36. An Audience
The party lasted well into the night. It was just before dawn when the last guest left. Elise looked at Leviathan. “Well, that was fun.”
“Yes, it was.”
They moved into the bedroom and Levi looked at Elise. He needed to tell her about the inappropriate encounter with Georgia. “Elise,”
“What's up.”
“Well, I don’t think Georgia should be coming around anymore.”
“I agree with you, but why are you bringing this up?”
“Well, she tried something.”
“Ha, I didn’t think she would actually do that. I warned her to watch out, and she didn’t listen. This will not end well for her.” Elise walked over to the window.
“What are you doing?”
“I won't be gone long.”
“Elise must you really take care of this now.”
“Hey, I warned her, and I don’t like to break my word.”
“Fine, if you must. I'll be here when you get back.”
Elise took a step out the window and opened her black wings. She knew where Georgia lived. She had been there several times. When she got to the apartment, she found a window that had been left open a crack. She opened it up all the way and went through.
She made her way to Georgia’s room. She reached out to open the door when the handle moved. The door swung open and two familiar faces where in front of her. “Saxon, Baylor, what are you two doing here?” She said quietly.
Baylor put his finger up in front of his lips while Saxon motioned for her to follow them into the living room.
“What are you doing here?” Baylor asked.
“I am here to kill Georgia.” Elise did not even bat an eye about killing anymore. She had done it several times since Sean. To her it had become something she just did out of anger. And she was angry at Georgia.
The brothers looked at each other, then turned and looked at Elise. “What did she do?”
“She made a pass at your father”
“Ewe gross.” Saxon cringed and shook himself. “Gyahh! I hate it when this happens. “
“When what happens?”
“Sometimes when Dad turns down a girl, we end up with her it just rubs me the wrong way.”
Elise made a face as she imagined what the boys must have just been doing with Georgia. Then she wondered how often this sort of thing did happen. As she was thinking about it Saxon asked, “Are you really going to kill her.”
“Yes, I plan to unless you’re attached.”
The brothers started laughing. “Us attached to some girl, yeah right.”
“Whatever.” Elise got serious. “You two better be going.”
“Umm, Elise.”
“Yes.”
“Can we watch?”
“Watch?” Elise was shocked. Why would anyone want to watch her kill someone.
“It is just we have been wanting to see your weapon and how it works. I mean your wings are huge and black and well we have never seen anything like them. Your weapon has got to be bad ass.”
Elise thought about it for a minute. She didn’t like the idea of someone watching her kill. Although she was used to the feeling, she didn’t know if she could share it with anyone else, well besides Leviathan. As she studied the look on Baylor and Saxons though, she caved in.
“Oh, alright.”
The brothers smiled wickedly. Then the three of them crept back into the bedroom. Georgia was sprawled out naked on the bed fast asleep. The boys had really given her a workout. Elise reached behind her head and pulled out her weapon. Saxon and Baylor Practically squealed with delight.
She had become much more experienced with her blade. She could do what she had done that time with her father now. She could sever the soul without making a mess of things. Sometimes though, when she was really mad, she let her emotions go unchecked. At those times just like with Sean things would get bloody. It took restraint to make severing the soul clean.
She lifted the weapon up and looked at Baylor and Saxon. “As soon as I make the finale blow, we need to leave immediately. I mean the second it is over.”
“What, why?”
“Because an Angel is going to come collect the soul.”
“Oh.”
She brought her weapon down stabbing Georgia’s leg. She had not intended to kill her swiftly. She had told her she would regret it and she was going to. Georgia woke up screaming and looked at Elise.
In between her screams of pain, she yelled. “You bitch! What the hell?” Elise didn’t say anything. She just stabbed her other thigh. Georgia let out a blood curdling scream. Elise was starting to get tired of the screaming. With her knew found blood lust she had begun to lose patience with most people and their annoying human behaviors.
Elise looked down at the bloody Georgia. “I told you to back the hell off. But you couldn’t could you. You just had to try.”
“Please Elise, don’t do this. “
“Begging is not going to help.”
She Drove her sword down through Georgia’s throat. That would shut her up. Georgia fell back holding her neck. Elise put her weapon away as Georgia blead out. She moved back to where the boys were waiting by the door. They made their way quickly out of the apartment. As the door shut, Elise heard wings. They had made it out without being seen.
