35. Housewarming
The party was in full swing. Elise and Leviathan were out on the dance floor. She was wearing a sleek backless dress and Leviathan was in a classic black suit. After a few dances they decided to go get a drink. As they walked to the bar Elise spotted her cousin.
“I am going to talk to Amanda.”
“Oh, alright. I’ll get you a drink.”
Elise left to go to her cousin. As soon as she walked away, Georgia walked up to Leviathan. She was wearing a skimpy dress that hugged her curves and showed a lot of skin along with a pair of tall heels to draw attention to her toned legs. Her hair was down, and she did look quite striking. She had already caught the attention of more than one man that evening, but she was on a mission.
She came up behind Leviathan and tapped him on the shoulder. “Hi, Mr. Athan.”
“Hello, what is you name again?” He honestly had no idea who she was. Although she looked familiar nothing about her had made a lasting impression on Levi. Sure, she was pretty, but she was nothing compared to Elise. She also had a bad attitude. She was just the sort of person Levi would not make the effort to remember.
“You don’t remember me?” Her face fell a bit.
“No, am I supposed to?”
“Oh, it doesn’t matter.” She tried to brush it off. “I’m Georgia, one of Elises friends.”
“Okay”
“I was just talking with her the other day about how very attractive you are.” She said as she ran her hand over his shoulder and down his arm. Leviathan didn’t say anything. He didn’t know what to say to that. What was he supposed to say?
“Do you think, I am attractive?” She continued, placing her hand on her breast to draw his focus to her bosom.
“Mph.” Levi sighed. He could see where this was going. He had no desire to be with this woman and he did not see the point in waiting for her next move. He started turning to leave, but Georgia grabbed his arm and went in for a kiss. He pulled away dodging her.
She stumbled a bit before she recovered and gave him a confused look.
“I need to make this clear I am with Elise.”
“Yeah, but your reputation. You’ve never let anyone stop you from having a little fun.”
“Well, I am with Elise now, and she is all the fun I need.”
“Well, when you get tired of her you can have me.” As she spoke, she ran her hands over her dress cupping her breasts and then running them down across her stomach to her hemline. “My door is always open.” She bit her lip and put on a pouty face.
Levi moved in close and looked her right in the face. “Even if I weren’t with her, I wouldn’t be with you.”
Georgia fumed and stormed off.
Elise came back to Levi with Amanda in tow.
“Levi it is so good to see you.” Amanda threw her arms around him in a hug. He was not a big hugger like Amanda, but he liked her well enough to allow her to do that. He patted her back, and she let go.
“Amanda was just asking if we could introduce her to Saxon?” Elise said.
Levis face twitched. He did not like the idea of Amanda getting mixed up with his sons. He knew for a fact that his sons shared everything and that included women.
“I don’t know if that is a good idea?”
“Why is that?”
“He doesn’t like to date really.”
“Oh.”
It wasn’t a lie. Saxon and Baylor didn’t like to date. They preferred to just have women.
“Well, maybe you know someone.”
As it happened, he did have someone in mind. It was an actual man, not a demon. He knew if she spent too much time with demons she could become just as mean as Georgia.
“Oh, please.” Amanda pled. She was getting tired of the single life.
“Okay come with me.” He led them over to a tall man. He had a big cowboy hat on and was wearing a black suit.
“Sam, I’m glad you made it.”
“Glad to be here. You know I love this new place. The bones are good.”
“Thanks that is why we picked it. This is my Elise.”
“Hey.” He reached out his hand which she shook.”
“This is Amanda, Elises cousin.” Sam tipped his hat to her and smiled. She blushed a bit.
Sam stepped forward and turned his back to the girls. Leviathan caught on and took a few steps away to talk to him.
“Levi, you weren't lying Elise is smoking. But I know she is yours. Her cousin is gorgeous, is she single by chance.”
“Yeah, she is.”
“Well, I’ll be dammed. She isn’t a half demon, is she?” Sam knew all about what Levi was. He had met Leviathan when he was young. Leviathan liked the kid and helped him. Eventually he trusted him enough to tell him what he was. Sam didn’t know about everything, but he knew enough.
“Ha, no. Why would an Angels cousin be a half demon?”
“I don’t know I was just checking.”
“Does she know about all of this.”
“No.”
“Oh, okay.”
“She is looking for something serious so if you aren't I would move along.”
“Well, aren't you the big defender.”
“Look, it is like this, Elise has two really good friends and Amanda is one of them. So, if you hurt her, you will make Elise upset and trust me lately you do not want that.”
“I'll take your word.”
They returned to the girls and made small talk while Sam and Amanda got to know each other better. They went on enjoying each other's company. They all danced and stuck with their new little clique.
