Chapter Fifty One

“I would like to see you try!” She said

Damian moved close to the circle and looked at her.

“Are you really going to risk your life just for someone that doesn’t even remember you anymore? She doesn’t know you and she would never end up with you! Why are you doing this to yourself?” She said
“She is trying to get into your head! Damian, don’t let her” Grace said
“I can stay in Annabelle and we would be happy together. You get to love your Annabelle and I get to live in her. Everybody goes away happy” she said
“She is not Annabelle of you’re still in her” Damian said to her

Grace started to chant some words and Annabelle fell to her knees. A black cloud rose above her and Grace looked at Damian

“No matter what happens, you have to fight her. She would take the face of Annabelle and she would feel like Annabelle. It is Annabelle but it’s not all Annabelle. You have to win that fight so that Annabelle’s energy can return back to her body. You are the only hope she has” Grace said

Annabelle’s body started to levitate and she screamed before dropping on the floor. Grave removed the demon from Annabelle and she was forced into Damian’s body. Annabelle laid lifeless on the floor while Damian fell to the floor immediately the demon entered his body. He gradually started to turn grey

“He is desecrating!” Justin screamed at Grace
“I am aware! I’m not blind Justin!” she screamed back
“Is that supposed to happen?” Raphael asked
“I honestly do not know” she said to him
“What on earth do you know then?” Alex asked her
“I know that the magic is too strong for his body to fight it!” she said

Sally gasped back to life and Justin ran to her. He hugged her whole she was still trying to gasp for breath

“What on earth is going on?” Sally asked
“Damian just got possessed by some witch and we are hoping she doesn’t kill us all” Justin said
“Is he desecrating?” Sally asked
“He is, and so am I” Justin said as he fell back, not being able to feel his legs
“What the fuck is going on? Sally screamed at Grace
“I have no idea! I should be asking you!” Grace said
“They are linked. Justin is linked to Damian. Their life force is combined because Justin wouldn’t exist without Damian! So if Damian dies, Justin dies!” Alex said
“Then fund a way to unlink them. I don’t care what happens or how you do it! I will not lose Justin to this insanity!” Sally said
“No!” Grace said back
“What do you mean by no?” Sally said, her eyes already growing dark and her fangs coming out
“I said no. I would not unlink any of them!” Grace said


Sally came at her and Grace waved her hand in the air, sending her flying across the room

“This is a battle you can’t win!” Grace said
“That is enough! The both of you should quit it. It wouldn’t get us anywhere!” Alex yelled at the both of them
“He has a point! We can’t start to fight ourselves now!” Raphael said
“I can’t unlink them. The magic is way too powerful for Damian’s body to hold and that is why his body is desecrating! If I send Justin into Damian’s mind, maybe they can have a shot at winning this fight. Their bodies and mind combined can win this. It can handle the magic, that is why Justin is desecrating at a much slower pace than Damian is. Together, they can contain the magic. If I unlink them, Damian would never make it alive and if he doesn’t, Annabelle would never make it too!” Grace explained
“Then send me in” Justin said to her
“Babe?” sally said
“C’mon, Sal, this is the only chance we have at this. I am not going to let Damian die in vain. If he dies, Annabelle dies too. I can’t let that happen to the both of them. I would have to help him. Things would get really messy out here so fight out here and protect our bodies” Justin said to her

She nodded at him and kissed him as tears rolled down her face. She looked around and stood up. While grace sent him into Damian’s mind. He drifted off into his mind and when he opened his eyes, everywhere was dark

“Justin, if you can hear me, it’s Grace. I can’t send you in without communicating with you. I need you to focus on my voice. You have to find Damian. You know him better than anyone else. Where would he be? Think hard because he is running out of time, and so are you” he heard

Damian closed his eyes as he felt another being take over his body. This was a feeling that he could relate to. It was one of his greatest nightmares, coming to haunt him again. He felt himself suffocate and he started to take deep breaths to get a hold of himself and he opened his eyes. Everywhere was as bright as day and he was back in his house at Cordina. He looked around to understand what was going on when he found out that he was in his bed. He got up and walked around for a while. The house was empty and he was confused. Was he not supposed to face his girlfriend? Where is she? He went out of his house and everything was the exact replica of the real world. He knew that this was magic messing with his mind but he wasn’t bothered. He knew what he had to do and he was going to do it regardless. He heard some arguing coming from the yard and he ran there but it was empty.

“I know you’re here somewhere!” he yelled to nobody in particular, just following his instincts

He got no reply and he continued to search for her. He got really tired and he headed back to the house to get some rest. He was still very confused about everything. He dosed off, living day after day in isolation, looking for Annabelle and whatever demon that possessed her. He knew that she was just trying to get him mad and she was succeeding. Day after day, it was the same routine of waking up, looking for Anna and going back to bed. It was almost like he was stuck in a time loop and it was running him mad. He kept looking for her, knowing she was running out of time. He didn’t have a phone or even a calendar but he was sure that a year had passed already. He had been in that loop for so long that he was starting to give up. He laid on his bed and was about to take a nap when he heard his name. He jumped up from his bed

“Justin?” he said to himself before running out of the house

He looked around. Everything was the same as he was back home.

“Where do you think he is?” he heard Grace’s voice
“I have no idea” he said, even though he was sure that she could not hear him.

He looked around and saw that everything was familiar. He was in Cordina again

“Whatever game this witch is playing, she is going to run Damian mad before he finds a way of defeating her” Justin said to himself

That was her plan. She was going to make him give up before he even had a chance to fight. He rolled his eyes. Where could Damian possibly be? He decided to start his search from the one place he was familiar with, his house. Justin jumped into his wolf form because he could run faster that way and in to time, he was in front of the house but for some reasons, he couldn’t get in. He changed back to his human form and he was shocked to find his clothes intact on his body.

“Damian!” he yelled out

Grace held his hand and looked at him. He was growing pale as the minutes went by.

“We have to find a way to get him out of there, now!” Sally said
“No we can’t!” Grace said
“He would die!” Sally argued
“The process has already started. One thing about magic is that you can’t end it mid way! It doesn’t work like that! If I forcefully pull him out, he would not have enough energy to make it through and he can be stuck in Damian’s mind for the rest of eternity. We don’t want that. We also don’t know the progress he has made in Damian’s mind. We can’t stop him midway. He is too dangerous! Grace said to her
“This was your plan all along? Wasn’t it? You know he is never going to end up with you so you decided to take him away from me, from all of us!” Sally said
