Chapter Sixty Six

“What are you doing?” Sally asked her
“Getting venom, what on earth does it look like?” She said to them
“You are killing him! I can feel it!” Justin said
“I have to do what needs to be done!”
“What do you mean by that? You have to stop now!” Raphael said
“Damian knew what he was getting to when he asked me to do this. He knew that there was a likelihood that he might not survive the process because he is still weak but Anna doesn’t have time and he made me promise not to stop for any reason. So if you can stop asking me questions for a second and let me concentrate then maybe I can save both his life and Anna’s!” She said to them
“What did you do to Alex?” Sally asked her
“I snapped his neck. It was the only way!” when said

She dropped her hands and the venom was still floating in the air. She moved it with her magic and cut Anna’s wrist open before letting the venom seep into her bloodstream. She looked at her and Damian groaned. He moaned softly and Sally ran to him before helping him up

“Don’t do that! He is too hungry for you to be around him!” Grace said to her
“He is my brother! I am not going to let him die” Sally said
“I am not saying you should let him die. I am just saying he needs to feed first”
“He can feed on me” Sally said
“He would kill you” Raphael said
“I am a vampire. I would be fine and I trust him. He wouldn’t kill me!” she said to them

She looked at Damian and nodded at him. His fangs sank into her neck and she winced in pain. He drank for a while before he stopped. He got up and walked towards Annabelle

“What is going on?” Damian asked Grace
“You remember how we said it may work and it may not work, that is exactly what is going on. She would be awake now but I don’t know why she is not awake. It is almost like it made no difference. Do you think we were too late?” Grace asked him
“Move out of the way!” Sally said as she moved closer to Anna
“What are you going to do?” Damian asked her
“Everything I can!” Sally said

She pulled up the sleeve of her shirt and forced her fist into Anna’s chest.

“What the hell Sally?” Justin asked
“I am trying to massage her heart to keep it alive. It is the only thing I can do right now. I am not going to lose her!” Sally said to him

A loud bang came on the door and Damian looked at Sally. Raphael walked to the window and saw Arielle standing there with an army.

“I thought you said that they shouldn’t be back for weeks” Alex said as he groaned back to reality
“I don’t know what she wants” Grace said
“I do! She wants me” Damian said
“What do you mean?” Alex asked
“While I was in my father’s prison, he decided to draw power from me and when he did, it created an opening for me to see into his mind. I did and he was wrong. Anna can kill him but it takes three hybrids to get the job done. Anna is just the one to give the final blow. When I was in his mind, there was one constant message that his brain kept reminding him off. It was some sort of horrible fear that he had kept in his head, buried. He wants me and I am not about to give him what he wants” Damian said to them
“So what is the plan boss?” Alex asked
“You and I would take care of Arielle and the army. Raphael and Sally would stay here with Anna. Grace, I need you out on the field. If you were wrong then Phillip would be back and right now, the only way we can fight him is with magic” Damian said

He looked at Grace and she nodded at him before lifting herself off her feet and flying off to the courtyard. Damian looked at Alex and they sped off. When he got there, he saw Arielle and he could see that she had been beaten up

“I need your help!” she said
“You must be very desperate or very stupid. You brought an entire army to ask for my help?” Damian asked her
“Your father would come for you and he will kill you. You have no hope and no savior. You will die. If you come with me, we both do not have to die” Arielle said
“I get it now. Phillip is going to use you as a source of power. A temporary one of course because you are hybrid and you have to essence of immortality. In a century, you would be off no use to him so he sent you here to what? Get Damian?” Alex asked
“He sent me here to get all three of you. He sent me here for Damian, Annabelle and you!” Arielle said to him
“Tell him we would take a big pass on his offer and we are happy being the way we are. We do not intend on being prisoners to your psychotic boyfriend” Damian said
“You don’t understand. He would kill me and then he would come here for you. You can’t stop him without Anna. What if he gives you what you want?” Arielle said
“He doesn’t have anything I want!” Damian said to her
“What if he gives you a cure for Anna’s problem? What if he lets Anna leave but takes you and Alex instead? He would exile her because he wants to rule Cordina but he would let her live. What if he does that?” Arielle asked

Alex looked at Damian and he could tell that he was actually considering the offer so he sped to Arielle and grabbed her by the neck. He ran his fist into her chest and she screamed

“Alex! What the hell are you doing? Let her go!”
“I would have really loved to send you back to Phillip but he would just kill you and you don’t want that. That is why you came here instead because you knew that I was going to kill you immediately I saw you but I didn’t. Instead, I gave you more than enough time to talk and prove yourself and I think that I have heard just about enough of what you have to say. I am not interested in the offer and Damian is not interested either. So now I am left with two options. I can either kill you myself, right here, right now and we get this over with or I can let you be and let Phillip kill you, the choice is yours!” Alex said to her
“Alex! I don’t know what crazy thoughts you have roaming in your head but you have to let her go, now! If Phillip has a way of curing Anna, we have to take it!” Damian screamed at him
“At what price? Don’t you see it? Don’t you get it? Phillip would never change! He is always going to be the same person. He is a selfish son of the devil and nothing ever comes free. Even if we decide to be living sacrifices, what stops him from coming after Anna? Nothing! I have been through this cycle before and I am not going to let it repeat itself! I will not do that, not anymore! Make up your mind Arielle, I am running out of patience!” Alex said to her
“You are not a killer. You loved her once. Don’t go down this path! It would do nothing but ruin you!” Damian said to him

Alex groaned and he looked at her

“You are lucky that he is here to talk me out of this. The next time I see you, I will kill you without hearing what you have to say. If Phillip wants me, tell him I said that he should come and get me himself. I don’t need him sending someone I already hate! You have five minutes to get off this property. Whatever happens after that will be your fault and not mine!” Alex said to her as he walked into the house.

Damian followed him

“What the hell, Alex?” Damian said to him
“Not now!” Alex said
“You have to be kidding me! Now! What the hell? What was that about?”
“It was about me trying to protect you and everybody else just like I have been doing for weeks now. I know what you are going to tell me but guess what, I have held Cordina together for weeks because you have made stupid decisions! I have rules because you trusted the wrong people and believed them! I know it sounds crazy and it feels crazy but some times, killing somebody is the only way to go about this! There is no other way Damian! If she comes back, I will kill her with or without your approval!” Alex said to him
“She is your ex!”
“She left me for my greatest enemy! She left me for someone that tore through my family and killed my parents and now he is the same reason that my sister is almost dead! I don’t care if she was my wife! I would kill her if I have to!” Alex said to him
“You are different from what you used to be, consumed by rage and hate” Damian said.
“As I said, it is what I have to do to get the job done and I think you should do the same too!” Alex said as he walked out of the sitting room and headed up to Anna’s room
