Chapter 37

The little noises from the hotel woke me up from my sleep, I looked around to see that the day had become so bright, I have being sleep for a long time that I did not even get to know that it was day time already.
Even though this hotel seems so small it still has a way of giving me the comfort that I needed.
I looked through the windows to see how bright the day has become, I sighed remembring that I would still have lots of things to do and lots of people to catch up with. Coming to a new city is just like starting afresh because I would have to learn the way things are done here, and even how to move around so that I would not be found breaking a rules.
First I brought out the little phone given to me by that kind friend, and dialled Albert's phone number. I have wanted to him. I was really missing him and hearing his voice would make me feel a bit relieved.
"Hello Mr cutie," I teased him.
"Hi love, I have being trying to reach you," he said.
"Yeah,you know I needed to fix my mobile phone first before I could be able to use it," I replied.
"That is fine,so how was your trip, I hope you had a smooth journey?" He asked me.
"Yes I did , thank you," I replied.
After speaking with Albert, I went into the bathroom to have a shower, I decided to use the water heater so that I can have a warm bath and luckily for me it was working perfectly.
After having my bath, I went to the mini restaurant to have my breakfast, by the time I got there, the restaurant staff were already at the place, some of the were already getting to know know as they greeted me like someone they have been familiar with. I loved the way they treated there customers with outmost care and respect and very eager to serve.
They brought the menu for me and after searching through it, I decided to have scrambled eggs and fried potatoes, their breakfast menu seemed alot flexible than the menu they presented the previous night on my arrival.
As I had my breakfast, I hoped to see the kind gentle that helped me by giving me one of his phones. It is rare to see someone lend a helping hand to a total stranger in a foreign land. I was so impressed with his actions and I wanted to say a very big 'Thank you' to him and to tell him how happy I am. But I could not see him, probably he has gone to his business, nor he might be in his room.
After having my breakfast, I waited a little longer if I could see the kind man, but I was not able to see him.
I tried asking the restaurant staff but they said that so many people with that description I gave, comes to the restaurant on daily basis and they would not be able to identify who I was referring to.
I put a call to Rose to know her where abouts, the descriptions of the place she gave me, I was not familiar with. So I told her I could not come out, I would have to text her the name of the hotel I lodged and how to locate it.
I called on one of the staff if the restaurant and he told me the address of the hotel which I sent to Rose. In the text message, I gave her a vivid description of tbe hotel and how she could easily locate it.
About thirty minutes later, Rose arrived at the hotel and called me, I called her to come to the hotel and wait for me at the restaurant while I went into my room to dress up. While she was at the restaurant, I called the restaurant to offer her a bottle of wine to keep her busy while I go to my room.
As soon as I got into my room, I wore a simple jeans trouser and a black T-shirt, I applied a very slight makeup and went out. I did not want to look so sophisticated or draw unnecessary attention to myself.
"Hello dear," I greeted Rose.
"Hello" she replied.
Rose wore a simple dress, for the first time, I noticed how beautiful she is, she is a very beautiful young lady. Full of life and full of smiles, she had earlier on told me that she is the party type, that she likes to party and have fun alot.
We both exchanged pleasantries and went out to where she packed her car, she came in with Toyota Camry car. From the way Rose spoke I could sense that she came from a very rich home, and had rich relatives in this city too. I briefly told her about myself but excluding the fact that I am tbe daughter of very rich billionaire that has a controls different business empires.
She was delighted to see me as well as I am, we headed to the phone shop, were I could get my phone settings fixed and everything working fine. I was lucky, I went the person in charge of the phone shop and he helped me get everything perfectly done. The settings of tbe phone was worked on, the VPN and other features, so that I can enjoy the city's signals , can be able to use my phone's internet services and he able to call my loved ones,family friends and relatives.
When I was done fixing my phone, Rose suggested we go see a movie. We browsed through the web of the film owners to see which movie would be best to see, and when decided on the particular movie to see we proceeded to the nearest cinema, she seems to know the city every well as she navigates through the road at ease.
I when we got to the cinema, we ordered for soda and snacks before going in to settle for the movie. There were so much people in tbe cinema to see the particular movie we have come for, the movie seems to be a blockbuster movie.
A very interesting movie was being aired, one of my favorite movies, it was an action packed movie with top actors casting in the movie. The movie lasted for close to two hours.
It was the kind of movie that keeps more glued to the television and keep requesting for more, almost everyone at the cinema was not happy when the movie ended, but we're happy the movie ended in a subtle way..
We stepped out the cinema feeling very excited, Rose dropped me back to the hotel and headed home to where one of her relatives lives.
I was very much glad for a day we'll spent . I brought the things in bag to check for what I would be needing in the school the next day,I made sure all the necessary things were put in place. I have heard how the school would not attend to anyone who fails to come along with the required documents.
I searched through my things and saw the engagement ring Albert gave to me, I remembered I had removed when I needed to pull something out of my bag, seeing the engagement ring brought back all the lovely memories we both have shared.
I thought about how we met and how everything is gradually turning out to be a perfect stories for our lives and I smiled broadly.
It has not been awhile that I got here,but I was already missing a great deal of him, I decided to call him one more time to hear his voice. I took the ring, held it firmly in my palm and kissed it, I held it close to my heart and promised myself that I am going to keep it safe and sound.
The ring that Albert gave me was irresistibly a beautiful ring, I know it must have cost him so much to get it, considering the kind of ring it is and how beautiful it is. I admired so much and I was happy it is going to be gracing my fingers forever and would soon be replaced with a more bifiting one, this time not just an engagement ring but a wedding ring altogether.
Aside from gaining entry into this university of my dreams, Albert is another good thing that has happened to me. With the things that has happened to me ,and how I lost my precious parents, I was already turning to have a sad life but everything changed the moment Albert and I decided to love and hold each other to walk through life together. I tucked the ring into my finger and continued arranging my documents as Rose and I would be in the school for registration.
