CHAPTER 60

"Man, slow down. What's the matter with you?"

"I need to relax. I've been feeling a little stressed lately."

"Is that Violet?"

"It was the wedding and everything. Besides, I'm not particularly good at keeping secrets from her for such an extended period."

"You'll be fine. Why don't you keep your distance? Find something to do so you won't be caught."

"I think it's a good idea. That is something I will do. Did you bring them with you?"

"Yes, I nearly forgot," Laura said, pulling a box from her coat and handing it to him, "I chose one suitable for a couple; I hope she likes it."

"I hope so, too," he said, opening the box and inspecting the bracelets.

"Has there been any progress with the wedding so far?"

"From what I've heard, everything is going according to plan, so there's nothing to worry about."

"We only have three weeks left. Are you not worried?"

"I'm going insane, but there's nothing I can do about it. I guess I'll have to pay a visit to Tawland soon."

"How about taking advantage of this opportunity to go there?"

"Are you escorting Leah? It's logical. I'll make use of it."

"Now relax and order some drinks."

"I'll get to it."

He ordered more cocktails and started drinking with Laura, talking, and laughing as usual. They were having the time of their lives when someone abruptly cut them off.

"I can't believe what I'm seeing!" Suzy screamed directly into his ears.

"I'd appreciate it if you could watch your manners, Mrs. Hillary."

"You're having a good time in Violet's club with another girl. Are you not embarrassed by yourself?"

"I should have asked you that. Are you proud of yourself now that you've arrived, despite all the trouble you've caused Violet? I would never set foot here if I were
you."

"I'm going to tell Violet what you're up to." Suzy continued to speak.

What was the matter with this girl? She wouldn't be here throwing air if she knew what was going to happen to her family. When water was thrown in his face, he ignored her and continued to drink with Laura.

He couldn't hold back his rage, so he stood up, but the guards stopped him. He was enraged, and he had no idea what to do when someone screamed so loudly that everyone closed their ears.

He'd seen a lot of fictional movies but seeing something like this in person was priceless. Violet had done a lot of crazy things in the past, but this was the first time he had seen her so enraged. But how did she get to the club when she had left her sleeping companion at the mansion?

He stood there and watched as Suzy's bodyguards collided with the walls, others flew all over the place, and Suzy was lifted into the sky, much to his surprise. She was screaming and frantically kicking her legs in the air.

The few people in the club took out their phones to take photos, but their phones were thrown against the walls.

Laura clutched against him as Violet made her way to Suzy, as she truly resembled a witch at this point.

"I believe I told you a few days ago not to mess with me. I promised to freeze you and remove your tongue, but you must have thought I was joking. I used to think of you as my younger sister, but thanks to our wonderful parents, it's now the other way around. You barge into my territory, insult my guests, and throw water on my fiancé even though we have nothing in common! Are you looking for death?"

"Please don't send me out, I apologize. Please, Violet!" Suzy kept pleading, but Violet didn't appear to have started yet.

"Are you all right, Laura?" Violet inquired.

"I'm terrified right now, but I'll be fine."

"That's good," Violet said, turning back to Suzy, who was still floating in the air, "you're lucky she's fine, or I'd do worse than what I'm doing now."

Some of the guards awoke and attempted to rush to her location but were stopped by Violet's guards.

"Boys, this is not something you should get involved in. You will be severely injured if you do that," she warned, dropping Suzy to the ground.

"I'm not going to do it again," Suzy pleaded.

"Please accept my apologies to Dylan and his best friend."

"Is he his best friend?"

"Do you not have one? I'm sorry for your situation. What have you been doing your entire life? I'm sorry for your situation. Now, please apologize!" she yelled at Suzy.

"I apologize for being hasty. Please forgive me for not knowing."

"Just because you married into the president's family doesn't give you the right to brag in front of me. You can do that to anyone, but don't try it on me. I will avenge every slight you have done to me, and it will not be limited to just you; many people will be involved. Violet does things in this manner. Make a mental note of that, or I'll dig your grave myself."

"Come on, babes, don't frighten her. She has heard it, and I doubt she will do it again."

"I hope so," she said before calling out to Anne, who had just entered with Leah, "call him now!"

Things were heating up, and Violet was not going to cool down any time soon, so he directed a waiter to bring Violet a large bowl of ice cream.

[Hello, Violet.]

“I thought we agreed to keep our differences to ourselves. However, I believe that leaving your daughter-in-law to run around like a wild dog and start biting what is mine will sour the last rope of our friendship," Violet said.

Violet said before she hung up the phone, "we had an agreement so please take care of your family, if I ever see her again in my club or near my house you won't like it at all.”

Dylan wasted no time in handing her the bowl. She smiled at him and took a spoonful before turning back to face Suzy.

"You may have heard or assumed, but today I demonstrated how much of a freak I am. I could do this all day, but I won't expose my baby to such cruelty. After all, I'm still a mother. Suzy doesn't ever come back here or call me.

If you know where to get something, this is not the place for you. If I ever figure out why you came here, I'm going to cut your ankles," those last words did it for Suzy because she didn't need to be told twice.
