38. Going to Hell

Elise face contorted as she looked at Michael.

“Get out of that bed and put on some clothes.”

Neither moved.

“NOW.” Michael thundered.

Leviathan hurriedly moved off of her. Elise, however, did not care that Michael was in the room. She casually got out of the bed and walked over to the closet. She took her time putting on a pair of jeans and a tank top. Then she grabbed a pair of Leviathans jeans and walked out tossing them to him.

“What do you want Uncle?” Elise said apathetically. She used to think of him as the strongest, biggest, most all-powerful angel. Recently though she was not impressed by him in the slightest. He was just someone who had tried to control her once.

“You shouldn’t be cavorting with Demons, let alone A prince of Hell.”

“I wouldn’t talk to me about what I should or shouldn’t be doing.”

“Why don’t you give it a rest Michael.” Leviathan said.

“Shut it Leviathan. Your presence is testing me.”

“What are you doing here?” Elise asked.

“I came to tell you that we know what you have been up to, and that...”

Elise cut him off. “Oh, what am I up to, and what do you possibly think you can do to stop me?”

“We know you have been killing humans.”

Elise fell silent for a moment. Then her faced broke out into a smile and she began to laugh. Minuets passed before she regained her composer.

“So, what? Are you upset about a few humans dying before there time?”

“Elise, you know we don’t kill humans.”

“That isn't true is it though? My father certainly does. He also kills angels who have become too damaged, isn’t that right?”

“Well, yes.”

“So, what you are saying is you are upset that I am doing the same thing as my father. Well better than him in fact; seeing as I haven't killed any angels yet.”

“Yet? where you planning to?”

“No, not unless they get in my way I do not plan to. Then again, I didn’t really plan to kill those humans either. So, I don’t know what to tell you, she said flippantly.”

“Elise, this is not right. You know that.”

“So, is this why you are here? To tell me I am doing wrong.”

Just then Michael saw her new mark. It was red and inflamed.

“Elise, you let him mark you!”

“Yes.”

“Elise, this is enough. You are coming with me now.”

“The hell I am.”

Leviathan lunged at Michael. They crashed through the wall and began to fight hand to hand. Leviathan got the upper hand and started to beat his face. He pummeled him for a while until he was sure he was out.

Then he got up and went to Elise.

“What do you want to do?”

He let Elise take the lead since he was unsure of what to do next.

“Well, I want him gone but at the same time I want answers. I still don’t know about my mother and what happened to her. We have investigated it so many times but there is no information and I still want to know what the hell happened.”

“Okay then we need a plan to get him to talk.”

“There will be no reason for one.”

Elise and Leviathan turned to see that Michael had regained consciousness. He was standing a few feet from them with his long sword out. It was huge, but he held it as if it was light as a feather. Levi stepped back and pulled his Trident out.

Elise rolled her eyes as the two started squaring off. As they began to fight, she pulled her weapon out and walked right into the fray. Elise and Leviathan worked together to fight Michael. Elise knew how he moved. After all he was the one whom had taught her.

After trading blows for a good while they finally overtook him. They knew that it was pointless, however. Unless Elise had decided to kill him, he would just walk away without a care in the world. Elise bent down and cut behind his knees. He dropped to the floor. It would take him a few minutes to recover.

Elise stood over him and held her blade to his throat. He looked at her in a pleading manner.

“Elise, you don’t have to do this.”

“And I don’t plan to. I just want to know what happened to my mother?”

Michael drew a breath in. He did not want to divulge what he knew. Elise moved the blade closer, so it was digging into his flesh drawing blood. Michael gulped.

“So, what is it going to be?”

“Fine, your mother died.”

“There is more to it than that. What did she die from. I have a feeling she didn’t die because of childbirth. That would have been in the doctor’s notes.”

“No, she didn’t die due to childbirth.”

“So. Go on.”

She pushed a little deeper drawing more blood.

“Your father loved your mother. It was an all-consuming love, but it was never meant to happen. After you were born part of his punishment was to get rid of her. “

“What?”

“Your father killed your mother. That is the truth of it.”

“And who told him to do such a thing.”

“The council of course. We weren't going to have him distracted for the next 50 years.”

“What? Are you saying it wasn’t her time to die?”

Michael closed his mouth. It began to hit Elise what had happened. She lowered her arm for a second as she pondered this realization. In that split second Michael grabbed his weapon and lunged. It connected stabbing Leviathan in the chest.

A black light began to form around him. He was on his way to hell. Elise saw how everything was unfolding and moved quickly. If Leviathan was going to hell she was going to hell as well. She latched onto him as she looked at Michael.

“You and everyone on the council; your time is limited. I am coming for you.” The void closed around them and they were gone.
