Chapter Sixty Three

“I don’t know how they are here so fast but if they are here and they didn’t go past Raphael and Justin at the gate and Phillip has insiders. You need to clear them out once all of this is over” Beth said to her
“Phillip has insiders, everybody knows that. We just don’t know who they are and if you keep killing them, we wouldn’t find out who they are or how many of them are in the house so you have to be careful” Sally said to her

Beth couldn’t understand why Sally was scolding her in a time like this

“I am supposed to what? Give them hug? I hope you understand that it is either them or us! I can’t let anybody take Anna from Alex, not again. It broke him once and I can’t stand to see him broken!” Beth said to her
“Damian is my brother! Annabelle is a sister to me. I know what it means to lose someone and not know if you are ever going to get them back. It is a pain I can relate to buy we are not killers! If we keep killing everybody, what makes us different from Phillip then? I know that it is their lives or ours but killing was your first option and you didn’t hesitate. Damn, you ripped out his limbs. There are cleaner ways to kill and yes, there are other options” Sally said
“When there are no lives at risk, I would ask for the other options!” Beth said to her

Sally groaned and walked out of the room. Beth was being unreasonable and Sally knew this but she was new to the team and the first thing they all wanted to do was kill Phillip. Was example were they leaving for the rest to follow? What example were they leading with and what was the rest of Cordina doing? Sally sighed and she went to her room. She needed to get her phone. She was on the hallway when someone walked across. She saw the shadow of the person but didn’t see the person. She stopped and turned back. She walked down and someone attacked her out of nowhere. Her eyes grew blood red and she threw the person off her. She growled and her fangs came out. She sped towards the person and threw her down the stairs. She looked at the person and she was sure that it was someone she had seen before, Odette. Sally stood there, confused

“Stand down. I don’t want to have to kill you” Sally said to her
“Kill me? That is crazy. I would kill you. Only one of us gets out of this alive and that is now you!” Odette said to her
“I don’t understand. You are a wolf. Why would you turn your back on your own people and help Phillip?” Sally asked her
“You are a vampire. So tell me, why are you helping the wolves and turning your back on your own father?” Odette asked her back
“My father? He killed my mom! He is not my father. He may have been the second half that made me but he is not my father!” Sally said to her

Odette growled and her eyes glowed. She launched after Sally and Beth sped in front of Sally and pushed her out of the way. She grabbed Odette by her arm and threw her to the other side of the living room

“Beth! What are you doing?” Sally asked
“I am doing what needs to be done. Go back to Damian and Anna and make sure nothing or no one comes close to them. I and Odette need to talk!” Beth said
“You know her?” Sally asked
“Yes, I do. Odette and I come way back we have a lot to talk about” Beth said
“Don’t kill her. Damian would not forgive you for it if you do” Sally said
“I don’t remember asking what Damian would do to me or not. I need you to watch Damian and that is final. Let me handle Odette” she said

Sally looked at her and nodded before speeding to Damian’s room. She locked the door after her. She took a deep breath and hoped that Beth knew what she was doing. She hoped Justin and Raphael were doing okay too.

“So how do you want to do this?” Raphael asked him
“The only way I can” Justin said as his eyes glowed

He jumped into his wolf form and ran into the crowd of angry vampires. He knew he had a greater chance of winning if he was a wolf than if he was human. Raphael stared at him in disbelief and kept looking at the way he fought. He looked at him and ran into the crowd after him, dropping bodies as he moved. He looked ahead and he could see smoke. He didn’t need to be told that something was going on with Philip and Alex but he hoped that Grace would handle it and keep Alex safe

Alex stopped. He thought he was crazy but he was sure that Phillip had grown in size. How was he so big already? He was twice on size. Alex looked at him and he didn’t even look human again. He was something in between a demon and a person.

“You are stupid to try to come and stop me” Phillip said
“I don’t plan on stopping you. I just need to keep you away for a while. It is going to be a full moon tomorrow and you stand no chance against the wolves of Cordina. I am here to offer you a deal” Alex said
“Offer me a deal? That is crazy because I don’t want anything from you. I just want Damian and I would leave you in peace. Give me what I want and nobody has to die” Phillip said to Alex
“Damian is off the table. He is your son whether you like it or not and I am not going to offer him to you as a living sacrifice! Find someone else to feed on. You have done enough damage to Damian!” Alex said to him
“Then you have nothing to offer me” Phillip said as he struck towards Alex

Grace got in the way and she put a shield around her and Alex before pushing it back and pushing Phillip away with him. She looked at Alex

“Are you okay?” she asked him
“Yeah, thanks. That was close. We have no way of defeating him. There is something about the way he speaks, the way he moves. It screams evil and we can’t fight against evil so I gave a plan. I can distract him and you can hurt him from behind when he is not looking. You still have that dagger that you laced with magic right?” Alex asked her
“Yes, I do. What do you have in mind?” Grace asked her
“Once I have his attention, I need you to drive that dagger right into the middle of his back. It would cripple him immediately because that would be an introduction of a new magic into his spine. It would destabilize him and give us enough time to do some real damage but I don’t think he would have around for us to hurt him any further. He would run like the coward that he is” Alex said to Grace

She nodded at him and he stood up from where he had fallen before. He was about to speed off when Grace stopped him. She held his hand

“What you are about to do is extremely dangerous. Are you sure that you don’t want me to distract him?” she asked him
“Yeah, I am. He wants a hybrid and I am one. I am the best bait we have right now. If you get in his way, he would kill you with a snap of his fingers and I don’t want Justin and Damian on my neck for letting you die. I know it is scary but I still have the magic you gave to me. That is more than enough to keep me alive and keep me active long enough for you to get your opportunity. Do not hesitate when you do. My life depends on it. My life is in your hands right now. I just need you to know when to strike. You must not be too early and you must not be too late or else I would die” he said to her

She nodded at him and he sped off. She watched him speed away with all the strength he had. Alex knew that he might not survive this but he knew what he had to do. A tear slipped from his face when he realized that he didn’t say goodbye to Beth or his sister. He felt his feet grow lighter and he felt stronger. He stopped and he looked back. He saw Grace levitate. She was in the air and she was glowing. This was new. He figured that since he had a piece of her energy and power in him, her upgrade meant his upgrade. He smiled and nodded to her and sped off until he found Phillip. Philip groaned and he stopped

“I want to make a deal and you either listen to me or you fight! The choice is yours!” Alex said to him
“Listen to you? I would kill you before you can scream for help!” Phillip said to him
