Chapter 31

We came back from where we wanted to have dinner and I was very much exhausted, with the events that had happened all through today. It was draining enough.
"Albert dear,I will be going to my room now to have some rest", I told him.
"Okay, would you want me to spend the night here at your house, would that be okay with you, or would you have me go back to my house?" he asked me.
"Sure, you can pass the night here, since we are a couple now, that will be okay, but you would have to sleep in the guest's room," I told him.
"Alright dear, there is no problem", Albert said.
I instructed the staff to help him have the guest fixed, and as soon as it was ready, I went to my room.
I had my shower and changed to my night dress, I sat down to have a little coffee, I heard the sound of my phone beeping, I took it up and it was Albert. He sent me a lovely good night message. I read the text message with a smile on my face. Even though he passed the night here, he is still his usual self and still very romantic. How thoughtful of him to send me a text.
Albert is the kind of man every lady will wish, the text message sent a feeling into my body, I felt I should be in his hands, I felt like we should repeat what he had in the car the other day, but then I need to respect the fact that I just had my dad buried today, so I am still paying him the last respect and if Albert and I got to repeat that scene it will definitely not be in this hotel.
Albert woke up very early this morning, because he had to be at the hospital and to also have his clothes changed since has been wearing but since the previous day.
"Hey beautiful,are you awake this early? " he asked me.
"Yes, I was woken up by the little noises I heard from my sleep," I told him.
"Oh, I am sorry about that, I was in such a hurry to enable myself with my schedule for today," he told me.
"That is okay,I quite understand you," I replied. I held him by the hand looking directly into his eyes.
"Thank you so much Albert, thank you for being there for me, thank you for choosing to stand with me in this phase of chaos, it is from you that I draw my strength from", I said to him.
I meant every word that I said, he has been so helpful in helping me pull through in the most difficult time of life, I do not know how I would have been able to move on if he had not been here with me, comforting me and helping me out. He made sure I was fine.
"You do not have to thank me, you are my girlfriend so it is only usual I help you out of your hard time, and I truly love you so I would do everything in my power and within my reach to make sure you are comfortable and happy," He said to me.
As soon as he was done having his bath, he drove out to work.
I went through my schedule and I found out that I needed to go out and check out about the status of my admission. I checked my phone and realized I got an email from them.
I carefully read the mail and sent them a reply immediately.
I decided to go out and shop for the things I will be needing and I would be traveling to the school very soon.
I called my uncle to tell him of the latest development.
"Hello Uncle", I greeted.
"Hello Erica", He answered.,
"Uncle, I just want to inform you that I might be leaving for the school anytime soon", I told him.
"Ok, that sounds good, congratulations", He said to him.
"Thank you", I muttered as I hung up.
ANTHONIO'S POV
I was glad that Erica will be leaving for school soonest, it will make me time to change everything in the company without anyone questioning me about anything.
It will be a lot easier, in her absence, so that she would not bother me about not informing her about the things going on in the company.
ERICA'S POV
After I spoke with my uncle on the phone, I decided it would be a great decision if I called a meeting for the staff and board members of my dad's company, so that I can have an official identification with them. At least it will be better if they get to meet and know me now briefly rather than looking like a total stranger to them when I come back from my school.
I called my staff to help me organize a 'meet and greet' even for the company staff. I wanted to inform my uncle about it, but I changed my mind since it was more like a personal decision.
I quickly searched for the phone number of the staff that called me the other time, I put a call across to her, informing her of my intentions and equally asked her to help me organize just a little event. Where I will have to meet the staff and we get to know each other .
"Hello", I said as soon as she answered her call.
"Hello ma'am, how may I help you ,"
"I am sorry to bother you, can you please help me organize a 'meet and greet' even in the office, more like getting to know each other, I would like to meet the staff, while they meet me too" I told her.
"Sure ma'am, anything you want, I would readily do that for you," she said.
"Thank you very much," I replied.
"So how would you want it to be?" she inquired.
"I just want something simple,yet nice, just a form of gathering of the staff, board members and myself, for us to get to know each other, you see, I will be traveling Abroad soonest for my education, and I hopefully plan on taking over the company on my return,so I would want to use this opportunity to meet everyone briefly before I leave," I explained to her.
"Ok ma'am, I get it now, let me send a memo to the staff," she replied.
"Ok, thank you," I responded to her and dropped the call.
Few minutes later, I got a call from her that she has sent the memo to everyone and they have equally replied. I told her to also make provisions for drinks to be served. When everything was set she informed me and got ready to go.
I opted to wear something comfortable yet classy that fits into a work dress. I didn't really have many work dresses since I never got to work since a year ago that I finished my first degree. My dad had insisted that I continue acquiring more certificates so that I would have to work in his company rather than working for someone else .
I went to my closet and searched for a dress that would be suitable for the event. I came across a navy blue jumpsuit and a black shoes to match.
I checked myself out in the dressing mirror and was happy with my outlook, I applied a little makeup on my face and headed outside.
I called my driver Fabian to drive me to the company.
As soon as I got to the company, I was glad most of my instructions were carried out. The staff I called earlier to put everything in order actually tried her best and even more than I expected.
The staff and board members were already outside chatting and talking.
Later on, I called on their attention .
"Hello everyone, I am Miss Erica Tyler, as some of you already knows me while some of you do not know, I am the daughter of your former CEO Mr Tyler Wood's, so I organized this little event I call 'meet and greet' it is an avenue for us to get to meet and know ourselves," I said.
There was clapping from them, so I waited for them before I continued.
"So like I said before, let 's get to know each other, feel free to get to know your colleagues and mingle with them. That is the sole purpose of this little event", I concluded.
I went round introducing myself to the staff, I went to the board members and also got to meet and know some of them. They were really nice people. I spoke with them for some time and they were impressed at my level of intelligence and said they could not wait to have me working with them. I assured them that sooner than later I will be joining them. When we were through I left for home. Immediately I got back home, I continued with my school details, checking and making sure it was accurate.
