Chapter Fifty Six

“Now you’re hanging out with other girls after avoiding me for weeks” she said
“Not now Beth!” Alex said
“Not now? You were in someone else’s room! Or you have someone in your room and then another girl is telling you that she has someone on standby incase you what? You want to get rid of me? You can come clean with me and tell me that you are no longer interested in this relationship instead of avoiding me and hooking up with other girls!” She said
“I am not hooking up with anybody else. What the fuck is your problem? I told you I was busy!” Alex said
“Busy with what? Another girl?” she asked
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Who the fuck is Anna?” she screamed at me
“She is my younger sister. She just broke her spine and she can’t heal even though she is a hybrid because she has magic in her and she can’t get it out of her so stop talking about another girl. There is no other girl. The girl that just left is Damian’s sister but you would not know that because you have already concluded that I am like every other guy you dated. You think I am the same person. You think I would cheat on you like they did and if you can’t trust me after all we have been through, I don’t know what else I can do for you!” Alex said
“The viral Annabelle is your sister?” She asked
“Yes she is. Same mother and same father!”
“You have to be kidding me” Beth said
“Come with me” Alex said to her

He led her up to Annabelle’s room and he got in

“Why didn’t you tell me you had a sister? Why didn’t you tell me you were the same person?”
“Because I couldn’t okay? I just couldn’t. If I do, they would come after you. I can’t protect you if I am fighting this battles, okay, I just can’t. I can’t even protect my own sister. I can barely handle things right here in the kingdom”
“I can handle myself! What the hell are you talking about? I am not human! I am a vampire and I can fight my own battles!” Beth said to him
“No you can’t! You can’t fight your battles. You can’t fight Phillip. He would come after you just because he knows that I care about you. He would kill you just because he is trying to get to me!” Alex said
“I don’t care! I just wanted to be with you! I wanted to be by your side. The whole essence of being in a relationship is to handle things together!” she said to him
“You can’t handle this! As much as you want to help, you can’t!” Alex said
“You are not letting me!” she screamed at him
“Can you both move this somewhere else? I am trying to think!” Grace said as she appeared right in the middle of Anna’s room

Beth moved back, surprised. How long as she been there?

“Since you both walked in” Grace said, answering her unsaid question
“What?” Alex asked
“Never mind. I need to check on Justin. Can you move your argument somewhere else? I need to think really and you both are really loud” Grace said as she walked out of the Annabelle’s room

Grace walked out of the room and Beth turned to Alex. He could hear her unsaid question

“She is a friend of Damian and Justin. Justin is Damian’s best friend. They are almost like brothers. There is a lot of things you don’t know about me and it is a long story but you need to go far away from here and stay away!” he said
“I am not leaving you! I am not doing that anymore. I am here and I am staying. Love stays and I am not scared of someone coming after me. Let them come after me. I either win or they do. Either ways, I am fighting. I am not leaving!” she said
“Beth”
“No! You can’t send me off. I am not leaving!” she said

He sighed and he hugged her, burning his face in her hair. She hugged him back

“I guess you are going to have to move in then. You either move in or you leave. I can’t risk you staying out there on your own without me” he said
“Would that be cool with Damian?” she asked
“Damian is currently not available for anybody. He is at war with a demon in his body so I am filling his space for the main time and if he was here, he would love you here. I can’t just let Phillip get to anybody else that I love. He took my mom and dad from me and now he wants Anna too. I can’t let him come after you” Alex said

Beth moved close to him and kissed him. He kissed her back. He missed her, he needed her. He was just scared. He was glad that she understood that he wasn’t avoiding her because he felt like. He was glad that she knew that he was going to do anything to keep her safe. He sent her out with a guard to pack her things so she can move into the house. When she was gone, Sally appeared out of nowhere. She looked at him

“You are risking her life” Sally said
“I know, I don’t have a choice anymore. I can’t keep staying unhappy because I am scared. I have to make up my mind and start or fix my life. There is always going to be another Phillip somewhere. There is always going to be a threat that Cordina has to face. Would we put our lives on hold then? We just have to keep living through it” Alex said

Grace walked into the room and walked up to Damian

“What is going on?” Alex asked
“He died about ten minutes ago. I ought to have pulled this out since then” she said to him

She knelt before him and touched the dagger. She pulled it out and he gasped back to life immediately. She smiled at him

“What took you so long?” he asked her

She scoffed and smiled at him. He hugged her. Justin gasped back to life almost immediately after Damian and he looked at him

“These are one of those days where is don’t like the idea of being linked to you” Justin said
“I guess you’re stuck with me forever” Damian said back to him with a smile

Sally ran to Justin and hugged him. He hugged her back. Damian looked around

“Where is Anna?” he asked
“You broke her back. She is unconscious” Sally said
“I did what? I didn’t do that. I don’t remember doing that” Damian said
“You didn’t. We were a second too late and the spirit you decided to harbor in your body took over before we could kill you. She did some damage before Alex could put that dagger in your chest. Anna is nor healing up because of the intense amount of magic in her body. I am hoping that your venom would help her kick start her speed healing” Grace said
“You are aware that my venom can kill her too right?” Damian asked
“We don’t have another choice!” Grace said to him
“C’mon, Gracie! There is always another choice. There is always another way that doesn’t involve hurting her to heal her. Haven’t we done that enough? I am going to find another way. In the mean time, keep her alive. I would find another way!” he said to Grace
“There is no other way!” Alex screamed at him
“I will find another way! I am not going to kill her in the process of saving her. There has to be another way! I have come close to losing her so many times! I left her so many times! I have finally gotten her back and you are asking me to lose her! I can’t do that. I will kill my father if I have to! I will not let him take Annabelle from me again so when I say that I will find a way, trust me when I say it. I will find a way. Keep her alive until then!” Damian said to them
“Well, if you are going to find a way to bring her back. We should start with Isabelle and Arielle, maybe they know something about how to find Phillip. I doubt if they would know how to get the magic out of her. Phillip is not stupid. He would not give them the answers we need because he knows that we can capture them” Alex said
“And you think Isabelle or Arielle would give you the answers that you want?” Sally asked
“If they don’t give me the answers that they want, I would rip them apart, from limb to limb till I get what I want” Damian said to her
“Alright! Why don’t we try talking to them first?” Alex said

Damian rolled his eyes and headed out of his room
