Chapter Seventy One

“About that favor you asked for” Alex said to her
“Yeah?” She said back
“Why don’t you do it yourself? I mean, he took a lot from me too and that was probably why I was so hurt by the news of you working with him but I understand that you didn’t have a choice but right now, I am giving you a choice. You are a part of this family too and I don’t care what anybody thinks. You are fighting with me today, by my side because that is where I want you, that is where I would always want you so meet me in the study in five minutes because we would be heading out together” Alex said to her

She turned around and ran to him before jumping on him and kissing him in the process. He smiled at her and looked at her.

“I know it is probably a wrong time for this but I am sorry I did all of that to you. I was avoiding my feelings and I didn’t want my emotions to cloud my judgement. I hope that you can forgive me and once all of this is over, you can give me the chance to make it up to you and you don’t have to leave the house or leave me, I don’t want you to leave because I am not me without you. Just stop packing and let’s come back to talk things out. Get into something comfortable because you would need it to fight” he said to her as he walked out of the room and headed to the study

She looked around and smiled to herself. She didn’t have to call her aunt or anything and that was good news for her. She got dressed and headed to the study. She walked in and Anna smiled at her

“So what is the plan? How do you plan on ending this once and for all?” Sally asked Anna
“Well, when I woke up, I discovered that I can do this” she said as she snapped her fingers and she disappeared.
“Now you have magic? What exactly should be call you? A tribrid?” Alex asked her
“Yes, that is exactly what I am. I was hoping to return the favor back to Phillip. His magic is darker than before and one thing that would stick would be my magic. If I attack him at his weakest point with the magic, it could do some real damage. It could hurt him enough to cripple him while we do the rest with wolf venom. No matter what, Phillip is always going to be a vampire and that is the only way we would win this. He has an army stationed around him so we can’t all go after Phillip and leave the army to destroy Cordina so we don’t right now, they are closing in on the borders of Cordina and that is bad news for all of us. I don’t want the fight in Cordina. The destruction would be something that we may never recover from but there are waste lands just outside the border and that would do for a battle field. Besides, we can just set it all ablaze when we are done so we don’t have to clean up after ourselves” she said to them
“Clean up? You are talking about a mass murder? Why should that be the solution?” Beth asked
“Because it is! Phillip has tried to kill me once and he would do it again of he gets the opportunity to do it. It is our life or his and trust me, he wouldn’t just kill you. When I escaped whatever hideout he kept me in, he was working on some sort of spell to feed on the soul of others. He has been corrupted and there is no redemption for him. If you hesitate to kill when you have to, then you would die in their place!” Anna said to her
“Then what makes us different from him?” Beth asked her
“We don’t kill for the pleasure of killing. We kill out of necessity. We have given them more than enough time to repent and turn away from this evil but they didn’t. That is not on us! We are taking their lives because it is necessary, because we don’t have a choice. I know that you have always heard that we have a choice but they brought the fight to us and we don’t have a choice anymore” Annabelle said
“Is that supposed to make a difference?” Beth asked her
“Beth, that is the difference. We are not killing for vengeance or for power even though we all have scores to settle with him, we are killing so we have a place to call home after all of this. It is okay if all of this is new to you but if you can’t kill, do enough damage to them that they would not have an opportunity to strike back. They are wolves and vampires, they would heal when the time is due” she said to her
“That can work for me” she said to her
“Amazing. Any other questions?” Annabelle asked

She got no response

“In the absence of none, then we move. According to the feeds we are getting from the border, we know how to attack. Beth and Alex, you attack right from the front. We don’t want any surprises so Sally and Justin and Raphael, you would attack from behind. Damian, Grace and I would go after Phillip. If we can get him down to his knees, the battle might not be a long one” Annabelle said
“Let us hope we don’t get there to meet any surprise” Alex said as he got up and led them out

They drove to the borders of Cordina because it made sense to keep their energy for the main fight. When they got there, their enemies were already at the borders of Cordina, almost entering into the city. They stopped on the sight of the heroes of Cordina. Alex got down first and his eyes glowed with anger. He grabbed Beth and they soed off, causing a distraction so the others can get to their positions. Phillip was a little confused at first then he came to his senses but by then, it was already too late. He saw that they were already in position so he stopped and he smiled

“You think you can stop me? You have tried a couple of times but where did that get you? You can’t stop me, none of you can. I heard that your hero is dead. I heard that you have buried Annabelle and I must say that it is said for me because I could have really helped out in healing her but you decided to double cross me and stab me in the back, literally and for that you would pay” he said
“Hey, recognize me? I am not dead yet” she said as she flew up in the air and punched him right in the face

He moved back a few steps before he caught his balance again and growled. His army attacked and even though they were outnumbered, they were stronger. They had trained hybrids and wolves. Anna went in with her all and was about to land a final blow when he caught her midway and threw her to the other side of the battle field.

“Anna!” Damian screamed

He was about to go after her when Grace stopped him. He struggled with her

“Don’t! Don’t get distracted! Stay here and fight. He is your father. You might now be able to kill him but you can hold him off. I would check on Anna!” she said to him

He looked at her through a tearstained face and nodded at her before his eyes growled and he sped off. Grace flew into the sky and stopped, searching for Anna. She saw her and she flew to her, landing with grace as her name implied. She touched her and tried to help her up

“Not yet. I need a minute” she said as she held her waist
“What is wrong?” Grace asked
“We are going about this all wrong. We can’t beat him this way. He is unstoppable this way. I can’t get close enough to absorb his magic so we can’t do that. We need a different plan because this one is clearly not working” she said
“What do you have in mind?” Grace asked
“When Phillip touched me with magic, I absorbed it. What if I can do that, absorb his magic, making him a regular vampire again? We know that is his weakness so what if I do that and make him a vampire again, giving Damian the opportunity to kill him and get this over with?” Anna said
“That is crazy! That amount of dark magic would kill you!” she said
“It didn’t the first time. Look, Phillip had never had the good magic. It has always been the dark one and that is why I am alive today. My body can serve as some kind of incubator for how magic turning it from bad to good” she said to her
“And what if your body can’t contain it? What if it is way too much for your body to handle? What would you do then?” she asked Anna
“I was brought back from the dead for one reason and that is to end Phillip once and for all. If this is the way, then I have to do it!”
“Anna, exposing yourself like that is dangerous and you know this. Damian would never agree to this!” Grace said to her
“What choice do we have? Can you see what is going on out there? Our people are getting tired. We are outnumbered. We can’t win this, not this way. If we can remove the head of the army, the rest should be a piece of cake. I am doing this and you can’t talk me out of it so what is it going to be? Are you going to help me or not?” she said to her
“What do you need me to do?” she asked
“I would need you to blast me with your magic from behind while I absorb Phillip’s dark magic. Your magic has good in it. It should help with the balancing” Anna said
“That is absorbing two different types of magic at the same time. It has never been done in all of history! You would not survive this, Anna!”
“There is only one way to find out! We have to try!”
“I am not doing this!”
“I don’t think you have a choice, neither do I. Let’s do this and get it over with” Anna said to her as she got up and rose into the sky

Grace groaned and followed her, hoping she knew what she was doing. Grace knew that she wasn’t going to survive this except my some miracle so she decided to take matters into her own hands and while Anna was in the air, she blasted her with a force so powerful that it sent her flying right down to the ground. She dropped on the ground, unconscious
