10. Wings

The ride to the bayou had stirred some feelings in Elise. She had never felt any sensation like it. As she held on to Levi, she felt a fluttering in her stomach. At first, she thought it was because she was so close to a demon, and it made her uncomfortable. But she knew that wasn’t it. She pushed the feelings aside.

Unlike Elise, Levi knew the exact feelings he was having. Having her perky round breast pushed up against his back and her arms around his waist was making his pants tighten. As he thought abought how she was such a pure being made her even more appealing to him. It was something he was not used to.

They were both feeling a little flustered by the time they arrived. Elise quickly got off the bike and Levi followed, while adjusting his clothes. They were in a large clearing. It was something somewhat strange in the bayou. You don’t find many places there devoid of trees.

It did have mud, however. As they walked further into the center of the clearing the mud got thicker. When they stopped both of their shoes were coated with thick black mud. Elise turned to look at Levi. She really did find him handsome. She wanted to ask him about the snake that rapped the end of the small braid. But she knew it wasn’t time for that.

“Ok so you said I have a divine weapon and that you assume it is like my fathers.”

“Yes.”

“So, prove it. You said you would.”

“Well do you know where your weapon would be located?”

“What do you mean? I thought they just appeared.”

“Well, there. You have been misinformed.”

“Ok if it doesn’t just show up then where is it?”

“Open your wings.”

Elise had not thought about flying today she had worn her pink scrubs and her bra underneath. Normally she would where a tank top or a low back t shirt when she went flying so that her wings would not rip up her clothes.

“Um can you turn around?”

“Why?”

“I can’t open my wings with my scrubs on it will shred them. And I don’t want to ride back with a shredded shirt”

“How am I going to show you where the weapon is and how to pull it out if I can't see.”

In a nervous voice Elise said, “Alright.” She had never taken her top off or stood in front of a man in just her bra. She hesitated for a moment and then slowly began to pull off her top. She dropped it on the muddy ground and her face turned beet red as she looked at Levi.

He could not help staring at her. He took a minute to really look at her. Her stomach was smooth, her breasts where full and slightly pushed out against her white t-shirt bra. She was toned and her skin was as light as snow. Although she was still feeling embarrassed about the situation, she took a deep breath and released her wings.

Levi looked at them with amazement. He had seen Azreal wings from afar, but these wings where so close, they were huge and black as coal. He slowly approached Elise.

“Can I touch them?” he asked. He had never touched angels' wings before. Unlike his brothers Abaddon and Mara, he never went out of his way to capture and torture the lower-level angels. He could have if he wanted to. He was a prince of hell after all, but he had no desire to do so.

Elise’ face flushed even more. In almost a whisper she said, “I guess.” She was feeling really uncomfortable being so exposed, but she had to know. Levi put out his hands and slowly ran his fingers across her large feathers. They were soft but firm. They would not be easy to cut or to pull out.

He was in a state of wonder. He could not believe that an angel would trust him enough to do this. Elise felt the fluttering in her stomach again as he stroked her wings. Him touching her there seemed intimate. A few moments passed and she spoke.

“Are you going to show me?”

“Yes, little angel.” He worked his way around to her back. He ran his fingers over the base of her wings where they connected at her shoulder blades.

“I can help you or you can do it yourself, but the skin must be ripped away from between the blades and then you must reach in and pull the weapon out.

“You can't be serious! I am supposed to rip open my skin to supposedly pull out a weapon?”

“Yes. The good thing is that you will heal quickly. Look, I can help you open the skin, but you must draw the weapon out.”

She thought for a moment. “Levi I'm scared.” In truth she was. Not just about the pain but about the idea that Levi could be right. If he was, then how could she ever trust her family again.

“Don’t be scared little angel I will be here to help you.” He said in a tender voice. For some reason seeing Elise in such a vulnerable way he started to feel protective over her. Like he didn’t want any harm to come to her.

Elise took a deep breath in. She told herself ‘If this is what I must do to find the truth then I must do it.’ she let out the breath.

“All right.” She said nodding her head. “Do it and do it fast.”

Levi moved one of his hands and scratched deep into Elises flesh. She closed her eyes and scrunched up her face. “Okay I can see it. Now reach in and pull it out.” Elise reached back over her shoulders and stuck her hand in. At first, she pricked her finger on something sharp. It was difficult but she pushed her hand further down till she felt something smooth.

Elise took a big gulp of air as she grabbed it and pulled. It came straight out of her back. She lifted her hand up over her head and brought it in front of her face. Levi had not lied to her. In her hand she held a divine weapon.
