Chapter Fifty Two

“My plan? What on earth are you talking about? I didn’t ask to be here! Your boyfriend begged me to be here and I am friends with both Justin and Damian. You would be crazy I think I would hurt any of them just to deny them the happiness they deserve. I would never stand on the way of their happiness! So be careful with your accusations before I do something that I would regret in the long run!” Grace said
“Do your worst!” Sally said
“Enough! The both of you. I am tired of you both yelling at each other! If you can’t work together to ensure the safety of these three, then you should both leave!” Raphael said
“Guys?” Alex said
“I am sick of you both. Justin made the decision to go into Damian’s mind on his own. You couldn’t stop him. If you feel guilty, then feel guilty on your own. You gave no reason to drag someone else into this” Raphael said to Sally
“Uhn… Guys?” Alex said again
“And next time you plan on doing something as crazy as this, tell us the up and down sides to it at the same time! Don’t leave everybody nervous because you are holding back valuable and important information!” he said to Grace
“Guys!” Alex screamed
“What?!” Raphael yelled at him and turned back to see that they were surrounded
“That is what I have been trying to tell you!” he said

Grace wondered how they didn’t know they were being surrounded

“We just want to talk” Arielle said
“You look familiar. You’re the girl that was supposed to get married to Damian before he brought my sister to Cordina. Why are you doing this?” Alex asked
“Because I have to!” Isabelle said
“Alex, we just want to talk” Arielle said
“I heard you the first time. What I did not hear is what you want to talk about” he said
“We want to make a deal” she said
“You are sounding like the little gift you left with my sister. The demon you put in her” Alex said
“We would leave you and your sister alone of you give us Damian!” Arielle said
“You want me to give Damian to you and what? You take him to his psychopathic father and what? He rips him into bits, removing each limb after the other? I would take a pass on that!” Alex said
“Either ways, I would be leaving with Damian. Nobody has to die here, today” Arielle said
“You would be crazy to think I would give Damian to you”
“Then we would take him by force!” She said
“Game on” Alex said
“You’re outnumbered! Don’t be stupid” Isabelle said
“If we have to fight, then so be it!” Raphael said
“We have you surrounded, Alex. Don’t let your pride get everybody killed!” Arielle said
“Grace, I need you to get Damian, Annabelle and Justin to the room and put a barrier spell around it, one that won’t break until you break it yourself and stay in there with them. The rest of us would hold them back” Alex said

Grace nodded at them and snapped her fingers and they were gone. Arielle’s eyes grew dark

“I want all of them dead, except these two” Alex said to Raphael and Sally.

Sally nodded at him. She has been looking for an outlet for her anger and guilt and she just found one. Her eyes grew dark and she sped towards the guards, ripping out their hearts one by one because she knew that it was the only way to kill a vampire. Raphael went after Isabelle. Arielle was left with Alex

“You can’t win this. It’s three people over a hundred!”
“So let’s even the odds with one hybrid” he said as his eyes glowed

He sped off with her and locked her in the prison that held Phillip once. He looked at her

“I loved you once” she said
“That’s bull shit. Keep it until I am ready to have a conversation with you and one more thing.
“What is that?” she asked
“Those people you brought with you, I would kill them one after the other and their death would be on your hands. I hope you can live with that” Alex said as he snapped her neck and she laid there, temporarily dead.

He sped back to the living room and another part of himself came to life. He had not taken a life in a while and he really wanted things to remain that way but it was impossible. It was either them or him and his friend and that was not a choice to make. He started to rip out hearts and body parts until he stopped and looked around. They were surrounded with dead bodies. Alex knew that it was only a matter of time before Phillip started to come for the people and they were going to need to evacuate Cordina for a while so there were no collateral damage. Alex dropped to his knees and sighed because he needed it. Sally walked up to him.

“We did it” she said
“No we didn’t. This is just the beginning of everything!” Alex said

Raphael walked up to them

“Everywhere is clear for now” he said
“What next?” Sally asked
“I don’t know. I just don’t know. I can’t thing right now” Alex said
“We have to act fast. We can’t keep having battles here with the residents in the city. We have to evacuate Cordina really fast or else, we would have way too many collateral damages and we can’t do that” Sally said
“She is right. We have to find a way to evacuate them” Raphael said
“The only person that can do that is Damian and he is not here to give that kind of order. How are we going to do that?” Alex asked
“You are aloha of the crimson pack! You are Damian’s right hand man. You are the next person in command after Damian. You have to act without Damian. You have to make your decisions without Damian. Cordina is now depending on you!” Raphael said
“Gather the people of Cordina by this evening. I would try to pass the message it they would listen. We would have to go back to training and we would need an army because we can’t fight this battle alone!” Alex said
“I would inform one of the guards to gather the people and then we would see how things go from there” Sally said
“Also, can someone find Grace and tell her it’s okay to come out now? Also, get someone to clean up this place!” Alex said as he got up and went into his room

He went into the shower and took a long shower. He stayed under the shower, letting his mind replay the fight he just had with his fellow vampires. He noticed that there were no wolves amongst them and he wondered why. Was Phillip trying to build an army of just vampires? They would need their best wolves to fight this battle then and he knew that he had to get things done with before things got out of hand way more than it already has. He got out of the shower and his phone beeped. He threw his towel around his waist and he picked it up. It was Beth, the only woman that brought some peace and sanity into his life but he was forced to stay away from her. He was forced to leave her because she was going to be a target if she was seen with him. He opened her text

“You have been avoiding me for weeks now and I don’t know what to think. Talk to me! Let me know what’s wrong! Let me know how I can fix it. We are adults, let’s communicate and fix things out. Ignoring me would not help us fix anything. It would just pull us apart. Right now, you hurt! You hurt a lot, Alexander. Find a way to reach me so I would know that you’re not dead yet because that is the only reason why you should ignore me for so long” she texted

Alex dropped on his bed and sighed. What was he going to do? He was going to lose her if he wasn’t careful and he wasn’t ready to lose her. He was never going to be ready to leave her. She has brought some light and peace to his life and now he was just going to leave her hanging. He was just going to leave her with a lot of questions. He needed her here with him but that was going to do nothing but endanger her life and she was a vampire. She wasn’t immune to wolf bites or anything like he was. She was just another regular vampire that he had fallen in love with and now, he had to detach himself from her just so she wasn’t caught in the way of the bullets flying around. He groaned and laid down on his bed, thinking of a way to fix this without losing her
