CHAPTER 32

"Of course, let's try an omelet. She absolutely loves eggs," the chef suggested.

"Thank you, sir," he said as he turned to face Violet, "baby, can you go and wait in the lounge while I cook?"

"I need proof that you're the one who's cooking. I'm not leaving, so hurry up before I make you cook something more difficult," she refused to leave.

"I won't force you to leave," he said quickly, turning to Leah, who couldn't stop laughing, "Leah. Could you please assist me by offering your mother a glass of juice? Please assist me here."

“Yes, you're already struggling. I'll do it."

He smiled and turned his attention to the chef, who gave him instructions, which he carried out one by one until the omelets were ready. He finished by sprinkling some cheese on top and bringing the plate to her.

"Try it," he said hesitantly.

He stood there watching as she cut the omelet and bit into it. She didn't say anything for a while before taking another and smiling.

"You are a quick learner, but you can do better. It's edible," she said, continuing to eat the food he made for her.

He winked at Leah when he noticed her giggling again.

"Thank you," he said to the chef, who smiled back.

"You are most welcome. If she eats something then we're good," the chef replied.

"What do you want to eat for dinner, Mother?"

"Make whatever you want, but please make some sausages for me. I'm in the mood for meat."

"Will get to it," the chef said as Violet finished her meal, and they finally left the kitchen.

"How about we go for a walk in the garden?" he suggested.

"Sure," she said.

He took her hand again and started walking with her. It felt great to be with her if only he could do it every day.

"Please tell me, what's the matter with you?"

“Nothing.”

"Do you want me to look for it myself, or do you want me to make it easy and spill
it?"

"All right, I'll tell you. All of my accounts were frozen by my father."

“Wow, you, impoverished brat! Are you moping?"

"Not at all, I will do as you have instructed. I'm going to become my own person."

"Do you want to work?"

“You have one?”

"I'll think about it."

"Come on babes, let's go."

"I'll think about it if you behave."

"I swear I'll do whatever you want."

"All right, then. Anne will prepare something for you."

"Thank you, babes. I have something to tell you before I forget."

"Is it good or bad news?"

"Most likely good."

"Please tell me."

"Do you recall my report on you?" he asked her with a hint of a reminder.

“Yes, what about it?"

"I passed it, I received such high marks that even if I fail another exam, I will still receive a pass for my final," he told her happily.

"I knew you could do it. You just need a little push to keep going and produce good marks," she spoke in a complimenting tone.

"As long as I'm with you, I can accomplish a lot," he agreed with her.

"That is why you should treat me well."

"I will worship you for the rest of my life.”

“Can you tell me about the other news?" she asked him.

"Oh, my professor would like to meet you," he told her.

"Can you tell me his name?"

“Professor Brown.”

“Oh him! I see, I'll make time to meet with him," she didn’t reject him but accepted.

"Are you familiar with him?"

"I've heard of him; he is a wonderful man. Learn as much as you can from him."

"Sure, ma'am. Also, my friends are coming, and they can't wait to meet you."

"Would you like me to meet your friends?"

"If you want, sure. I'd be delighted if you did because they're more like family to me."

"On one condition and I will meet with them."

"Please tell me."

"Learn to cook so I can eat the food you cook every day."

“I will attend the lessons. Are you happy now?"

"Of course not. So, where are your friends?"

"Let me check in on them," he said, pulling out his phone and dialing Laura's number.

"Hey, where are you, girl?"

"We've just arrived at the club. Where are you?”

"I've arrived at the mansion; I'll call you in a minute."

"All right," Laura said, and he hung up.

"They're here," he said, looking at Violet, who was still staring at him, "how should we proceed?"

"Bring them here, and while you're at it, tell the chef to prepare more food for your friends."

"All right, I'll be right back. Wait for me," he said as he lightly kissed her on the lips.

"I love you."

"I love you as well."

He drove away from the mansion and towards the club, greeting the guards at the gate that he was now familiar with. He arrived at the club in less than five minutes and found his friends there waiting for him.

"Wow, that was quick!" Taylor said as he walked in.

"The mansion is not far away. Let's go since you're all here," he urged them.

"What are we going to do there?"

"Didn't you want to meet Violet?" he asked.

"We did, indeed."

"Because she isn't feeling well, she invited you to dinner," he told them.

"How thoughtful of her."

"Let's go look at this mansion. I've been wanting to see the famous mansion for a long time."

"All right, let's go. I'll take the lead," he said as he led his friends out of the club.

They all get into their cars, and he drives ahead of them, leading them to the mansion. Leah was waiting for him outside when they arrived.

“Dylan!”

"Come here, kid," he said as he got out of the car.

Leah dashed over to him, and he scooped her up.

"You know I like you, don't you?"

"I'm aware, but who are they?" the little girl asked.

"Oh, these are my closest companions. Taylor, Sam, and Laura," he said, looking around at his friends, “this is Violet's youngest daughter, Leah.”

"It's her daughter!" they couldn’t believe it.

“What? Isn't she entitled to one?" Dylan was frosty when he asked.

"No, I'm just surprised; nice to meet you, Leah. Please look after us tonight."

"It's also a pleasure to meet you. Inside, Mother is waiting for you."

“Okay, let's go inside," he said, leading them in.
