61. Starting Over

Leviathan felt when the gate opened. It was like a beacon to him as well as the others.

“Father the gate it is open.”

The three of them rushed upstairs. Upon opening the bedroom door, they saw Sean’s lifeless body. They looked from the body to the ajar door.

“Why is it open? Where is Elise?”

“Father she must have gone through. We need to do the same and close the thing before the demons get here. “

It was common for demons to flock to a hell gate. In the past when it was opened the prince that was going through would take some demons with him. But when the gate was opened it called to the demons drawing them in.

They would be descending on the house soon enough for just the opportunity to escape. Leviathan began to look around.

“Where are the keys?”

Saxon and Baylor also began to look around too. Then they heard a loud bang. They knew the demons had come for a chance to escape.

“Forget it lets go. “

“Father if we don’t close it all of hell will come through.”

“So be it.”

The three of them walked through the gate. They came out in front of Elise old home.

“Do you think she is in there.”

“She can’t be. She sold the place remember. “

“Well, if you have not noticed she is unhinged. Who is to say she has not slaughtered everyone who lives there.”

“Fine let's check.”

Leviathan walked up to the front door and knocked. After a moment a young man opened the door.

“Can I help you.”

“Yes, did a woman with long black hair stop by.”

“No, why.”

“No reason but thankyou anyway.”

Leviathan retreated and went back to his sons.

“We should go maybe she went back to your new place. “

Leviathan nodded and they all proofed away.

Inside the small house that used to be Elise she stood looking at the man.

“You did a good job lying you even convinced a prince of hell.”

“A what?”

“Doesn't matter. Now I need some clothes that are more appropriate.”

“I, I “

“You what?”

“I have a wife. She has some clothes in the bedroom you can use. Please just don’t kill me.”

“Show me.”

He led her back to the room that used to be hers. Opening the dresser, she found some leggings and then found T-shirts. Not taking her eyes off him she quickly dressed, leaving her clothes in a crumbled mess on the floor.

She figured she needed to find a good place to lay low. A place that was close enough to follow all that was going to be coming. She knew what she had done. There would be demons stirring up trouble in a huge way.

The angels would be forced to come down to deal with the problem. She wanted chaos. She wanted to revel in what was going to happen. But in the meantime, she needed a place that she would not be discovered.

A place no one would look for her. She knew she could not stay in the quarter. Then she had an idea. She would go to the suburbs. No one would expect to find her there. She would blend in, maybe get a house and take up a job.

“You are going to take me to Suncrest Bank in Elmwood then you are free to go.”

“So, you are not going to kill me.”

“I will if you don’t do as you are told. “

She followed him out to his car and got in the passenger seat. He began to drive. He had seen her ripped wings and her weapon and feared her. He thought she had been some kind of monster not an angel. They drove for about twenty-five minutes until they reached the bank. She turned to him.

“If you tell anyone that you saw me, I will come back and kill you and your wife.”

His face went pale. He slowly nodded at her. Then she hopped out of the car and entered the bank. She knew she had no ID on her. She was planning on using the ability she hoped she still had she was planning on trying to use her divinity to allow them access to her account.

She walked into the bank and was greeted by happy faces. She pretended to just be like everyone else.

“I need to speak with someone I seem to have misplaced my card.”

“Oh, we can help you with that. It looks like Maury is free. Right over there first office.”

She nodded and went into the glass room of an office.

“How can I help you ma'am.”

“I seem to have misplaced my card. Can you help me please. I need to have access to my money.”

“Sure, I will just need some ID.”

Elise moved close to him and held on to his arm. She tried to access the light that was in her. But it had diminished. She pushed the small light she had to the front. In turn the man in front of her squirmed. His mind was turning.

“I don’t need my ID you will just look me up and give me a card.”

It took minuets but finally the man caved.

“I will just look you up and we can get you a new card.”

She finally sat back down in the seat. That had been harder than she expected. Elise hoped that it would get easier as she healed. She had already felt a bit better since being back on earth. Her body was left stiff, and her skin was cooler.

After finishing everything at the bank she asked where the nearest phone store was. She needed a car, a place to live, all things she could do from a phone. The man gave her directions to the nearest shopping center and told her there was a sprint there.

She left the bank and headed to sprint. It didn’t take her long to walk five miles. Once there it was just a matter of setting everything up. It took about two hours in total. She walked to the target that was in the shopping center. She needed to get things. After her shopping she ordered a car to take her to the nearest hotel.

Leviathan stormed into their home.

“Elise.”

He shouted. She was nowhere to be found. He continued to search for her. But to no avail he never found her.

“She is not here father.”

“Well, where is she then.”

“I don’t know. “

Leviathan had no clue what was going on. Elise had somehow opened the hell gate. She left it open knowing that all of hell would flow out. She had wanted that. But he did not know why. He began to think. ‘Why is she doing this? There is no reason to release hell on earth. What is her play here’.

“Father what do you want to do?”

He didn’t respond.

“Father?”

“I'm thinking you twat.”

He yelled. After minutes of silence, he spoke.

“We will have some go out and look for her. She probably is hiding somewhere. Send out demons to search for her. In the meantime, we will go about our business on earth. It won't take long for the angels to descend on earth.”
