Chapter 13

The waiter led me to what seemed to be an inner room, the room was filled with good and enticing scents,? a table and seat for two, different colours of candle .
It looks more like a place meant for telling blovers, flowers were sprinkled on the floor. I went closer to sit, there was a soft white fur rug beneath the table.
The room was indeed special as earlier stated. The waiter helped me to sit. Another waiter brought out De Oliva red wine. This wine is one of the best wines in the city. It is owned by the great merchant? Oliva. The wine is the type made for the creme de la creme of the society. Now I am really impressed with everything I was getting and the treatment I was receiving, I didn't not expect doctor Albert to go this way just to impress me, I knew he is very cute guy and any lady would do anything just to have, for him to be this romantic, marveled me, infact was intrigued.
While say and kept enjoying vtbe site of the litter room, I was in, the waiter poured me wine from the bought of wine he had brought in ice.
"Here ma'am." He handed the wine professionally to me.
"Thank you" I uttered, taking the glass of red from him.
I drank and savoured the taste of the rich red wine,it was really tasteful and welcoming, perfect for the evening. I know doctor Albert must have given them a special instruction to make sure they serve me that wine.
I looked around waiting wondering where doctor Albert is, and taking much time, well it is unlikely for a man to be late for dates. I guess he knew he was going to waste time probably that was why he had instructed them to keep me intrigued while he came..
I waited and kept enjoying the wine I was drinking. A group of 4 men came into the room with guitar and other mobile musical instruments, and they sang beautifully.
Few minutes later, I looked up to see this cute gentleman approach the doctor. If I had not been seeing doctor Albert recently, I would have bet my money he is this guy approaching right now.
He looked more handsome than I ever thought,in his clean tailored black suit with matching pants. He had a million dollar smile on his face. I could not help it, to say I was not moved would be a great lie. He looks more like a charming prince.
He came to the seat and sat down with me,I was still fixed staring at him.
"Hey beautiful" I heard him say.
"Hey, good evening to you,? I responded.
"I am really sorry for keeping you waiting, I had an emergency at the hospital, there was a situation that needed my attention, so I had to attend to it before coming." He explained it to me.
"That is okay doctor,I quite understand the nature of your job." I replied.
For some reason , I was really patient to have waited for the few minutes I have been here without getting angry. I remember a guy once? I had an? appointment for a date that came late. I could not take it, abdeft even before he arrived. And then here I am waiting patiently for doctor Albert.
"I hope they treated you well while I was away" He asked me while looking at the table.
"Yes they did, they did everything you asked them to do"
I told him, smiling and looking round the beautiful room we were in.
The room was something far from the other guests of the restaurant.
"Well, I am happy they did." He responded.
"How did you find out about this place?" I asked him.
"Let just say it is a place I usually bring anyone that matters to me". He said.
"Someone that matters to you, means you must have brought someone here before, so tell me who did you bring the herd" I asked looking directly into his eyes.
I know he was taken aback by my question, because it took him time to actually come up with an answer.
"Well the truth is, I have only brought one person here,and that person was my else"? He answered.
Speaking about ex, this was the first time since we have been having a discussion that he will ever make mention of an ex or being in a relationship. So I wanted to know more about his past relationships yet I did not want to ruin the fun we were about to have here.
"So tell me about your ex, you have spoken almost everything about your life, work, school, close family but I have not heard you speak about your relationship." I asked him.
He chuckled at my question.
"Yeah, I have not spoken about it because there was nothing special to talk about".He answered .
I was not satisfied with his answer, so I pressed further.
"Tell me about it, I want to Know"? I insisted.
"I don't engage in many relationships,I have only had three relationships since I was an adult, we had to part ways , my last relationship ended because we were not medically compatible to marry,so I had to let go of the relationship so that she can go find the right man for her." He concluded.
"Aww, that is cool, I hope I am not opening a healed wound"
I felt guilty bringing back his old memories, something he might have moved on from.
"That is okay, after all that is why we are having a date to get to know each other," He said.
We bought drinks silently from our respective glass of wine. He signalled one of the waiters to come forward, two waiters were standing by a corner in the room, specially assigned to us. The young man came forward with the menu..
I ordered rice and chicken sauce, with a velvet cake and ice cream for dessert. Albert made the same choice.
We talked further while we waited for our order to be served.
"You look ravishingly beautiful tonight." He complimented me.
I could not help but blush at his compliments, I knew I was looking really beautiful tonight, I took my time making sure I appeared breathtaking, and I am glad I did.
"Thank you doctor, and you equally looked good too"? I replied with a cute smile on my face.
I was not flattering him, he really looked cute tonight, more cute than when he was in the office in his doctor's gown.
"Thanks for that." He said.
Our food was brought to the table,the aroma of the food was irresistible and I was already salivating.
We settled for a meal as soon as it was brought to the table. The taste of the food matched with its appearance, the taste was heavenly,very delicious.
"I must confess,this food tastes really good, I see you have eyes for good restaurants.I think I am gonna make here my new place of eating" I said amidst little laughter.
"Yes, you deserve only the best," He said, looking at me.
"Thank you" I replied to him.
"I hope you do mind the fact that I had to bring it out immediately after the burial of your mum," He said.
"No I do not mind, I am not expected to be in sorrow forever, I know if my mum was to be alive, she would be glad that I am trying to find happiness against all odds,so it is okay " I explained to him.
"I am glad you understood me, thank you, I just wanted you to be happy and come of your shell, over thinking can lead to depression you know"? He explained.
"Thank you doctor." I answered him.
"Doctor? I can not believe that up till now, you still address me as a doctor, is that not too official?"?
"I am sorry, I know it will take me time to get used to calling you Albert." I said smiling.
"What more do I need to do?" He asked.
"You don't have to do anything else, you have done enough already." I said to him,
When we were done eating our meal, our dessert was served. It was one of the most tasteful velvet cakes I have ever tasted. I was not a fan of cakes but with this, I think I would have to change my mind about that .
"I told you about my relationship but I did not hear you talk about yours, because it will not be possible for someone as ravishing as you not to have any boyfriend."
His question kept me speechless, how do I explain to him right now that 'someone as ravishing as I am' in his own words, does not have a boyfriend. How do I tell him that I am not in any relationship even though I am ravishing?
