CHAPTER 64
It wasn't a long dress, but it was red and just above the knees, and it looked great on her.
"I love it," she said as she looked at herself.
"I am delighted you do. Now that you've decided you like it, let's return to your room and finish you up. I'm taking you on a date."
"Is it a date?"
"Yes, we've never been on one."
"Can you tell me where you're taking me?"
"It's not the best date, but I have some V.I.P tickets to a car race. I heard it's
possible to make a lot of money."
"Is there still a date?"
"Of course not. Don't you think that adding money on top makes it even more ideal for a businesswoman like you?"
"You got me there, I'll need to put on some shoes and bring some cash. If I'm going to be successful, I need to make a name for myself."
"That's my girl," he said as he returned her to her room.
He went into her closet and found a nice black five-inch heel for her and put them on. He chose some head accessories and pinned them to her head, and she was ready to go.
Violet took a few steps back after opening the safe, which he had never seen before. How can someone keep such a large sum of money in their home? The cash was neatly packed; there could be millions stashed inside.
"You've never seen money before?" Violet asked.
"I have a lot, but not all of it in one place."
"It's your lucky day," she said as she pulled out a few bundles, "because I'm all done, let's go on that date."
He led her outside to his waiting car, and even though it was a date, they didn't go alone; they brought her personal bodyguard and a few others with them.
He arrived at the racetrack an hour later, where Taylor awaited him.
"Is he also here?" Violet questioned.
"Yes, he assisted me in getting the tickets," he said as he helped her out of the car.
"Violet, you look lovely. You look great in red," Taylor said.
"I'm surprised but thank you. I don't want to waste any time being out here, so let's go in."
"Sure, I'll let you two go on your date."
"Sure, thank you and I'll see you later."
Violet was the center of attention when he led her inside. She was a stunning woman, but the fact that all eyes were on her made him regret coming here with her. He took their seats and sat down.
Violet said something unexpected as the first race was about to begin and everyone was placing their bets.
"How come you're saying that?"
"Everyone is betting on that red guy, but I don't think he'll win."
"I've heard he's a champion and an expert in this field."
"This is precisely why I'm betting on the guy in black.”
"Are you certain?"
"Don't you believe me?"
"I have faith in you."
"Then have faith in your fiancée, Mr. Dark."
"Of course, my love. Let's get started."
When everyone else was betting on the guy in red, Violet and her friends bet on the guy in black. The other people looked at them and even laughed, but Violet ignored them completely. Everyone cheered as the race began, and so on. Violet was sipping her juice and enjoying every moment of it.
"We've never taken a picture of ourselves before. Do you want to take one?"
"Would you like pictures?"
"After all, this is our first date. We can't have reporters constantly photographing us, can we?"
"You have a point," he said, pulling out his phone and starting to take selfies.
When he heard people cheering, he was busy taking selfies. He came to a halt to investigate what had occurred. The guy in black had won, just as Violet had predicted.
"I warned you," she explained.
"From now on, I will pay attention to you."
"How about you take our money? There's still a long way to go," Violet said.
He smiled as he watched the other people express their disappointment. They were laughing at him before, but now they weren't. When he went to collect his winnings, he noticed the shocked expression on the person who had given him the money. He simply returned to the booth with his money.
By the end of the races, they had a bag full of cash that was at least three times the amount they had brought in the first place. Someone even admitted to cheating, but they were later shamed and apologized. They left the racetrack and went to his father's hotel, where he had reserved a table for dinner.
She had never been on a date before, so she was unfamiliar with the dating scene. She loved it like a child, and red wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. It was nice to feel different by wearing something new.
She had a lot of fun at the racetrack, and she was able to multiply her money in such a short time by using her abilities.
Dylan drove her to his father's hotel after the race, where he had reserved a table for dinner. They ordered their food and drank some red wine while they ate. Dylan drove her out of the hotel after dinner, and before they got into the car, someone called her. She came to a halt and turned around to see a face she had seen before at the museum.
"I apologize for the delay. I just wanted to thank you for believing in me since I saw you."
"It's not a problem. Did you find anything?"
“Yes. I'm now an intern at the Heritage Club, and if everything goes well, I'll be a permanent employee in six months."
"Congratulations and keep up the good work."
"Thank you very much, ma'am."
She nodded and climbed into the car.
"My lovely woman is so famous these days that I'm jealous."
"Stop acting like a child. What are we going to do next?"
“Oh! That's the gist of it. Tonight, I have one more destination."
"Which is it?"
"You'll see when we get there," Dylan said as he drove away.
Dylan drove for about thirty minutes before coming to a halt and parking in a parking space. Violet was escorted out of the car, and he took her hand in his.
"How did we get here?"
"This is a well-known location. Look," he said, and she saw the fountains shooting up into the sky. She was always busy, so seeing such fascinating scenes like this was unusual for her.
