Chapter 25

I put a call to my uncle to know why he had gone to warn Albert to stay away from me.
"Hi uncle." I greeted as he answered the call.
"Hello Erica," He responded.
"Uncle I wanted ask you questions" I told him, not knowing how and where to start from without sounding rude nor offensive.
"You can go ahead" he said.
"Uncle ,Albert said something about you warning him go stay away from me, but I am not sure he is sure if he is saying so I called to inquire from you what happened exactly" I told him.
"Yes, I went to his office to warn him to stay away from you, and meant every word of it." He replied with so much anger evident in his voice.
"But why uncle, why would you ask him to stay away from me, when he had not done anything wring, he has ever done since I got to know him was to look out for my happiness, why then do you want him not to come closer to me, tell me what he has done wrong" I was getting pissed ,but I tried as much as possible not get do angry with my uncle .
I see no reason why he should tell me not to get any close to Albert without a concrete reason.
I might not understand his hatred for Albert but I do not want him or anything to come between Albert and I..My mind has never been so sure about someone as it is with doctor Albert. I can not wrap my head around why my uncle suddenly wants Albert to stay away from me, of course he has not done anything wrong and he has never betrayed his loyalty to us. Now that I have been able to find love, why cant he stand by me, after all it has always being the ideatbst I should find a man before any of my inheritance will be handed over to me, I thought my uncle is supposed to be happy that I am getting close to achieving one the criteria..
"That guy is not just good for you Erica," he said to me.
" How can you say someone is not good for me when they have not done anything wrong" I asked him, expecting an answer from him.
"I just told you he is not good for you"
ANTONIOS POV
I was worried because Erica has refused to see reasons with me, even though I did not give her a particular reason why she should stop seeing Albert, I had expected her to accept whatever I told her, now, she seems to have fallen in love with doctor Albert, if she eventually marries him, it will shatter the plans I have being working on for a very long time and that will not be too good.
I did not know what best way I can get to convince her to stay away from that young man. I needed to act as fast as I could, I wondered why Erica has not gone to the school yet.
She is supposed to have gone to the school already so that I can begin with taking over the company already.
I intended calling her back to inquire about her travelling for school, but I decided against it as it might spark up suspicions a d for the fact we have not being in good terms lately.
"I am going to allow her calm her nerves before I can tell her what to do" I thought to myself.
But I must have to make sure she does not choose Albert as her husband as it will still make my plans not to work out. If Erica gets married to Albert everything that her father owns becomes hers and ofcm course since Albert is Erics husband he automatically inherit all and so I would be left with nothing.
ERICAS POV
My uncle not being able to explain to me why I should leave Albert really got me pissed, I made up my mind not listen to him nor anyone else about leaving Albert, I made up my mind I will go on and date Albert except my instincts says otherwise.
I took my my phone to check some of the things that I needed to do. Then I came across cell phone number of the staff if our company that I spoke with on tbe day the meeting was held, I remembered I had not called her back to inquire about how the meeting went because my uncle asked me not to worry.
But now I decided to put a call to her.
"Hello,this is Miss Erica Tyler" I greeted as soon as she answered her phone.
"Hello maam, " she responded.
"I want to know what happened at the meeting that was organised the other time" I told her.
"Well maam, nothing much was discussed at the meeting, except the fact that your uncle said we should be reporting directly to him now" She told me.
"Ok thank you" I said and ended the call.
What! How could my uncle instruct them to be reporting directly to him, without even informing me about.
Even though my dad is sick,at least I can be able to take care of the company till he is back to his feet, and even though my uncle decides to help out there is still procedures he should have followed. He could have allowtbe board of trustees of the company to handle those things, and not to be totally in charge and in control of finances.
Something actually feels shaddy from his actions, but I shrugged the thoughts off from my mind. My uncle has being with my dad for many years and I know whatever he does is for our own good interest and everything will be perfect.
I decided not think about it, I know that whatever happens it is just for a mean time, and once I go to the university to study and graduate successfully, gets married, the company will be handed over to me. That way I will be to monitor the company closely and take records of things done and how the finance is managed.
I am not going to allow the hard of my dad over the years to go down the drain. My uncle has being very supportive and has being there for us for a long time, but the recent way he handles things, I guy was the reason he usually used go have a fall out with mum when she was still alive.
I did not want to have a fall out with my uncle as he happens to be only close relative I have left.
I checked on my my designer to ask him for the dresses I had asked him to make for me the previous day.
He told me that some of the clothes were ready and I could come to check them out. I decided to drive myself to the his outlet. I decided not to go with my driver because I wanted to have some for myself to think through, without inteferring in my thoughts.
Tbe streets were busy as usual as I drove to my stylists shop. I drove past the restaurant we visited the very first day Albert and I went out on our first date. I smiled remembering the mouth watering dish we had there.
I got to my stylists shop and met him very busy with works, his staff greeted me with smiles, my mum and I have been their long time clients and because he was good at what he does my mum and I retained his services and kept coming back for more designs.
He usually has lots of jobs to do because he many people even top celebrities employs his services and he delivers proficiently without delays.
After exchanging pleantries he brought out my clothes that were ready for the time being for me to try them on.
I tried the clothes on and they fitted perfectly well on my beautiful body, one thing about my body is the beauty it give to any dress I put on it.
My stylist compliment me.
He had some touches to make in few if the dresses, I went back into the dressing room of the shop to have the the clothes removed so that he could complete with what is left to be done. After I removed the dresses, I gave them back to him, while I waited for them to be ready. I looked round shop a lot of things had changed from the last time I visited, the shop is nowvmuch bigger, broader and now has a handful staff. There were so many beautiful styles on display. They were really beautiful that I had to asked her to make some of those designs for me next.
She was done with the dresses, I tried them on again and everything seemed perfectly done and I left.
