Chapter Fifty Eight

“You loved me? Then why the fuck did you leave me? What exactly is your definition of love, Ari? What do you think love is? Love doesn’t leave. Love stays. Love fixes whatever is wrong in the situation and doesn’t give up until everything is fine. You didn’t love me. Of you did, you wouldn’t be with Phillip” Alex said to her
“Just like you wouldn’t be with Beth!” She said back
“Don’t involve her in any of this. I am with her because she has brought me more peace and joy in what? A couple of months. She has brought so much life and light to my world than you ever did in a space of months! You had years to do that and you couldn’t! So don’t tell me what I should or shouldn’t have done. You are one selfish little piece of shit and if you don’t give me Phillips location, I would get it out of you, one way or another”
“We both know that you don’t have the balls to hurt me. So tell me, how would you get the information you need when you are weak?” she asked him
“You are right. A part of me still loves you and I would not hurt you but Damian would. You have caused him so much pain, you and your lover and trust me, he doesn’t have a soft spot for you. He would rip you apart into bits until he gets what he wants. It is your choice, you either do it the easy way or you do it the hard way” he said to her
“You would not let him hurt me!” she said to him
“I don’t have a choice. My sister is hurt because of you and your husband!” he said
“He is not my husband! I am just emotional attracted to him!”
“Emotionally and sexually apparently! I can’t believe you are sleeping with him. Whatever he is to you, he is nobody to me and anybody that stands with him is an enemy of mine and he is an enemy of Damian, that means you are an enemy to me!” Alex said
“So you would let him hurt me?” she asked
“I would let him kill you if it is the last option I have. My sister’s life is on the line and I would rather let her live than let you live. You have twenty four hours to change your mind. If you don’t and you choose to die, then so be it. Either ways, you don’t get out of this alive except you give us the location to Phillip’s hide out!” He said to her

He stood up from where he was seated and walked out of the prison cell. He let Damian outside the cell and he looked at her

“Did you get anything from her?” Alex asked
“She doesn’t know where Phillip is. She doesn’t know his hide out. She is only helping him because he has her Mom. The only people that know where he can be are Arielle and Odette” Damian said to him
“Odette?” Alex asked
“Yeah. Apparently, she wants me and Annabelle apart as much as Phillip wants us apart. It is crazy but she knows where he is. If we can get to her, we can get to Phillip” Damian said
“Arielle would not give up Phillip’s location!” Alexander said to him
“I wasn’t expecting her to give it out. Whatever she has with my father is deeper than what she had with you! She would not give it up easily. According to Isabelle, your ex girlfriend would rather die than give up Phillip’s location and I need to know why she is protecting him that bad” Damian said
“You can have a conversation with her just not now. Give her time to let what I said to her sink in. If you approach her now, it would be in vain and she would just push you to the wall. She is very manipulative. She would get into your head” Alex said to Damian
“I don’t care if she gets into my head or my skull. We don’t know how much time Anna has left. Are you really going to risk Anna’s life because you’re scared that she would manipulate me?” Damian asked him

Alex scoffed and moved out of the way. Damian walked past him and went straight to Arielle’s cell. He looked at her and she smiled at him

“Finally, somebody with a straight mind. Although you must have a really troubles heart to be this angry. Let’s talk!” Arielle said to him
“I want to know where my father is. What is your condition?” He asked her
“I want to leave here unharmed. I would take you to Phillip and then you can both settle your issues but one thing you should know is that I would kill you before you kill Phillip. If you fight against him, you fight against me” she said to him
“You chose the wrong side of the battle and if you stand in my way, I would kill you and I would make sure that it is slow and excruciatingly painful. You would beg me to end your life and I wouldn’t listen to you!” he said to her
“Alright, then we have a deal!” she said to him

Damian looked at her and nodded. He turned around and saw Alex standing there. He knew that Alex was going to disagree with his methods but he didn’t have a choice. He had to find Phillip before Anna ran out of time. He was going to ask Sally how much time she had left and he was going to do everything he could do to find a way to cure her without the risk of her dying in the process.

“You are really going to let her go?” Alex asked das they walked to the living room
“I don’t have a choice! She is the only way I can get to Phillip m what would you rather have me do? Sit by and watch Anna die?” He screamed at him
“No! But then giving her your venom is the only way and you know this! Why are you making this difficult for everybody?” he screamed at Damian
“Because I have to find another way! I can’t lose her. I can’t be the one to kill her! There has to be another way around this! What if I give her my venom and it kills her? How the fuck am I supposed to live with myself? How do you want me to live with that guilt? I can’t lose Annabelle, not now, not ever. I will find another way and if that means letting Arielle go, then I will let her go!” Damian said to him
“I can’t let you do that!” Alex said back
“Do not stand in my way. I am not responsible for any actions that come because of this conclusion. If you stand in my way then I would have to do everything in my power to make you suffer the consequences and I don’t want to do that, so do not stand in my way!” Damian warned
“You made me the commander of your army and that was for a reason. If you go after Phillip, understand that you go on your own. I would not let any of our soldiers follow you into the death trap that you are so determined to walk into by yourself. Go ahead, Damian. You are in this on your own!” he said
“You can’t do that to me. I made you leader of the army. You report to me!” Damian said to him
“If you go ahead with this, Damian! You go ahead with it on your own. You don’t have the army to back you up this time. If you go there, you go there on your own!” Alex said to him
“Then so be it. I would go there on my own if that is what I have to do!” he said to Alex

Alex scoffed. He knew that Damian wasn’t going to back down from this and there was nothing for him to do to stop him. He groaned and walked out of the living room to look for Grace. When he eventually found Grace, she was with Anna and Anna was awake. He walked in gently and she smiled. He noticed that she didn’t turn to look at him because he knew that she didn’t .

“Alex!” she said

He could tell that she was in pain and there was nothing he could do about it. His heart broke and a year slipped from his eyes. He walked up to her and geld her hand

“I knew it was you. Your scent didn’t change. What’s going on? Have you found Phillip yet? Grace brought me up to the things going on and she thinks Arielle and Isabelle know where Phillip is. I am sorry that I can’t help with finding him. I can’t even move my neck. Can you move over so I can see your face?” she said

He moved close to her and looked at her. She smiled when she saw him, happy to see him.
