CHAPTER 52

He was preoccupied with exams, and Violet was out of the country. Violet was surprised that Anne stayed behind to look after Leah. He was surprised to learn that
Violet had left the country due to Mike, her brother. Why did they injure her if they knew they'd end up crawling back to her?

It irritated him greatly, but he couldn't do anything about it. He planned to take advantage of the opportunity while Violet was away, hoping that everything would go smoothly when she returned.

It was Saturday morning, and everyone was at home, making it easier for him to get the assistance he required. He knocked on Anne's door, and she quickly opened it for him.

“What do you want?”

“I need your help with something.”

“Shoot.”

"I'd like to propose to Violet, but I'm not sure where to begin, and she'll be back tomorrow. I'm completely lost right now."

"Did you finally think it through?"

"Did you know?"

"I'd be a moron if I didn't."

"And how about Violet?"

"I don't believe she is aware. She's been swamped recently, so she could have missed it."

"All right, then. My mother, as you know, enjoys being pampered, so let's go out and blow as much money as we can."

“Okay, I'll go get the car.”

"I'll bring Leah over."

“All right, I'll meet you outside.”

He left Anne and went outside to the parking lot before driving to the front to wait for the girls to emerge.

They went shopping at the mall. When they arrived, Anne took him to various shops and boutiques. They selected many items and placed orders for the remainder to be delivered the following day before Violet returns. They ordered white roses, a two-tiered cake, and other items.

“Are you certain this will suffice?"

"It's sufficient for a proposal. Would you like to throw an engagement party if you succeed?"

"I don't want to squander my time on that. During the break, I intend to have a wedding. I want to make her mine before someone else takes her away."

“Snatch? Do you think that's how my mother is?"

"No way, Anne. I just want to be able to live with her legally and properly love her. I'm not sure. All I want is for her to be my wife."

"Thank you, I was merely joking with you. Everyone knows how much you adore her, so don't entertain such thoughts. She will thaw you."

"Don't say anything like that. I despise it."

"I understand, that's why I said it."

"Can we go get some ice cream, Sis Anne?"

"Would you like one?"

"Yes, and the ice cream at home has been consumed."

“Already?”

"Yes, I finished it yesterday, and mother will chastise me when she finds out. Can we just get some so she's not mad at me when she returns?"

“Okay. Let's go shopping for whatever you want. I'll miss you when you go to Tawland."

"You'll pay me a visit."

"Sure, we'll visit you. Mother will be heartbroken without you."

"I will miss her as well, but I will return."

"I understand. We'll be waiting for you, and you never know. When you return, you might find yourself with a new brother or sister."

"I'm looking for a bother. Can a mother adopt a child?"

"Are you ready for a younger sibling?"

"Some of my classmates have siblings."

"Are you sure I'm not one of them?"

"You are, but without me, you will be lonely."

"You matured well. Wonderful work, Leah."

"Violet is my mother, and you are my sister. I simply learned from the best."

"Like our mother's daughter, you're well-spoken. Let's go get some ice cream."

He smiled at the thought of having a child with Violet, and he wondered what it would be like. They went to the supermarket and shopped like a happy family.
Violet smirked at the old man as she sat across from him.

"What did you just say?" the man demanded angrily.

"You heard me, sir. I want you to halt the takeover and tell your people to leave, or I will do as I promised."

"You're not allowed to do that."

"Would you like to give it a shot?" she asked, looking at her lawyer, "make the call."

Her lawyer called and handed her the phone.

"This is me. Please go ahead and do what I asked you," she said before hanging up the phone.

She smiled as she looked at the old man.

"What exactly did you do?"

"We'll have to wait a few minutes to see. Chairman, I don't play games. If you see me here in person, it means I'm serious about my work. Don't let me abuse my
power."

"I'm not going to fall for those petty tricks."

"Blame yourself then," she said, returning her gaze to her lawyer, "is it done?"

The lawyer continued to stare at the tablet before exclaiming, "It's done, look at this."

"Don't say I didn't warn you," she said as she took the tablet from her and handed it to the old man.

It was advantageous to have money and extensive connections, as she did. It was so simple to fund dirt on the company that wanted to swallow Mike's company, and because he refused to cooperate, she was forced to go all the way.

"You can't do this to me!" exclaimed the man, refusing to accept reality.

"This is just the beginning. Should I tell them to dump some more? With just this one video, I've already seen your share price drop, and if I keep dumping them, you'll go bankrupt. Do you want something like that to happen to you? Consider what the prosecutor's office will do to you. I can already see it in my mind."

"How come you're doing this?"

"Does it make a difference now?"

I'm giving you until tomorrow to respond, and don't even think about resigning or coming up with some tricks. I still have a lot of information on you. My people will send you some files; please read them carefully and make an informed decision. If you do not cooperate, I will purchase your company on my own.

"Remember that!" she said as she stood up.
