75. Brothers Planning

“Michael, I want no part in this.”

“We can't just do nothing.”

“What is there to do Azrael is dead? Our brothers are now hunting us thanks to you and Elise hates us all of us. Face it we are on the losing side of this.”

“No, we have to trap her. That’s all.”

“Oh yeah and how do you suppose we do that. We can’t hold her in heaven, it is not made to be a prison in any way. She can't enter the realm of light and earth wouldn’t work so what do you suggest?”

“Hell.”

“Oh yeah that is great. Yeah, let's just walk into hell put her in a cell to rot for eternity and that will be the end of it.”

“She was held for three centuries maybe she could be captured and held again.”

“Are you serious?”

“Hey, it could work we just need to talk to Mara I mean he was her captor those years so maybe we could ally with him.”

“You are stupid if you think it would be wise to align ourselves with a demon. And not just any demon but Mara the worst prince of hell. He hates us if we meet with him, we are just asking to be captured and tortured ourselves.”

“He wouldn’t be able to capture us we will meet him on mutual ground. If we meet him on earth, we won't be weakened, and he won't be able to capture us.”

“It could work. But we need approval of our brothers before we do something like this.”

“I am with Gabriel on this we need to have the council approve a mission like this.”

Uriel said.

“Your right but I think once they know Azrael is lost, they may come around to this idea.”

“I agree with you. But how do we get them all together without them wanting to tear into us.”

“We could pray to one of them then set a trap when they get here, we are ready and once they have heard us out then we can see where their heads are at.”

“I don’t know Michael?”

“What is the alternative. I mean really what are we supposed to do. And besides if we do trap Elise, we may be able to get her to give us the keys to lock up the hell gate again.”

“Well, I don’t know but we will get it out of her for sure.”

Michael said. He knew the only way to get information from an unwilling party was torture. He hated the idea of having Elise tortured but he needed to close the gate to hell. They couldn’t have the mass of hell walking on earth.

Gabriel Michael and Uriel flew to the closest empty field they could find. Then the three of them knelt down in the field and bowed their heads. They called out to their brothers. It didn’t take long for them to hear wings flapping as their siblings approached.

Michael and the others got in a defensive stance. They swooped down surrounding the trio. Michael went to speak but before he could speak Jophiel had already pulled his weapon and was charging at him.

Michael moved and grabbed him by the chest and tossed him a few feet away.

“Now what I was going to say.”

Jophiel was back at him. He had run and jumped on his back and pulled his weapon from between his blades. He pulled out his urumi. It was a flail that instead of having leather strips on it had swords attached to the end.

He lifted his arm and brought it down cutting into Michaels broad chest. Michael dropped him. Michael had always hated fighting with Jophiel. Jophiel was not the best fighter, but he knew how to use the urumi. And knowing how to use that made him a formidable opponent.

“I don’t want to fight.”

Michael said

“Oh yes you do while else would you have cut me down. Fighting for you is a total power trip. You get off on it, but I tell you what today you won't win this fight.”

He cracked the urumi again. The swords connected with Michaels arm leaving his arm shreds.

“Watch it, Jophiel.”

“No, you should watch it.” As he lunged, he brought the swords down, but Michael moved in time and moved quickly till he was next to him and punched right in the face. Jophiel swayed a bit but as he gained composure someone yelled at him.

“Jophiel stop, there is things to be discussed.”

Chamuel said. Jophiel lowered his weapon but didn’t put it away altogether, but he did walk up to wherever one seemed to be huddled together. Michael came up to the group as well. Chamuel said.

“Uriel said Azreal is dead.”

“It is true. I prayed to him and there was nothing on his tether. “

Some of the others tried to call out to him but just as Michael had said he was not there.

“Maybe he is just trying to stay under the radar.”

“Haniel we would still feel him when we prayed but he isn't there he is dead.”

They all looked glum. Knowing that their brother was dead.

“As we all know Elise is the only one that could have done it.”

“How could she he was her father?”

“She is insane. I mean we all know she was held captive by Mara for centuries. “

“Exactly I think we need to send her back to him.”

“What back to Mara?”

“Yeah, I mean he is the only one who could keep her captive and out of trouble.”

“But won’t he torture her.”

“Probably but I don’t think we have a choice we can't have someone with her power just walking around on earth. I mean she is responsible after all for all the current chaos. Maybe if she is returned to Mara then we may even find the keys to close the gate again.”

“I don’t like this idea.”

“I don’t either, but I agree with Michael it is probably our best chance at surviving. I mean if she killed her father, I am sure we are all on her wicked list of people to kill. We can't kill her so the best thing to do is to capture her and hold her in hell like Michael suggested.”
