idea of having a naked woman and not sleeping with her was novel and exciting. That night, they were leaving the island, and his phone had been turned off. He didn't want anyone bothering him at that time.

He'd gone back to his mother's cottage after Violet had a visitor and she'd made him some clothes. They were exquisitely crafted and perfectly fit him.

“Thank you, Mom.”

“You are most welcome. It's almost time for you to go.”

“It is, indeed. I'll return one day and pay you a proper visit.”

“I'm delighted, son. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that I made a new set of
Violet's clothes. I'll accompany you to the mansion to present it to her. I haven't expressed my gratitude to her for what she did.”

“All right, then, we'll leave together.”

His mother assisted him in packing his belongings, and then she took Violet's white clothes and the two of them went to the mansion together. When they arrived, they were greeted by Anne.

“Maria! What a shocker! What are you two doing here?”

“I'd like to see your mother. Is she in?”

“Mother is at the fishpond right now.”

“All right, I'll go to her. Take these clothes, which I made.”

“I had almost forgotten about them, thanks for coming with them. I'll go inside to pack, and you can find her at the pond,” he was grateful.

“OK, thanks,” his mother said as she turned to face him, “I'll go alone. Why don't you do something else while I go talk to her?”

“All right, I'll go have a chat with Anne.”

“All right, don't bother her.”

“I'm not going to.”

His mother had gone to the pond, and he had gone inside the mansion. He looked for Anne and discovered her in Violet's room.

“What brings you here? I was under the impression you were going to the pond with your mother.”

“Not really, why should I bother them when they want to talk about something private? I'd rather hang out with people my own age.”

“Is that right?”

“Maybe, do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?”

“Just take a shot.”

“When and how did you meet your mother?” he asked.

“Are you sure you want to know?” Anne dragged her words as she looked at this young man who came into their lives like a hurricane.

“Yes, your mother can be a frightening woman at times, but I've noticed she's not all bad. So, I'm trying to really understand her so I can know who I'm serving.”

“All right, I'll tell you everything.”

He couldn't believe it; how could people treat a childlike that after robbing her of everything? He couldn't help but laugh when he heard Violet had threatened them at such a young age; that was more like her.

“Are you laughing?”

“I'm just happy; please don't misinterpret it. She is such a wonderful woman; I did not make a mistake in entrusting my life to her.”

“Only time will tell, but she is fantastic regardless of what others say.”

“She is, indeed. Is it okay if I ask another question?” he asked.
