Chase, Emily, Jason, Truman and Brady had all seen the video that Cameron took of my lair meeting and they had taken it upon themselves to come and talk some sense into me. They were surprised to see Megan here and I didn’t really have any answers for them except that I was still the Sire of the lair.
“Well that was a wasted trip,” Truman said.
“Not really, Emily bonded,” Chase said with a wide grin.
“Why are you smiling like that, bonding’s a good thing,” Link said as we all started laughing again.
“You haven’t met her parents have you?” Truman asked.
“No, why?” Link asked as he looked a bit paler.
“Oh man can we have a party when Link’s introduced to them?” Jason asked.
“Come on guys, it’s not that bad,” I said.
“She bonded with him while his hook up was fighting in the kitchen with Megan!” Chase said.
“Rev’s going to have a field day with him!” Brady said.
“Obviously if I knew I’d meet her today I would never have brought that other thing home,” Link said in his defense.
“What do you want Emily?” I asked her.
“A clean STD test for starters,” she said and I laughed as I looked at Chase.
“Clean sheets on the bed,” Megan said and Link looked guiltily at her.
“Shit I’m going to be jumping through hoops here right,” Link said.
“We should announce the good news and invite everyone over for formal introductions,” I said and stood up.
“We can have a barbecue,” Megan suggested.
“Link you’re on store duty, Chase you’re in charge of drinks with the guys, Emily you and Megan can sort out the rest of the details while I call the family,” I said and walked to my office.
“This is Lucas,” he answered his phone.
“Hi Dad,” I said.
“Ryder,” he replied. I could hear the restraint in his voice.
“I hope you’re in the mood for a barbecue,” I said.
“What?” he asked me.
“Emily just found her bonded half in my lair, so as her future Sire I’m inviting her current Sire and her family for a barbecue so the two families can meet and Rev can beat his ass,” I said.
“Are you serious?” he asked me.
“Yes, did you send Chase and the gang here?” I asked him.
“Chase is there?” he asked me.
“They came for some sort of intervention,” I said to him.
“You said as her future Sire…” he said and his voice trailed off.
“My request to resign as Sire has been denied in the dragon realm,” I said to him.
“That’s great! Let me talk to Rev and Hannah first, he’s going to flip out,” he said.
“No killing him please,” I said.
“Who is it?” he asked me.
“Link, my second,” I said and Lucas started laughing.
“See you later then,” he said and ended the call.
I was still chuckling as I headed upstairs and headed to the bathroom for a shower. It was going to be a long ass day and there might be some spilled blood involved. I turned the shower on and climbed inside and stood under the hot water.
I heard the shower door open as I went through a mental check list for the barbecue and I felt her hands encircle me from behind. It wasn’t Megan’s scent though and my whole body stiffened as I loosened her arms from around me and opened the shower door.
“What the fuck are you thinking?” I asked her loudly as I wrapped a towel around me.
“I’m thinking we can have a lot of fun together, I know what Megan gets like and I’m sure you’re already bored,” Tori said as she dripped water on the bathroom floor.
“You really are insane,” I said as I opened the bathroom door and Megan walked in through the bedroom door with Tori following me out of the bathroom naked.
“Oh Megan,” Tori said as she looked at her.
“It’s not what you think,” I said to her.
“I think it’s exactly what I think,” Megan said as she walked towards me and I could feel the anger rolling off her.
“I guess the cat’s out of the bag now,” Tori said with a sly smile.
“I think that you thought you could sink your claws into Ryder and make me think there’s something that isn’t there. You’re a sad, pathetic excuse of a person Tori. Ryder wasn’t interested in you in high school and you really think he’d invite you in here after you spent the night with Link? Do you even know him at all?” Megan asked her.
“Didn’t you already throw her out?” I asked Megan.
“Clearly she didn’t get the message,” Megan said as she grabbed Tori by the hair and dragged her towards the door.
I could hear Tori screaming as Megan dragged her down the stairs. The sounds drowned out but I was pretty sure that it was entertaining for the guys in the living room as Megan threw a naked Tori out of our house. Abeloth was laughing his ass off in my head and I started getting dressed.
“That was the last naked woman to get out of the shower with you,” Megan said from behind me as I stood in the dressing room.
“Jealous much?” I asked her.
“That wasn’t a request Ryder Grey, nobody touches what is mine,” she said and walked out of the dressing room.
“Excuse me? Nobody touches what is yours?” I asked her.
“You heard me, we bonded, the past is the past and I’m not letting go and I’m not getting rejected by the likes of you, you should count yourself lucky to have me,” she said fiercely as I started to laugh.
“You’re the one that left me remember,” I said to her.
“Because I thought you wanted me gone, I’m not going to apologize a thousand times, I said I was sorry and I meant it, I came back here the moment I heard the truth of what happened to you so don’t get all high and mighty on me now, I felt you poking my backside this morning,” she said as I looked at her.
“So this is what you want?” I asked her.
“Yes and you know you want it too, sulk for a week about the trust thing if you want to, it’s fine, I’ll give you that time, but I was hurt too, you want me to jump through hoops like you had to? Fine, I’ll do it,” she said as she crossed her arms.
“Fine,” I said as she smiled at me.
“Will you kiss me now?” she asked as she walked closer to me.
“Under one condition,” I said to her.
“What’s that?” she asked as she took my hands.
“No sex until I’m ready to give myself to you,” I said to her as she burst out laughing.
“Whatever you say Sire Grey,” she said and kissed me.
She pushed me towards the bed as she kissed me and I felt the back of my legs hit the bed. She pushed me down and straddled me as my hands went under her shirt. Abeloth was smacking himself against the head at how easily I had given in.
“Are you sure you want me to stop?” Megan asked and I started laughing again.
“We have guests coming and half a store to buy out,” I said as I pushed her off me and grabbed the t-shirt that had fallen on the floor.
“Let me just sanitize the shower and I’ll get ready,” she said as I shook my head.
“Do you think we have enough shower cleaner to get the smell of skank out of it?” I asked her as she laughed.
“I can’t believe she had the nerve to get in the shower naked with you!” she said angrily.
“She scared the shit out of me, I jumped out of that shower so fast I think I still have soap in places where I shouldn’t,” I said as she smiled and laughed softly.
“I’ll wash it off for you later,” she said.
“I see your plan Megan, you just want me wet and naked,” I said as she blushed and laughed.
“Whatever Ryder, you’re not all that,” she said as she threw my wet towel at me and turned the shower on.
I found the gang in the living room where Brady and Chase were busy grappling on the floor and Link sat staring at Emily as she gave him the cold shoulder. Truman was busy on his phone and Jason was in the kitchen, eating whatever he could find, there he was just like his father, Preston.
“I called Lucas, they’ll be joining us for the barbecue,” I said as Brady and Chase got up from the floor.
“Shit, we’re going to need a boat load of drinks,” Chase said.
“I invited my dad too,” Brady said with a smile.
“Senior and junior gangs accounted for,” Truman said.
“Megan will be down in a few minutes Em,” I said.
“She’s my new hero,” Emily said.
“That was epic, I never thought Megan had it in her to literally throw someone out of the house and naked too!” Chase said.
“I got it on video,” Truman said as he smiled slyly.
“I’m going to suffer for the rest of my life,” Link said and Emily looked at him.
“You haven’t met her dad yet,” Truman said.
“You’ll be fine,” I said to Link as Chase and Brady started to laugh.
“Where’s Cameron?” Jason asked from behind me while chewing.
“Probably at Brenda’s house, I’ll send him a text about the barbecue,” I said.
“Okay are we all going?” Brady asked.
“Shit, looks like it,” I said as Megan came down the stairs with her hair still wet and pulled into a ponytail.
“Let’s hit the road guys,” Megan said with a smile.
