CHAPTER 40
“Honey!”
"All right, all right! I'm going to stop talking about it."
She couldn't stand listening any longer, so she went to Qontessah's house and trained until she was exhausted and couldn't walk properly. They began to be nice to her after that incident, so she pushed the conversation from her mind.
That would be a lie, she reasoned to herself. It's impossible not to be their daughter after the way they've treated her all these years. She wouldn't have been so hurt if she had known it was all true.
Lucy was born after another four years of waiting. This was a joyous occasion for everyone, including her, but due to the birth of her former younger siblings, her parents became even more estranged from her.
It was as if she didn't exist, and coincidentally, her hair turned white during those years, as did the peach blossom tattoo. She learned to defend herself and fend for herself thanks to Qontessah.
She transformed herself into a very powerful and wealthy woman whom even royalty admired. But how unlucky was she to be abandoned by them at this time?
When they arrived at the mansion, the masseuse was already waiting for her. She was going to relax and let the masseuse take care of everything. After all, she had a royal birthday party to look forward to, and she wasn't going to let anything to do with gambling get in the way.
They assisted her in lying down, and she closed her eyes and let the women have their way with her. They were fantastic, and she was glad she chose to do this.

She smiled as she greeted Her Royal Highness Queen Garbera of Tawland's kingdom. Violet and her family had only been in the palace for about thirty minutes. The Queen was not as intimidating as the press made her out to be she appeared calm and easy to get along with.
“Thank you for such a gracious reception, Your Majesty.”
"Please, no titles; they will not bring us any closer together. For the time being, just refer to me as Queen."
"I will do as you request, my queen."
"Since you're here, I'll accompany you to your quarters. Nia regrets that she was unable to personally greet you."
"Did she have an accident?"
"She's on an errand, but she'll be here for her birthday, and you'll see her in the morning."
"It's a relief if she's okay," she said as she walked alongside the queen.
"This will be your quarters for the duration of your stay," she explained, pointing to the suite in front of her.
"I appreciate it," she said.
"I can't express how grateful I am."
"Because it's late, go freshen up. In thirty minutes, I'll have someone call you. I'd like to speak with you."
"I'll get ready then," she said as she bid the queen farewell and entered the suite.
She entered after the maids opened the door for her. The place was magnificent, and it appeared to have been decorated to her personal taste. It was as if she'd entered a white room; even her master bedroom wasn't this white.
She smiled and seemed to be in a good mood. Someone somewhere in a faraway land remembered her and was trying to make her happy even though she was only a visitor. Her bath was already prepared, so it didn't take long for her to get ready before the queen summoned her to the salon.
She was escorted there by a bodyguard, and it was just her and the queen. Because she had already eaten dinner on her private jet, the maids were dismissed after bringing in some refreshments and snacks.
"Please make yourself at ease; it's just the two of us."
"I will give it my all."
"All right, I hope you don't think of me as a woman who likes to meddle in other people's affairs, but I just can't help myself."
"Please ask whatever you want, and I promise to respond as best I can if I can."
"I appreciate how straightforward you are. Then I'll ask you a question; can you tell me a little bit about yourself?"
"Is that it?"
"Yes, I just want to know what kind of woman piqued my baby princess's interest."
"All right, I'm........."
Violet began to narrate her story, leaving out important details such as the rape case and Qontessah. That was her secret, which she would not reveal to strangers. She also happened to tell her about her current family situation, which enraged the elderly lady. This was something worth seeing; she was even more enraged than she had been the day before.
"They're not human. How are they able to do so? They could have simply buried the story with them after thirty-three years. So, you've decided to drop their name?"
"I can't spoil their name, so I'm currently considering which name to use as a last name. After all, it will be a name that my children will use, so I need to think about it carefully."
"Don't worry, I'll help you with that," the queen said, looking at the time, "we had forgotten about the time. Go back and rest; I'll see you all at the birthday banquet tomorrow and we'll continue this conversation."
"All right, I'll go back and retire to bed. I'll see you at the banquet," she said as she stood up and exited the salon.
She returned to her room, and the maid was about to assist her to bed when she inquired, "do you know where they put Dylan?"
"Indeed, ma'am. Would you like to go?"
“No, bring him over here."
"I'll go and get him."
She examined herself in the mirror; a few wrinkles had appeared because of her stress. She hadn't spoken to Dylan much since that day. She was aware that he was concerned, but she didn't want to add to his concerns. There was a knock on the door, which was then opened, and the maid entered with Dylan.
"You are free to leave," she told the maid.
"Good evening, ma'am."
"Goodnight, Jane," she said as she walked out of her room.
Dylan approached her and put his hands on her shoulders. She held one of his hands in hers and looked him in the eyes in the mirror.
"I missed you," she exclaimed.
"Me as well. Do you want me to assist you in going to bed?"
"No, I want you to sleep with me here."
